I let nature take its course where Mags is a concern. I didn't want to push her, but I didn't want to lose her. We had a breakthrough, but it didn't mean we were in the free and clear yet. We still had a way to go.

I wanted to do something special for her but didn't want her to feel pressure, so I enlisted Nix and Kat to help me. We did a double date to help ease the anxiety for her.

We also kept it casual and simple. I just wanted Mags to feel comfortable. My brothers and the girls helped.

I knocked on her door, and she looked up. I walked in, carrying a vase of red roses.

"Thought you would enjoy some flowers," I mentioned as she smiled as she got up.

"Nash, they are beautiful!" She exclaimed.

"Roses are your favorite flower." I smiled.

"Thank you," she said as she placed a small kiss on my lips.

"So, tonight, Nix, Kat, and I will take you to dinner then out dancing. I thought it would be easier on you," I said to her.

She smiled. "Thank you. You're so sweet."

"I try," I smile back. Mags hugged me, and I wrapped my arms around her, "Don't worry, we will get there. It's just going to take time."

"I know," she said, nodding. I hung out with her in her room. She was telling me some things, and I listened to her as she became animated in parts. She had changed so much.

With the memory loss also came a personality change. It was different, but I had become used to it. So, I could decipher Mags' moods differently.

"Do you two plan to be a couple of lazy asses, or should we just leave your asses here?" Nix asked at the door, with Kat grinning.

I looked at Mags. "See what I got to put up with?" She giggled.

I got off the bed and held out my hand as she took it, climbing off of the bed. We all grabbed our coats and left for our double date.

We made our way to the diner then went inside. We took a seat and ordered. We got to talk about Valentine's Day a few years ago, and Mags laughed. I had to admit it was funny.

"I can't believe Nolan did that," she replied while shaking her head.

"Believe it, I swear that kid thinks with one head, and it's not the one on his shoulders," Nixon grumbled.

I looked at Mags. She looked like she was in deep thought.

"What?" I asked her.

"It's nice," she answered.

We all looked at her.

"To hear stories of things, it involved me with you. It doesn't feel like I'm intruding on someone else's memory." She sighed. I knew she felt like she missed out.

"Sweetie, it's okay," Kat reassured her.

"I know it's just hard. Things I experience I have to hear about it because I can't remember it. It's as if having to live someone else's memory," she sighed even more.

"Maggie, we get it." She looked at Nix. "It's like you're on the outside looking in, but trust us, you aren't."

"How so?"

"Because it's the same way with all of us. Having to watch the confusion on your face, knowing it's hard on you. It's hard on us too. You are a big part of our lives, and we hate that you have to go through this," he explained.

She looked at me. I knew she was feeling some emotion at that moment.

"Mags, we don't want you to feel bad. We know it's hard, and we're just trying to help."

I waited. Around this time, an outburst would happen, and we would end up in a fight. Please let history not repeat itself.

She sighed. "I know, and you guys have been great. I'm sorry about being frustrated."

Okay, no outburst. That was different.

"Don't be sorry. It's okay," I reassured Mags.

"Okay, so, you told me about things that happened while I was living at your house, and I know you guys, your brothers, and the girls. But who are the other guys that live with us? I'm still confused about them."

I looked at Nix, and he looked at me. I didn't have the heart to tell her about Jaime and Caleb and what transpired between the four of us, but Nix did.

"Well, Jace and Jaime are Uncle Jonas's kids. You met them at Thanksgiving. Words got exchanged, and Nash punched Jaime in the nose. The demon spawn, aka the triplets, Carson, Cody, and Caleb came for a weekend, and Caleb said something inappropriate about you, then you punched him in the nose. A lot of punches got thrown," he said calmly.

I looked at Nix and asked, "Really?"

"Dude, I'm not about to lie to the girl. It's not my way," he responded with a shrug.

She sat there, furrowing her brows. "I have a lot to understand about your family."

"Yeah, it's crazy," I commented, giving Nix a look.

"Crazy? Sounds like a nuthouse," she answered.

Nix and I couldn't help but snicker. She didn't know what was to come.

"What's so funny?"

"Baby girl, trust me, you do not want to know."

She looked at Nix and Kat, who just shrugged.

After we ate, we went to a local place to go dancing. That was where things got interesting. With Mags trying to navigate her way with us, she also had to deal with unwelcome advances from other guys.

We sat around a table and ordered drinks while she got up to use the bathroom. When she got done, she made her way back to the table only to get stop by some guy.

"Hey, hottie," he said, standing in her way.

"Do I know you?" She asked him.

"No, but I would like to know you," he smirked.

"I don't think my boyfriend would like that."

"Well, maybe it's time you find a new boyfriend," he said, walking towards her as she backed away. When he got her pinned, she kneed him right in the junk, causing him to drop. His friends saw and helped him out with chaotic results.

She dodges the other guys, climbing onto tables and jumping from table to table.

"Is that Maggie?" Nixon asked.

My eyes widened. "What the hell?"

"Aw, come on! I'm on freaking probation!"

"Then call the twins," I yelled as I made my way towards her. Nix called the twins, and I tried to get to Mags.

"Nash!" she yelled.

"Mags!"

She leaped to another table. A guy caught her, and I charged him. I threw a left hook causing him to release her, and she climbed under a table. As I fought another guy, a different guy chased after her, until Kat jumped on him.

"Well, this is bullshit," Nix yelled as he held onto his phone, trying to keep it from being knocked out of his hand.

I threw a guy onto a table as I went after a different guy trying to get Mags. Soon the twins showed up. Thank God. One confused girl, a girl fighting a guy, and me trying to defend myself was getting out of hand.

Nix leaned against the bar, sipping his soft drink, watching a brawl break out.

"It's about time you two showed up," I yelled as I decked a guy.

"Sorry, we were busy," Nathan yelled, hitting another guy as the girls took on some other girls.

"Get off of me," yelled Noah as he dropped a guy.

Mags popped her head up only to have a bottle come flying at her. She ducked then popped it up again.

We all were in the middle of a brawl until reinforcements showed up in the form of the cousins.

"What are you doing here?" I asked Jace.

"The demon twins called us," he said, pointing at the twins.

As we went to town, we heard sirens, oh shit.

"Time to go," Nix said, putting his drink down and grabbing Mags. On his way out, he gathered each of us as we all slipped out of the back while we took off running away from the bar.

"Well, at least Maggie has a memory now," Nix retorted, causing us to roll our eyes. We needed to get back to the house and fast.

Once we got back, we all ran inside and slammed the door behind us.

I had to catch my breath. I didn't have plans on running this evening, let alone getting into a fight.

I looked at Mags, and she looked at me. "I do not allow you to go to the bathroom alone in public ever again."

She looked at me, and a smile curled upon her lips as we all started laughing. I had to admit this Valentine's Day didn't turn out the way I expected it to, but I was glad it did. Nix was right. Now Mags had a memory.

I pulled her to me, placing my hands on her face as I pressed my lips into hers, giving her one hell of a kiss. God, I love kissing her.
