go by. Looking out at the street, he spotted a yellow blur chasing after a red one. Slade grinned and nodded his head.

Slade: Good luck, kid.

At that moment, everyone got a call over their comm systems.

Jokester: Alright, gang, if everything with the speedy boys is situated, it's time we blow this joint, in a bit more of a literal manner.

Everyone heard the signal and decided to make their escape. They ran out of the lab and quickly tried to get out. Jokester started the countdown sequence and made his escape as well.

The Flash raced down the streets in his metal suit. Everything was a blur as he approached high speeds. The Reverse Flash was close behind, catching up on him. He glared at his counterpart. He couldn't let him escape. He wouldn't allow it.

Y/N turned his head and looked back at the other speedster. The Reverse Flash brought out his hand to grab him. He paused. He spotted his other self's eyes under the glass mask. He knew that look.

Y/N: Y/N, please...

Y/N-27 looked at the Flash. He thought for a moment. Then, after a quick but hard moment of contemplation, he made his decision. He slowed down, allowing the Flash to keep running. Just before he could be overcome by the Flash, the Reverse Flashed flicked his wrist. A red bolt of lightning flew out and hit the metal suit. It gave Y/N the charge he needed to escape from this Earth.

The Flash continued running. Y/N looked straight ahead and concentrated. He focused on home, on his friends, on his team, on his Caitlin. Suddenly, the world started to spin. A bright light consumed the Flash. He then found himself falling, drifting through a vortex that opened up in front of him.

In a flash of light, Y/N was gone. The Reverse Flash stopped. He pulled down his cowl and looked out over the horizon. He smiled. A shockwave lit up the horizon and soon started to spread across the sky. In the Freedom Fighters' hideout, the Riddler stared at the screen in front of him. They were picking up strong signals. The barrier was hardening.

Riddler: He did it.

Y/N-27 looked out with a smile. Suddenly, he felt a hand grab him and pull him back. Johnny Quick appeared before him. On his chest he wore a tachyon device. The fast Syndicate member looked angry, furious.

Johnny: You blistering, bothering, whining, no-good excuse for a speedster! You were not supposed to let him escape! He was not suppose to leave here!

Johnny held Y/N-27 by the neck. Y/N choked, barely able to breath. Johnny looked at him, his anger turning into a devilish smile.

Johnny: I guess you've outlived your usefulness. You are not the fastest man alive. That is my crown to now rightfully claim.

Johnny brought up his hand. It started to vibrate back and forth. Y/N-27 looked at it with wide eyes. Johnny then plunged his hand into Y/N-27's chest. His heart was pierced and his skin turned pale.

Back in the city, the team of Freedom Fighters ran out of the lab. They made it out just in time. A massive explosion rocked the facility. The metal walls crumbled and were decimated in a fireball. A large mushroom cloud enveloped the area.

Johnny heard the explosion in the distance. His smile changed into another sneer. Y/N-27 heard the explosion too. He looked up at the sky. Another wave of energy soared overhead. The barrier between worlds was like cement, and this one was close to hardening. Johnny looked down at Y/N-27. The Reverse Flash used his final breath to chuckle and give Quick one final word.

Y/N-27: You better run, Johnny. Run.

Johnny growled. He tossed Y/N-27 down. The Reverse Flash's lifeless body fell to the dirt covered ground and stayed there. Johnny turned around and ran off. He opened up another breach and ran back to Earth-62612 before the walls could close around this world.

Ultraman grabbed Superman by the cape and tossed him to the ground. Clark slammed into the stone floor with a loud thud. He was tired and lying in his chest.

Ultraman then spotted the gun that had been left behind. He flew over to it and picked it up with intrigue. Opening up the barrel, he spotted the kryptonite explosive. Ultraman grinned with a sneer. He grabbed the shell and walked over to Superman.

Clark brought up his head. Ultraman loomed over him. The brutal villain took the shell he held onto and crushed it like a can. Green kryptonite filled the air. Superman choked and coughed, immediately feeling weak. Ultraman, on the other hand, felt stronger than ever.

Ultraman grabbed Clark by the collar. He picked him up and began to beat the ever living shit out of him. Clark groaned and moaned. Blood trickled from his nose. His ribs cracked. His legs fell weak.

Superwoman groaned and fought back against her restraints. John tried to focus on holding her back, using his strong willpower. However, he wasn't strong enough. Superwoman smashed through the chains keeping her pinned down. She zoomed towards John and grabbed him by the neck.

Superwoman: Your bloodshed is not needed, at least before our conquest. But I do love to see how easy you mortals break.

She began to tighten her grip. John gagged and tried to pull back against her. Superwoman sneered with a grin, like she was taking pleasure in what she was doing.

Just then, a blue bolt of energy hit the woman. She looked down and spotted Cyborg firing at here. Wonder Woman was beside him. She grabbed her sword and tossed it at the black suited woman. Superwoman was forced to release John to dodge both the sword and energy bolts.

John fell on the ground. Alfred made his way over to him and helped pick him up. Nearby, a grapple fired out of the hole in the ground Ultraman had made. Batman soared out of it. He clumsily landed in his feet and took a knee. His suit was battered, parts of it cracked and destroyed. Bruce was beyond exhausted at this point.

The group all looked around at one another. Suddenly, a blast of blue light lit up nearby. A vortex opened up with the Flash rocketing out of it. Y/N couldn't stop in time and slammed into the rock wall in front of him.

Diana looked over at the metal suited speedster. She grabbed her dropped sword and rushed over to him, unsure of who it was. His suit was foreign to her. She knelt down and brought up her sword to his neck.

Y/N: Whoa! Whoa! Friendly! I'm a friendly! I'm your Y/N!

The faceplates on Y/N's suit fell back. Diana realized it was him. She pulled back her sword and nodded with exhaustion. A tiny smile of relief appeared on the corner of her mouth.

Y/N looked around. He was in the middle of a war zone. Everyone was fighting some member of the Crime Syndicate. Superman was being pummeled by Ultraman. Half of the cave was destroyed. John made his way over to Diana and Y/N with the aid of Alfred.

John: We need to get out of here.

Y/N nodded in agreement. Bruce looked back at his team. He turned his head to look back at Superman being pounded into the ground. After a moment of thinking, he turned to the others.

Bruce: Y/N, get them out of here! Alfred, take them to the secure point!

Alfred: But, sir-

Bruce: Do it!

Alfred looked at his master, his son figure. Bruce turned to look back at Ultraman. Alfred nodded. He knew what he was thinking. Y/N stood up on wobbly feet. He was tired from running, but he knew he was the only one fast enough to get his friends out of here quickly while covering a long distance.

Y/N took John from Alfred. In his other arm he grabbed Diana. The Flash rushed out of the mines, covering a lot of ground quickly. Bruce kept his attention on Ultraman. He began making his way to him, moving with a slight limp.

Superman was stuck on the ground. Beat after beat he was kept pinned down. With each blow, he could feel even more of his power draining. Ultraman seemed mad, finally eager to get rid of his equal. He brought his arm back again, ready to deliver another blow. That was when he felt an armored hand grabbed him by the shoulder.

Bruce: I said, leave him alone!

Batman transferred all the power in his suit to the arm. He grabbed Ultraman and, with immense strength, tossed him to the side. Ultraman fell through the air and crashed into the rock work behind him.

As Batman took on the duel, Cyborg was still focused on Superwoman. He was suddenly grabbed by the Flash and carried away. Ultraman got up. He scowled at Batman. Bruce prepared himself. He got down in a fighting pose, ready to take on Ultraman.

Ultraman charged. Alfred turned to look. He spotted his master get punched hard and flung through the air. As he fell back, Alfred's mind drifted back to the young boy who had fallen off the swing set when he was little. The young boy who grew up too quickly and with few friends. The young boy he helped to raise and celebrate birthdays with.

Bruce crashed down into the ground. He groaned in pain. However, he stood back up. He stood up because he had to. Alfred looked at him again, thinking about the young boy who grew into a young man who was now an old man doing the same song and dance. All to do what he believed was right. But now it wasn't for any city or grand attempt to show off. It was for a teammate, an equal.

Seeing Bruce get back up, Alfred grinned. Y/N ran in next to him. He grabbed Alfred by the shoulder and looked on.

Alfred: We must leave.

Y/N: What about Bruce?

Alfred: We have to leave.

Y/N: Not without Bruce and Clark!

Alfred: If you value their lives and what they stand for, you will do as I say and leave!

Y/N looked at the old butler. He was trying to press down his own emotions. He could see even Alfred did not like the idea, but he knew it was right. With a heavy heart, Y/N grabbed Alfred and ran off with him, joining up with the others far away from the conflict at hand.

Ultraman gave a strong right hook to the side of Bruce's head. The armored mask shattered. Blood trickled from a cut on Bruce's head and lip. Ultraman grabbed him by the collar and tossed Bruce over to where Superman was lying.

Bruce landed and slid on his back. He groaned and tried to stand back up. He was not even halfway up on one leg when Ultraman rushed in and shoved him down. Bruce was now lying down next to Clark. Both men were exhausted and beaten bloody.

Ultraman glared at the two men who had given him so much trouble. His eyes turned red. He was about to exterminate them once and for all. That was until a female hand came to rest gently on his shoulder. Superwoman approached her husband and spoke to him sweetly.

Superwoman: Darling, please. Killing them like this would be too easy. We need to make a pleasure out of this.

Ultraman: They're too much trouble, an insolence that must be dealt with.

Superwoman: But not like this. Let us take them back, make them suffer. What better way than to let them witness the end of their world? Prisoners of war.

Ultraman glared back at his wife. Superwoman shrunk back. He looked angry.

Ultraman: Who is the supreme leader?

Superwoman put her head down. She replied in a meek, timid voice.

Superwoman: You are.

Ultraman: Excuse me?

She replied louder.

Superwoman: You are.

Ultraman: That's what I thought. You do not get to make the decisions. I do! You are my wife. You are subordinate to me and my whim. All I need from you is your approval and a face to make passion to. That is all. Do I make myself clear?

Superwoman: Yes, dear.

Ultraman: Good. Now, what is it you suggest we do with them again?

Superwoman: We could...

Ultraman: Yes?

While Ultraman was distracted by his wife's face, Superwoman slightly lowered her golden lasso. It brushed against Ultraman, but it was just enough to influence him to suggestions.

Superwoman: I mean, for your amusement, darling, why don't we take them back as prisoners? Every ruler needs prisoners to make examples of. With this, we may crush any chance of an uprising in this Earth as well.

Ultraman: By the time we're done, there won't be time for an uprising. Still, I like your suggestion.

Ultraman thought for a moment. He looked down at the fallen Bat and man of steel. He had to admit, it was a neat idea, taking in these two as trophies of conquest. Earth's two strongest heroes fallen at the feet of Ultraman. A symbol of the fall of the old ways and the rise of the new empire from its ashes. Ultraman grinned at the idea.

Ultraman: We're taking them with us.
