"We should probably head to dinner before they think we got kidnapped or something." Tracy whispered
"Ya I guess." Alex walked towards the door.
"You coming?" Tracy walked over and hooked her arm around his. Once they were in the dining room Kallee came to greet them.
"There you are you lazy bums!" She hollered.
"Were all trying to get to know each other. Come on!" She grabbed Tracy's arm and pulled her away from Alex.
"Go have fun!" She pushed her over to Ethan.
"Hey." She said automatically. He grinned from ear to ear.
"You look amazing to night. I feel under dressed compared to you." Tracy's ears flushed red. She didn't say anything in her mind those compliments only should come from Alex.
"So why are you so happy to night!" He asked his amber eyes searching hers.
"I guess I'm just having an amazing night!" She exclaimed, thinking of Alex. Ethan nodded. Too late she realized she had made a mistake in saying that, Ethan might think that she had been referring to the fact that talking to him made her feel amazing. He was still staring at her grinning from ear to ear. He stomach knotted, she liked Ethan as a friend, he was a good guy. She didn't exactly want to break it to him that Alex had just stolen her heart.

After dinner was served and eaten, everyone headed to their rooms. Tracy had one of the best sleeps she'd ever had. When she opened her eyes she spotted a pile of clothes and a note.
Prepare for the truth it read. Tracy wasn't sure she was ready for the truth. It scared her, was her entire world just a lie? The truth was a powerful thing, it changed people, drove them insane. She slid out of bed anyways and got changed. She put her hair into a messy bun and trotted into the dining room. After eating a scrumptious breakfast Kallee broke them into two group. Tracy was with Jake and Ethan. Kallee lead them to a room and sat them down.
"What you're about to hear may or may not surprise you." She started, "As you know you all have somethings in common. You all have supernatural abilities, missing parents and if you haven't noticed small circular scars on the sides of your necks." They all looked around at each other, it was true. "Yet you are all completely different, even you're similarities, Take the five of you for example, Tracy can control people, Alex can make you see things that aren't real, and Ethan can make people forget things. You all think you are spatial, don't get me wrong you are, but not in the way you think." She looked at everyone sharply, "it is common here to have supernatural abilities, everyone had one of some sort."
"What do you mean by had?" Tracy interrupted.
"Someone's actually paying attention!" Kallee shook her head " You guys know of the thing you call the needle dream? Well here we call it the wings of darkness." She looked around the room darkly, "the storm of birds you saw earlier, that was all the inhabitants of this town. There is an evil in this world no bigger than us yet he controls everything. He took our people and injected them with some sort of virus, Within an hour after taking it you will have completely transformed into a bird. There abilities were wiped from them stolen. They all live here, including your parents." Everyone gasped. Their parents were here. They had lead them here
"We tried to make an antidote to find out that for them to change back one person must die. The most powerful and evil sorcerer in this world. You however were special. you survived the shot, we want to know why. really only you can find out. They have files about you at the lab but I can't go get them, you have to. You have a choice of course, but really what is the right thing to be?"
"why can't you go?" Asked Jake. Kallee gave him a sad smile,
"I can't because of my power. It links me to these grounds, If I leave I'll get the disease. When everyone started getting it one of our most powerful members gave me the gift to never dream, since that's how they found us. They tracked us through our dreams. When she lost her power my gift turned into a curse, tying me to this land. I can't levee."
Everyone soaked in the news, then Kallee showed them out so that she could tell the others. Tracy knew she would have to go to the lab. She just didn't know if she was ready.
