It was afternoon, the sun was starting to set. Now that he had finished setting up the new base, he got out to get dinner.
He heard a squirrel squeaking nearby, and shot it with his slingshot, but it was too fast, and he missed; this annoyed him, but since it only was the first try, it didn't got over his mind.
He saw a few birds flying by, and also shot them, but missed yet again. He decided to pick up a small rock, bigger than his usual pebbles, to use with the slingshot. He started walking nearby, and scavenged some berries from a nearby bush, but scratched his arm while at it. Quite a jinx he was having that day. At last, he used the small rock and shot another bird, and lucky him, it was quite big. He went for a river nearby, thinking of catching some fish, but then he saw the werewolf he had healed during the blood moon.

She was transformed this time, but she recognized him, and tried to act the least threatening she could, without transforming to her human form; you can never be too safe out in nature.
He didn't recognize her, as he had only seen her with her human form, and was skeptical.
🐺 "Don't be shy, I won't hurt you"
He stayed silent. He had had some episodes of werewolves treating him as dinner, and didn't want any other.
🐺 "I know you won't trust me that much, but I'm the girl you healed yesterday. I appreciate it, I could've died if you didn't heal me"
🗣️ "... Were you?"
🐺 "Trust me, I won't hurt you; here, have a fish if you want"
She threw him a fish she had alredy catched across the river, and he picked it up and saved it on his pouch.
The human thought to himself. It could be advantageous to not be on his own anymore, but he didn't want to join a clan, as most are consisting of the same over-natural type, and would likely try to morph him into one, if not eat him at any time.
🐺 "Do you have a clan?"
🗣️ "No, and I'm not thinking of joining one"
🐺 "That's okay, I also prefer to be on my own, but I guess you alredy saw where that landed me yesterday. I'm reconsidering my decision, but most hierarchies are dumb"
The human saw this as his opportunity. His strength can't compare to that of a werewolf, and neither could his sense of smell. It was the best strategy he could do.

🗣️ "Well, what about we make a clan? I'm sure there's things you can do that I can't, and things I can do that you can't, we could make a good team"
She thought about it for a second. Just like the human, she knew being with someone else could be far more advantageous than being on her own, and his resourcefulness when curing her could be of use.
🐺 "Alright then, lead the way"
Suddenly, a third voice spoke
👻 "Now you two should kiss and get married"

They both looked around. No one was to be seen.
Then they realized who could be saying things in a jokey way.
🗣️ "Materialize yourself, coward"
🐺 "Hey, don't be rude. What you say ghosty, wanna join the five-minute-old clan?"
👻 "Five minute? More like three. I saw the whole thing"
The human whispered
🗣️ "What are you doing, ghosts never cooperate with living creatures; it'll just possess our food supplies or alert others of where we're at"
🐺 "Give him a chance, possessing stuff could be really useful for us as well" She whispered back
👻 "Why are we whispering" The ghost whispered
The human and the werewolf looked at each other. It may have been the first time ever a ghost's joke was actually funny. They started laughing.
🗣️ "Ok, fine, maybe a touch of humor wouldn't hurt the clan"

They started heading out back to the bloodflower tree.

🐺 "The bloodflower tree? Where would you even find a base near the vampires' food source"
🗣️ "We should be fine, the last place they would try looking for a human is near their tree"
He went around the bloodflower tree, to where the entrance to the cave was, and went in. They both followed. She figured she was too big to fit, so she tranformed to her human form and entered.
🐺 "This is your base? Didn't you live in the Healbloom Field"
👻 "Did you make this bed 5 minutes ago like the clan?"
🗣️ "Well yes actually, It was my first time hunting with this new base, and well, I did use to live in the Healbloom Field, but my hiding was spotted, so I moved here"
🐺 "How did you know about this cave here? The entrance looked like wet dirt instead of a hole"

He thought about Wise Nature, but he remembered how he had met them very recently.
🗣️ "I have some tricks up my sleeve"
🐺 "Well i dont think we can fit here, so may I make some room"
🗣️ "Go ahead"
She transformed into werewolf form and started digging against a wall.
This made the human shiver for a second, as he remembered previous werewolf encounters. He breathed in and out, calming himself.
At last, she stopped digging, and went back to human form. There was now enough room for an extra 'bed'.
However, the new space wasn't well dug, and some parts started to slowly crumble. He noticed it immediately and quickly grabbed his vine rope from his pouch. He lashed it around the werewolf's arm and pulled her in. Just as he finished, the new 'room' crumbled entirely, but luckily, the bed the human had made remained unharmed. She decided to shape the crumbled dirt into a bed, using her hands to mold the earth.
At last, they set up a campfire and cooked the fish and the bird they caught, as well as the berries. The human picked up a megacure from his pouch and ate it, curing his leg and arm's scratches. The effects of the megacure also stunned him, so he went for his bed and fell in it.
The night started to fall, and so the werewolf and ghost decided to sleep as well.
