"Luden! Can I do some cherry make-up on you?" I kicked the door to Luden's office open while holding a basket of cherries on my head.

Only to run into Luceus Netarus. He was having a meeting with Luden, who was his advisor or something, and I was intruding.

"Get out, go do it on Avis." Luden dismissed as I simply walked out with a "Okay!" Not in the mood to deal with a tyrant crown prince.

Of course, I didn't close the door.

"... Lord, just take me now." Luden sighed deeply massaging his temple as Pennel patted his head and closed the door for him. "I apologize for her."

"Don't. This is a rather refreshing change to her usual behavior." Luceus replied wearing a rather amused expression on his face while Luden side-eyed him.

"You can't be serious, your highness..." Luden muttered with a rather concerned expression on his face.

"Oh, but I am. It was the same as the last Imperial ball, it's as if she's a completely different person. And I'd be lying if I said I didn't find it amusing." Luceus continued.

"In fact, I think it'd be a good decision to bring her along with you to the hunting festival this year." Luceus suggested as Luden's jaw dropped open.

"You can't be serious, your highness?!" Luden repeated, shooting out of his seat with a very concerned expression on his face.

They had never brought Sovine along to a hunting festival since three years ago when she almost killed Baron Hilorium's daughter for looking at her the wrong way.

Especially since the hunting festival was usually three weeks long at least. It'd be madness to bring her along again!

But if the crown prince himself says to do so, they had no choice but to obey.

"Oh. But I am." The damned crown prince smirked at Luden, clearly enjoying himself while Luden gritted his teeth.

"I... Understand..." Luden reluctantly agreed, this was the main reason why Luden had been able to keep the position of advisor the longest after all.

He was the only one who could humor Luceus's absurd demands with in ways with the least consequences.

"That's great!" Luceus grinned.

-----

"Avis! Cherry- ARGHHH!" I kicked the door to Avis's room open only to screech when a bucket of water was tossed on me.

"BEGONE DEMON! THIS IS HOLY WATER FROM-" "WHAT THE FUCK AVIS?!" I threw the bowl of cherries which now also had water on him.

"KWAJAAAAAA!" Avis screeched and tumbled off his bed frame which he was previously standing on.

"What the hell is "Kwaja"?" Vidoro suddenly entered the room with Ardeat behind him with the most fed up expression ever in her face.

"Oh- Ardeat! Have you-" "BEGONE!" Avis suddenly threw yet another bucket of holy water on me while I tackled him to the ground.

"DEMON!" Avis squealed.

"My lady, young master. Please, you two have to get ready now to meet Grand Duke Romanus." Ardeat informed as Avis and I finally stopped wrestling on the ground.

"Who the fuck is Grand Duke Romanus?" We both asked simultaneously.

"Your fiancΓ©, my lady." Ardeat responded as I immediately jumped back up to my feet remembering the meeting we had planned today.

He had also requested that Avis come this time around too, for some reason. But I had to get ready!

I mean, going there wet would be a pretty good disaster too but Ardeat wouldn't accept that no matter the circumstances.

"Avis? Is Sovine in here?" A voice similar to Luden's called out as we heard a knock from the door.

"Yeah! Come in!" I called out as Avis glared at me, "It's my room!"

"The crown price has ordered- ..." Luden suddenly sigh while holding his forehead as it seemed as if ten years had just been taken off his lifespan.

"... We're screwed Pennel..." Luden sunk as the butler, Pennel, who stood behind him also gripped his head and sighed.

"I... Will go pray in the temple for a miracle, young lord." Pennel gave whatever bit of reassurance he could give to Luden who sighed even deeper.

"... Any idea why he's acting like this?" Vidoro whispered to me and Avis.

"The last thing I saw, was him sitting with the crown prince." I responded.

"Then that shitty crown prince must've some kind of absurd order again." Avis assumed, "Can't say I'm surprised."

"... Everyone sit down. There is something we must talk about." Luden suddenly instructed, this was probably a good chance to get him to kill me.

But he honestly looked pitiful right now so I just sat down as he had asked and decided to hear him out first before raising his blood pressure any further.

"... The crown prince has made another order." Luden began as Vidoro and I side-eyed Avis who had a "I knew it!" Expression on his face.

"He's asked that we take Sovine to the next hunting festival." Luden suddenly announced as both Avis and Vidoro's faces fell into one of pure horror.

"What?!" Avis shot out of his seat.

"Have you spoken to father about this?!" Vidoro asked jolted up on his seat, gripping the armrests of the chair.

"Yes, I have. But there isn't much we can do against an order from the crown prince." Luden sighed for the eight time today.

"Was it because I barged into your room with a bowl of cherries on my head asking to do cherry make up on you while he was with you in a meeting?" I asked.

"..." Everyone turned to me and just stared in silence before all sighing simultaneously, even the butler.

"Whattt?! It was a genuine question?!" I clarified only for them to sigh again and Avis to finally sit down in exhaustion.

And the fact that Avis sat down on his own without being told by the duke to with his jumpy hyperactive ass. Meant that things were actually pretty bad.

"... We're gonna be executed..." Vidoro muttered, now they were just overreacting and being dramatic for no reason.

"Oh, come on. I'm not that bad. I'll at least behave in the palace." I reassured but it was already quite clear from the way the others slowly turned to me that they did not believe me.

"It's fine. We have a little more than a week to prepare." Luden spoke up again. Hold up, prepare for what?

"Prepare for what-" "Sovine. You'll be starting etiquette classes today." Luden cut me off just as I had voiced my question.

"... Huh?" I asked with confusion written all over my face.

"But I've already taken etiquette classes, no?" I knew damn well that they didn't leave a grand duke's daughter without etiquette classes.

"Yes. But due to your recent behaviors, you'll be taken them again." Luden explained, was this some new form of torturing me?

"Hell no. I am not doing that. What are they even going to teach me in a week? And what do you mean "today"?" I did not have the time for this.

I was already too busy with trying to get the brothers to kill me, plotting more schemes to get Anartis to break off the engagement, and understanding this new system thingy and the book.

"Exactly. There isn't much you could be taught in a week. So you'll start today." Luden explained as he got up from his seat and began walking to the door.

"Hey! I said I'm not doing that!" I called out but that asshole wasn't listening at all, he just walked out the door and left while Vidoro followed after me.

"What are you laughing at?" I snapped at Avis hearing him snickering.

"This is going to be Hilarious." Avis cackled as I rolled my eyes at him before running after Luden, if I was going to suffer might as well take Avis with me.

"Luden! Let's make a deal!" I smirked at him as he raised a brow at my behavior.

"Have Avis take the etiquette classes with me and I won't complain and try my best to diligent learn whatever shit they teach me." I suggested.

"Okay." Luden immediately agreed, this could save the family from execution!

"Hurrah!" I cheered as Avis stared at Luden in disbelief muttering "Traitor!" Under his breath.

-----

And that afternoon, our etiquette classes began in the earnest. And it was pure torture.

I had no idea whatsoever what they were saying and honestly, neither did Avis.

However, Sovine had thankfully already taken etiquette classes when she was younger so it was basically muscle memory for her and I survived.

She must've payed extra careful attention to her etiquette classes to impress the duke and the brothers.

Avis on the other hand... Was struggling. Well, no surprise there.

In the end be we never got to meet Anartis that day, but Ardeat sent a letter explaining why in a way to not embarrass me so everything turned out fine.

Thank god for Ardeat.

To be continued...

I gotta get back in track bro this is so disappointing
