As the day started, the human got up from his bed and out of the cave. The werewolf was alredy out. Meanwhile, the ghost was annoying her with very bad jokes.
🗣️ "How are we of supplies?"
🐺 "... Supplies? Oh ... Do you mean, the ones I ... Ate ..."
🗣️ "... Right. We better get more then"
👻 "She was a savage eating, you should've seen her face"
🐺 "Hey, quit it"
The human held his laugh back.
🗣️ "Very well, you could go catch some fish and birds, meanwhile I'll look for some berries. Ghost, come with me, you'll be my eyes"
🐺 "On it"
👻 "Hey not fair, I also wanna collect stuff"
🗣️ "Don't you need a physical form for that?"
👻 "... Yeah"
They split up, the werewolf went for the Icy Lake, and the human went to the Titanic Hollow.
She traversed through the Healbloom Field, when she saw a group of vampires wandering near the place the human healed her.
🐺 "What could they be doing here?" She thought to herself. She didn't dare to come near them, and instead kept going for the Wishing Path.
As the human reached the Music Plains, he noticed the goblins had left their gate open but didn't think much of it. He continued to the Titanic Hollow and picked up multiberries and several mushrooms. Before he could turn around, the other ghost he had encountered before revealed itself.
☁️ "Hanging out with the living? That's so lame of you, they would never understand your sense of humor"
The human and his ghost companion stayed on Wise Nature's sturdy branches, nestling themselves within the thick foliage. They stayed completely still, hardly daring to breathe as the eye-invaded goblin and ghost searched below.
The infected ghost floated aimlessly, its many eyes scanning the area, but Wise Nature's thick canopy provided perfect cover. The goblin, meanwhile, prowled the ground, its steps slow and deliberate.
Time seemed to stretch endlessly as they remained hidden. The human's heart pounded in his chest, the fear of being discovered almost unbearable. But Wise Nature's presence was calming, a silent protector amidst the chaos.
Eventually, the infected goblin and ghost moved on, their search fruitless. The human waited a while longer before daring to speak.
🗣️ "Let's go to the Icy Lake, she may need help."
👻 "Hold on, let me see if there's more eye-invadeds."
The ghost floated up, and saw how the goblin town was completely wasted, which gave him an idea.
👻 "Nothing, but maybe we could find some useful things on the abandoned goblin town"
They started descending Wise Nature, and it gave them its blessing with its branches. They went for the goblin town on the music plains. It was very quiet, but the awkward silence got interrupted by the ghost.
👻 "Now you owe me an explanation. Why can you talk with trees?"
🗣️ "You mean Wise Nature? He's a sentient tree, but only shows himself to those he considers worthy"
👻 "And I thought you we're asocial"
🗣️ "Shut up"
They entered the town. It was desolate, not a single soul could be seen. They picked up some fruits and vegetables lying on the ground. That day's meal had potential for a lot of nurturing. Finally, they found a pot for cooking.
🗣️ "Help me carry the pot" he said as he placed the fruits and vegetables on said pot. The ghost then possessed the pot and followed the human.
🗣️ "Do you think only one got infected? It seems like an overreaction to leave their entire town for a single eye-invaded. That fucking vampire was right, His influence is getting stronger"
👻 "Who's influence? I died 10 years ago, and only recently started seeing eye-invasors"
🗣️ "Well, I don't know the full story, but I heard the eye-invasors were created by a ... thing? Named 'The Black Crocodile'. We should go back and warn her of what happened here"
A faint rain started to fall, as they made their way back.
