I look at the small purple stone in my hand once more before putting it in a box and onto a shelf in the weapons room; I leave out of the room and enter mission command to find Donald rushing around the room, looking for something.

Douglas, Chase, and Justin watched him move around from behind the cyberdesk. "Uh, Big D? What's the problem?" I speak up as they looked over at me.

"It's missing. I think someone stole it." Donald vaguely answered, continuing to search around the lab.

"Stole what, Donnie?" Douglas asked the question on all of our minds as I join the three at the cyberdesk and add, "Yeah, what's so important?"

Donald stopped and approached the cyberdesk that we was at and pressed a button on the console, pulling up a holographic screen to show what he was working on. "I was working on a device to help Des with her earth ability, to where it won't hurt her every time she uses that power."

"My earth ability doesn't hurt-" I start to object as everyone cut me off, disagreeing, "We know it breaks your bones." I look up at the ceiling and back at the console, waiting for Donald to continue.

"Anyway, I had hid the special gauntlets in my secret vault in mission command, but it wasn't there. And no, I didn't misplace it. They're not anywhere to be found, so they had to have been stolen." Donald finished.

"Okay, so just make another one. They were just designed to help the vibrations of Des's ability, right?" Chase commented.

"You don't get why it's so troublesome that they're missing. These gauntlets weren't finish, so the wearer can actually hurt Des because it'll block out her powers, bionic included." Donald answered.

We all exchange a wary look as they looked over at me, waiting for what I was going to say to that set of news. "Then we find out who stole your tech and for what purpose exactly. It wouldn't be the first time your inventions put me in danger." I reply with a shrug.

"They do not, uh, not all of them-" Donald started.

"They do- most of the time. Do we need to start listing them for you?" I cut him off.

"For example, there was the neural scrambler, erased years of her memory." Chase pointed out.

"Okay, to be fair, that was all of Leo's doing." Donald defended himself, his hands on his hips. I purse my lips out slightly and then nodded in agreement. "Let's get to finding out who this thief was and how they managed to get inside of the penthouse and into mission command and into my secret vault."

"I thought only we knew how to get into mission command-" Justin started as I point out, my arms folded across my chest, "Well, Reese knew how to get into mission command."

"Speaking of Reese, what's the story between you two? You never really told us." Chase commented as they looked at me, waiting for me to tell that story.

I let out a sigh and nodded for them to follow me. "It'll be easier to show you instead of just tell you." I opened the rock wall and walked down the path as the four guys followed me into an empty room with a single cyberdesk in the center of the room.

"Welcome to the simulation room. I've been working on it to help train the team on missions. Once you're in the Framework, it will feel really real, like you're actually there... But this isn't some ordinary training, you'll be going inside of my mind and see the memories of Reese and I and what happened, sort of like going back in time... But you won't be able to change anything."

"We're going inside of your mind?" Chase and Douglas repeated as I nod, picking up a small box off of the desk and opening it, starting to put a small, black disc right below their right ears and then pulled out four pairs of headsets. Douglas looked at me in question and asked, "What are these for? And are you sure you want us inside of your mind?"

"The discs will connect you guys to my watch, which is linked to my brain, and the high-tech headsets will allow you to virtually hear and see the scenes. All I will have to do is turn it on and just think of the scene and it will happen... As for you guys going inside of my mind, I trust you." I answer, walking behind the cyberdesk and then placed my hands on top of the console, looking at them with a small smile. "You want the story? You're about to live through it."

"Is it safe?" Donald asked.

"Safer than your inventions." I smirk as he rolled his eyes. I turn my high-tech watch on and link it to my chip, feeling a slight tingly feeling briefly. "You guys ready?" They nod as I close my eyes and use my telepathy ability, thinking of the memory. The scene then began to play around them.

*Third Person's POV*

The four guys exchanged a look just as their surroundings turned all white and then they were moving at light speed with a swirl of different colors moving around them in a circle clockwise and then counterclockwise. They landed on the ground outside of an elementary school; Destiny was no longer beside them.

"Des?" Donald called out, looking around them. Go inside of the school and you'll find me, but this is my memory, so I'm just a kid in here. They heard a voice that sounded like Destiny tell them.

Justin had already started walking to the doors as the rest of them followed after him and entered inside. The scene moved to a classroom of third graders as they noticed a brown haired girl with brown eyes getting in trouble by her teacher. "Destiny, it's still disrespectful-" The woman scolded the child.

"Then maybe you should teach correctly, so that I won't correct you in front of the other kids, Ms. Blanchard." Eight year old Destiny sarcastically replied, her small arms folded across her chest as she looked up at her teacher pointedly.

The teacher sighed and shook her head in disapproval, muttering, "You're hopeless. Why can't you be more like your older brother?" And with that said, she walked back to her desk. The child stood there, trying not to let what she had said affect her.

The four guys then heard a commotion in the hallway as did little Destiny as she quickly snuck out of the classroom, going right through the guys. She noticed a girl with glasses her age crying while she was being yelled at by two boys also around the two girls' ages. One of the boys shoved the girl hard as she fell onto the floor as eight year old Destiny rushed to her side and stood in between the boys and the crying girl, saying, "Hey! Leave her alone!"

"Or what?" One of the boys replied, stepping close to her as Destiny didn't stand down and commented, "Or this." She punched him in the nose hard, sneaking in a little bit of super strength, as he stumbled backwards and now held his nose in his hands.

"Come on, Roman, let's go." The other boy commented, pulling his brother away from the two girls and then they walked away with Roman sending one last glare to the eight year old Destiny.

Destiny held her hand out to the girl as she hesitantly took it and was pulled up off of the floor. "You okay?" She asked the still crying girl who wiped her cheeks of the tears and nodded. "I'm Destiny, but most people calls me Des. What about you?"

"Um, Reese." She quietly answered with one more sniffle, "And, uh, thanks for... standing up for me. No one's really done that for me, not really. And I have twelve other siblings." She sadly chuckled.

"So, they were your brothers?" I question as she nodded. "I'm sorry. That must suck to have to deal with that kind of torment all the time. At least, I've got a good brother... Um, if you want, you can come home with me- That way, you won't have to go home to them."

"Really? You- You don't mind? What about your parents?" Eight year old Reese commented.

"They won't mind. Come on." Destiny said with a smile as the two of them began to walk towards the exit side by side, "How come I've never seen you around here before?"

"Because I'm in the other third grade class, and plus, I usually just go straight to my home." Reese replied, looking down at the ground as they continued to walk and kicked her foot at a pebble, "Believe it or not, Riker and Roman are the nice ones out of my ten other siblings."

"Well, you've got a best friend now, and if you need me to kick their butts again, I will." Destiny grinned, joking of course, maybe.

Reese grinned also and nodded. "Best friends. I like that." The two of them laughed as she stopped Destiny and held out her hand, pinkie extended. "Promise. Let's promise that we'll always be there for one another and always be best friends."

Destiny glanced at her pinkie and then linked it with her own pinkie with a smile. "I promise." The two of them assured one another.

They let go and continued to walk down the sidewalk as the four guys followed after them but stopped when Destiny's voice spoke through their minds, That is how Reese and I became friends. Now, fast forward to eight years... For eight years, we were really close, and then one day, it fell down.

The scene changed then as the four of them found themselves standing in a girl's bedroom; They looked around as Justin spoke up, "We're in Des's room at our home." He looked around, missing his family more now but sadly smiled a little.

Sixteen year old Destiny walked into the room beside sixteen year old Reese, both of them laughing. But then, Reese fell silent and looked down at the floor. "What's wrong, Reese?" Destiny asked in concern.

"My father... He's not the same since he lost his powers. He's changed and no longer a superhero, a villain now." Reese hesitantly began to explain, sitting on the edge of the bionic-super's bed and continued to look down. "We're supposed to follow him and his plan. I don't know what his plan is, yet, however... But I- I think it's bad."

"You don't have to be a bad person, Reese, just because your father now is. You can choose to continue to be good." Destiny replied, "I'm not a superhero because my family is superheroes. I chose to be a hero because, well, I don't really have a reason why. I just chose to be good, to save people. The point is, he can't force you to be a villain with him, you have that choice and only you."

Reese looked up at her, a new glint of hope shown in her brown eyes underneath her glasses. She smiled a little and murmured, "Maybe you're right. Will you help me choose to be good?"

"You are a good person- and one of my best friends." Destiny commented, "Come on, let's go watch a movie or something."

Reese nodded in agreement and stood by her as the two of them walked out of the room and went downstairs.

The four guys followed them downstairs and then noticed Mary Moore cooking and cleaning in the kitchen, Grant Moore was watching T.V on the couch with Memory-Justin, and Emily and Blake was sitting on the floor, playing some card games.

Justin looked at his family and took a deep breath but narrowed his eyebrows. "How do I not remember any of this?" He spoke up, hoping for an answer from his sister. It's getting to that. Destiny and Reese sat on the floor, also in front of the television and watched whatever her brother and dad was currently watching.

Then someone banged on the front door as Reese jumped in fear as Mary and Grant exchanged a look between one another; The door busted open, it hitting the wall beside it, as Reese's father stepped into the house, a scowl present on his face. "Reese, come. You're needed at home."

Reese and Destiny stood up and exchanged a wary look between one another. "She's not going anywhere. She's staying here." Destiny spoke up, stepping forward to him.

"Riker, Roman!" Reese's father simply replied as two boys around the teen's age stepped into the house also. "Get your sister. We're going home." Rodissius looked at Destiny and scoffed at her defensive stance, "And if your little superhero family gets in our way, just know you're heavily outnumbered by all of my children who's waiting outside."

"Reese, tell him no. It's your choice. You don't have to go with them." Destiny murmured to the girl beside her.

"Yes, I do- for two reasons. They're my family, and if I don't go with them, they'll hurt you and your family. I'm sorry." Reese replied, starting to move over to her father and then turned to her best friend, "I'm so sorry, Des. Sorry I let you down."

With that said, Reese, her father, and brothers left out of the Moore house as Destiny closed her eyes and dropped her head, her fists slightly clenched. She was the one who let Reese down. And fast forward to two weeks after that. The four guys exchanged a look as the scene changed to them now standing near a cliff at nighttime.

They looked around the area and then noticed Destiny walking up to Reese who was standing next to her father, Rodissius. "I'm keeping our promise that we had made when we were eight. I'm not gonna give up on you, Reese. You're a good person- I know you are." She started towards Reece after they faced one another.

"You're wrong about me. I'm not good. And deep down, you know that, too." Reese commented, now moving into a defensive stance.

Destiny noticed this action and shook her head, saying, "I won't fight you. I believe in you, Reese. You can still choose the right decision."

"I already made my choice." Reese muttered, her hands glowing and then shot Destiny back as she crashed onto the ground painfully, letting out a groan. Reese moved over to her old friend and now stood above her. "Stop trying to save me. I'm no hero. You can't fix me because I'm not broken... If you know what's good for yourself, you'll stay away from me and my family."

"I meant what I said..." Destiny groaned out, rising back onto her feet with a grunt or two, "I'm not giving up on you, Reese."

Reese yelled out and shifted into a ball of laser or fire and hit Destiny as she fell on the ground close to the edge of the cliff. She turned back into her normal form and walked over to the bionic-super and knelt beside her and muttered, "Let me go, you're wasting your time." She punched her in the face then as Destiny groaned out and spit up blood.

"I don't give up on my friends or family. You're one of them." Destiny murmured, "I- I thought I was one of yours, too... But I'm glad I'm not." She let out another pained groan and continued, "You- You do this and I'll never forgive you. This is your last chance to choose good, to- to choose a better way. Like I said before, it's your choice."

Rodissius spoke up finally, directing it towards his daughter, "Finish her already."

Reese looked from him to Destiny and replied to the hurt girl, "And I already told you..." She shot Destiny with her power once more and blasted her off of the cliff as she fell down. Reese watched the girl continue to fall and into the water and finished her statement, "I made my choice."

The four guys had slightly agape mouths as they continue to watch Rodissius and Reese leave the cliff; They ran over to the edge of the cliff and looked down, searching for the brunette. A hooded person appeared and moved through the murky water and found her, dragging her to the surface. The hooded person's hands glowed red and hovered over the unconscious girl, healing her.

Then everything went white as Destiny pulled them out of the Framework- and her mind- as they looked over at her.

"That hooded person, I later came to realize, was my birth mom... I was still pretty hurt from what Reese had done to me but not as much." I finish explaining in person, "I went home, wiped everyone's memory of Reese, her brothers, and Rodissius because I didn't want to be reminded of that, of the fact that the two of us was so close and then weren't."

"We'll find her, all of them, and lock them away somehow." Donald assured me, his hand now on my shoulder.

"Yeah, yeah, I know." I reply, clearing my throat, "Don't we have a thief to track down and locate?" I leave out of the room and move back into mission command, going back to typing on the cyberdesk.

***

"Finally!" I exclaimed, catching everyone's attentions, "I was able to retrieve the deleted security footage of mission command from last night." I click on the video and play it on the screen. It showed a blur moving to a cyberdesk, the blur was a girl with brown hair that was a bit past her shoulders, but she was wearing a black leather mission suit and a black mask that only covered the bottom half of her face, her brown eyes were the only thing revealed.

The thief pressed a button on the console as a panel on the floor opened up and a small vault moved upwards above the floor; She approached the vault and typed in the passcode as the vault door opened. The girl reached her hand in and grabbed the tech and super speeded out of mission command and the penthouse.

The video then ended, leaving everyone speechless. "So this thief we're dealing with has powers and has access to Mr. Davenport's codes, which only Des really knows other than himself." Chase spoke up.

"Not to mention, she knows her way around the penthouse and mission command." Douglas added, pointing out.

"Okay, before anyone says it, I am not the thief. It couldn't of been me." I reply, defending myself.

"But could it have been Zelda? I mean, she did do a lot of things that you didn't even remember doing." Donald started, bringing up my commando app.

"No. No, it's not- Zelda's under lock and key. I basically disabled her. She's not revealing herself anytime, hopefully, ever." I assured them just as the screen on the console of the cyberdesk lit up. "It's a mission alert."

"A masked girl with powers is wreaking havoc in Centurium City. The news is saying that she's calling out Quake and the Elite Force." Justin added, looking at the alert and then at me.

"Well, there's the confirmation that it wasn't me or Zelda stealing your tech, Big D." I comment towards Donald who had just sent the mission alert to the rest of the team who immediately rushed out of the hyperlift and over to us.

"Suit up, we've got a mission." Chase told Skylar, Kaz, Oliver, Bree, Justin, and myself. I smirk and look at my brother as he glanced at me, both of us activating our watches as blue and black tornadoes surrounded the two of us and stopped, revealing us in our mission suits already.

"When are we gonna get watches like that?" Kaz questioned Donald and Douglas who held their hands up.

"They haven't exactly cracked that kind of science yet." I remark cheekily, winking over at the two grown men and propped my arm on Douglas's shoulder.

"The rest of you, hurry up and suit up." Donald commented as the rest of the team rushed off to change in their suits. He looked over at me just as I had straightened back up, removing my arm off of his brother's shoulder. "Des, we are glad that you're here with us."

I smiled, my bottom lip hiding under my top lip. "Me too. You guys are my family.
