Tasha

That was the hardest part of my life. Watching the love of my life walk away. I tried not to cry. But a few tears came out. I rushed into the house and called my parents to let them know what happened.

Telling them that someone falsely accused him. Of something he didn't do.

I need to know who was behind this.

They are going to pick me up and drive me to the police station. Since the three of us are lawyers in different fields. "Hey Tasha, we are going to stay behind and clean up," Rachel says to me. Hugging me from them aside.

"Okay... we can't seem to catch a break from all this drama that's being thrown at us. I don't need this stress right now." After I said that. Rachel rubs my back in slow motion.

"I know, sweetie, but don't think about it. No matter how hard it gets to you. Keep your chin up and let them know you don't give a shit. Think positive thoughts." I chuckle at her wisdom of words to me.

"Thanks, Rachel. I didn't even eat."

"We'll let me get you a plate to go." She rushed into the kitchen.

Waiting for my parents to arrive.

This has to be one of Summer's friends that I don't know of. I'm sure she set him up. I know she wants C.J to herself.

Man, she's picking a fight.

"Here, I just put it in a container for you and a water bottle." She passes me a small black bag.

"Thanks, Rach." I can see my parents pull up in the driveway.

"Don't worry, I'll be here when you get home. Keep your place nice and warm." We both chuckled at her joke.

"Okay, tell everybody thanks for coming tonight. We will redo a barbecue. I'll text when I know what's going on." I open the front door.

"Okay. I'll be waiting here for you." Rachel said to me.

I left her in charge of my house.

As I sat in the back of my parent's vehicle. It was silent for a few minutes.

"Tasha, we will sort this out mess. Whoever accused him of a false charge. Will be charged a big fine for their actions." My dad said to me.

We rode in silence, driving to the police station. So many thoughts in mind. So many what-ifs?

"So Tasha, let me and your mom do the talking." My dad said to me. Parking his vehicle in the parking lot.

"Okay." I nodded my head for his response.

The three of us got out and began walking towards the entrance. My dad holds the door for us and I said "Thank you."

My dad rushed to walk ahead of us.

"What kind do for you, sir." The police officer said.

"I'm looking for an individual who came earlier this evening and his name, Corey Williamson."

"Just let me make a phone call to the department. Just take a seat and I'll let you know what they say. What's your name sir?"

"It's Tim Ford, sir." My dad said to the police officer. The officer nodded his head at my dad.

My dad came to sit with us. I can't wait to see him. It feels like forever or something. My stomach was growling like crazy. My baby was kicking like crazy, probably telling me to feed him or her. So, while we were waiting, I ate the container of food that Rachel sent with me.

I ate every crumb that was in that container. Now I'm full and satisfied. Hopefully, this baby stays full for a while because I'm waiting until I go home to eat.

Hopefully, this doesn't take long.

****

We've been sitting here for an hour now. I'm being impatient. I'm ready to go open that door and bring him out myself. I'm going to wait another fifteen minutes for what's happening.

"Just be patient, Tasha. Don't stress because it's not good for the baby." My mom tried to comfort me. She was rubbing my shoulder.

"I'm trying, but it's hard not to. He's in there getting questioned while we are here waiting."

"I want to know who accused him of false charges and I'm going to make them pay." I continue saying to my mom.

"Don't...your dad and I will get to the bottom of this and make sure whoever did this to him. Will be charged and in jail for their actions." My mom says to me.

"I bet you it's one of Summer's friends who's in this. See, she wants C.J to herself and not me. She wants me out of the picture." Getting my point out to her.

"I had a feeling that it was to her. But we don't know at this point." She said to me.

****

She had a good point, but we both had a feeling it was one of her friends.

I was going to give myself one more minute before I go through those doors and get C.J. Tapping my foot against the floor. Countdown in seconds. As I was about to get up.

The door opens, and a man pops his head, looking around.

"Are you Tim Ford?" The man asking for my dad.

"Yes, that's me, sir." My dad stands up.

"Please come with me." The man asks him. He was opening the door for my dad.

"I promise to get him out of this mess, Tasha.... I'll see you ladies soon. Wish me luck." My dad left without looking back.

So now we just wait.

C.J

After hours and hours of questioning me. They think that I'm guilty. But I'm telling them the truth. They won't listen to a word I say.

I'm innocent. Not guilty.

Someone excused me of doing sexual harassment and rape. I want to find out who this person is.

They handcuffed my wrist on the table. There are two detectives on the other side of the table.

"You're giving another silent treatment again, Corey." Detective David said to me. He looked around his early 40s about 5'11. He had his sleeves rolled up to his elbows. Has been drinking at least three cups of coffee.

They offered me some coffee, but I refused to. They may think I'll give in.

This is the first time in my life that the police have taken into custody me. I'm not liking one bit of it. Trying to stay calm as possible.

"Whenever I say that, I wasn't involved with this crime. You two are putting words in my mouth, making sure that I'll crack. I-" I was cut off by a knock on the door.

The second detective Mason, who was closed to the door, for up and opened it.

Detective Mason was in his early 30s was about 6'3. He also had his sleeves rolled up too.

"Detective Mason, we have a Mr. Ford here to represent Corey Williamson, sir." A voice on the other side of the door.

Hearing the last name Ford brought relief to my ears. Hopefully, he can sort this shit out.

"Bring him in." Detective Mason said. Moving aside so Tim can pass through.

"Please sit beside him, Mr. Ford." He came walking and sitting beside me.

"I'm so happy to see you right now," I whispered to him. He nodded his head.

"I need all the evidence, pictures, statements about this case. Detectives." Tim stared at them.

"We will be back." Detective David said, and they both left.

"I'm fucking stressed right now."

"Don't worry. I'll get to the bottom of this."

"How's Tasha dealing with all this?" I changed the subject before I get hot-headed.

"Oh, she's fine. She's in the waiting room, waiting for you, and has never left. Don't her mom is with her." When he said that. I was amazed by this lucky woman I'm with. Waiting for me.

It makes me love her even more.

"She should go home and rest. Not healthy for our baby." She rests and not be here right now.

"I don't think that's going to happen, son. She loves you and can't have you by her side." He patted my shoulder.

"Hopefully we get out of here soon." He can tell that it irritated me being here.

"Me too, but once I look at all the evidence in front of me. Talk to this person and get the truth."

The door opened, and the detectives came in with folders in their hands. They placed them in front of Tim. He opened it. We were both reading the statements of a lady.

Once I saw the name. It was one of Summer's friends that I met twice.

Reading it made my blood boil.

That bitch had to mess up everything while she's in jail.

When we saw the pictures. I was disgusted by what I saw. Whoever did this to this poor girl. Should get punished.

"Did you get any samples from Corey and match the samples from the rape?" He asks one detective.

"We've sent them an hour ago. I'll be back with the results." Detective David left the room to retrieve the paper.

Hopefully, the paper tells them I'm not that person.

Tim was focussing on one piece of paper in front of him.

"Corey, look at me." He asks me. And I did. He studied my face. I frown at him.

"In this statement here. She put she scratched Corey here in the face. To me. It doesn't look like there are any scratches on his face. The date of this statement happened two days ago. You detectives need to your statements here." Tim told him.

"Give me that statement, please." He asks Tim to give him the paper.

Detective Mason read closely. Making him frown. Looking at my face.

Detective David came into the room with the paper in his hand. He was quiet as he sat down.

"The rape sample is negative, Mr. Williamson." Detective David said to me.

"Here, read this statement." Detective Mason passed him the paper in his hands. Once he read it and looked at me.

"It seems like someone has falsely accused here you, Mr. Williamson. Let me gather all the paperwork and talk to the chief. Will be right back." Detective David said to us and soon both of them left the room.

"Holy shit. That made my day." Finally, I go as a free man tonight.

"They do not do here yet us."

"What do you mean by that?" I was hoping he was kidding about that.

"It's up to the chief to decide this case. He's the one who has to look carefully at each detail on all the evidence. But don't worry, he's a friend of mine."

20 minutes later.

The door opened to the detectives and the chief.

"Hey, Tim. How's it going?" Well, the chief was happy to see him.

"It's going alright and yourself?" Tim asks him.

"It's going good... Now, Corey Williamson, I'm releasing you with no charges against you. This woman who falsely accused you will be charged. Do you have questions?" The chief said to me.

"Yes, I want a restraining order for myself and my girlfriend Tasha, sir?" I ask him

"That could be arranged. I'll get some papers for you to sign before you leave. Detectives, you can take the cuffs off of him now." He ordered them.

"I'm chief Phil Jack." He continued. The chief left the room.

Detective Mason took grab keys from his pocket and unlocked the cuffs.

I quickly grab each wrist and started rubbing them. Releasing the aches and the soreness.

"Thanks," I said to detective Mason.

"No problem. Have a good night gentleman." He closed the door behind him.

"You too," Tim and I said at the same time.

I closed my eyes for a bit. Thinking about what's on my mind.

The chief came in with papers in his hands.

"I just need your signature for you and Tasha." He says to me.

"Okay," I replied.

Signing each line where the red arrows are. After signing the papers and handing them back to him, including the pen.

"Have a good night, gentleman. I'll talk to you tomorrow, Tim." He eyed Tim with a smirk. I let them talk while I listened.

"Will do Phil. You still owe me a drink."

"Yeah, I do. Well, call me tomorrow."

Once he left. I got up from my seat and stretched. My ass is very sore, especially sitting on a metal chair.

One of the police officers showed us the way out of here. I can't wait to see Tasha. To hold her and kiss her.

He buzzed the door opened. I went out first and I looked to my right to see if she there but she wasn't. Then I felt a big hug from Tasha. Snuggling her face in my chest. I hugged her back and kiss her head.

"Now let's go home. What did they say?" Tasha says to me.

"I'm innocent. The lady that falsely accused me is a friend of Summers. So, she is being charged and I'll tell you the rest tomorrow. I'm beat right now." I said to her.

"Okay, that's fine C.J."

"Tim, I just want to say thank you for helping me out in there."

"No problem, C.J. I had to do it since your son-in-law. I do anything for family." He came up to me and gave me a side hug.

"Come on, let's get going." He spoke.

We followed him to his car. Driving home seems so long. Can't wait to lie in bed and sleep it off. After saying our goodbyes to her parents.

I am home now.
