In the staffroom

Dear diary. It's been four days since my poor little bellsprout went missing, and I'm starting to lose it a tiny bit. I'm not paranoid. Though I did tackle a third year eating a salad. In my defence, the leaves looked very similar to Corvus.
I've been sleeping a little bit at least. Probably because Healer Beadlescombe keeps spiking my coffee with sleeping potion. But all hope is not lost. I have a lead on the last whereabouts of plant pot. I heard a rumour that Professor Petalthorn decorated a plant named Plantdrew with some ribbons. If this is Corvus, then I can stop the search and finally get my friend back. If not, Corvus will have a little plant friend to meet when I do actually find them. This is a win-win situation.

Dear diary.
The plant was Corvus! But I don't know where they are. Petalthorn said she went out to get more ribbons and when she came back, Corvus was gone. So I'm back to square one. Maybe a visit to Professor Wiggin would help. He's always got a fun attitude. That might cheer me up.

Dear diary.
How goddamn hard is it to keep a plant in one place? It can't even move by itself for fricks sake! And who thinks taking a plant on a broom flight is a good idea?

Professor Thornstail closed his diary and sighed, gazing out of the staffroom window. "When will my dear bellsprout return from the war?" He muttered to himself.

Meanwhile

Professor Grey placed the plant down on his desk, using a quick cleaning spell to get the plant's pot shining like new.

Professor Sketch happened to be walking by when she noticed Professor Grey and the plant.

"Hey Professor! Nice plant. Perfect, actually. Would you mind if I used it as a model for a painting?" Sketch asked.

"Of course dear, I do love your paintings. Please be careful with the poor thing though. It has had quite to traumatic ordeal recently."

Sketch picked up the plant and nodded. "I'll be careful. I promise. Thanks Professor!"
And with that, Sketch carried Plant Corvus to her classroom to model for her painting.

After carefully positioning the plant just right Sketch went to work. Soon she was in her creative zone, paint flying everywhere as the blank canvas before her became a masterpiece of leafy beauty.

A fact one must know about Professor Sketch is that she has an awfully bad habit of getting paint everywhere when she paints. And today was no exception. The shiny green leaves of Plant Corvus were soon freckled with vibrant flecks of every colour of paint.

Once Sketch was finished, she picked up the painting with a proud look on her face. A quick drying spell later and the painting was complete.

"Perfect! Yes! You wait right here, my planty muse. I'll be right back. I'm hanging this one in the great hall."

And with that, Sketch left the room.

Professor Oak was on a mid afternoon stroll when he happened to walk by Sketch's classroom and saw the plant sitting on the table of the classroom.
"Merlin's beard, is that a rare speckled tortoiseroot? It must be! Only that species has such vibrant flecks on it's leaves! The perfect plant for pygmy puffs to help with their digestion! Oh, this is wonderful! Just wonderful!" He clapped his hands and picked up the plant, carrying it outside to the small pygmy puff enclosure he had built on the castle grounds. He grinned at his small fluffy children, holding Plant Corvus above the enclosure. "Tonight, my floofy little darlings, you feast like kings!"
