Rose helped me get an appointment the next day and confirm what I already knew was there. She had said nothing at first on the phone when I called and began explaining everything. Her reply simply was, "we'll figure this out." We were both in shock honestly.

The real question was, how was I going to tell Hayden? Obviously he was ecstatic at the thought of having kids, but was this too soon? Would people assume we married out of wedlock? There was no way this was a false alarm anymore, not after thinking through everything the next day and inspecting my stomach. It wasn't super tight but there was a firmness I thought that was beginning to show.

"It'll take a minute or so for the results," she reminded me as the doctor came in and handed me a cup.

"I know... I just don't know how to tell Hayden. Or how he'll react."

"You and I both know he'll react much better than when Sean found out. Even if you are, you're going to make an amazing mother Dasha."

I nodded and went into the restroom as I filled the cup and left it in there for her to collect while trying to keep my hands from trembling. This was too much to comprehend.

Dr. G, as that's what she preferred to be called, smiled and went in to grab the output. "Just give me a minute or two to test it and then I'll give you a list on medications and foods."

"I'll make sure to pick up what I need. Thank you." Rose and I went and took a seat back in the exam room while I bobbed my legs up and down nervously. "What am I going to do about my wedding dress?"

"They can alter it, you may not be very big at four or five months you know? We'll call the place once we get the results to determine what to do."

"We'll be raising a kid shortly after being married and me barely being done with college." I felt nauseous, everything was just starting to hit and I didn't know what was going to happen.

"Hey," Rose put her arm around me as we sat there, "if anyone knows what you're going through its me. Just get through these next few days, focus on work and whatever else needs to be done for the wedding. We'll take it from there."

"This is why you're my best friend."

She smiled while Dr. G walked back in with some papers. "Congratulations Miss Watkins, you are indeed pregnant."

"I'm going to be a mom," I placed my hands on my abdomen and felt my heart pound too loud to make out any other words that were being said. How was I going to tell everyone?

We got back into her car and drove to my place. Thankfully Hayden was already at work by the time Rose had came. He hadn't suspected me being pregnant just yet, though I had forced myself to eat something this morning. It wouldn't be long before it probably came back up.

"Call me if you need anything," Rose hugged me again and I swore I could see tears in her eyes. There was no telling how painful this was for her.

"I will," I promised her and waited for her to drive away before going inside. "Alright squirt, how are we going to tell your daddy?" I rubbed my abdomen soothingly while I grabbed some orange juice from the fridge.

I still had a few days to figure that out. But I could always call my mom before I officially told him... no it would probably be better to wait on that as well.

Bandit and Jasper were laying beside each other when I walked into the living room and plopped down on the couch. Neither moved as they just watched me contemplate my next move.

"Lazy," I teased them as Jasper yawned and Bandit just huffed.

A text came in through my phone from Hayden, 'Hope you're feeling better today love. What sounds good tonight for dinner?'

'Maybe... Subway? I'm craving a sandwich honestly.' I replied and got up to grab my car keys. Might as well go pick up the prenatal vitamins and whatever sounded appetizing to eat in the meantime.

Thankfully I could get some work done from home so that I didn't have to call in sick. Thank God for technology that allows flexibility.

Another text came through from Rose as I giggled, 'what do you think the gender is?'

'Too early to tell.' I replied and absentmindedly rubbed my abdomen. Damn I was going to have to keep from doing that until I told people. When did women even begin to tell that they had a feeling what the gender was?

"Well squirt, you already have two furry siblings, Bandit and Jasper. I'm sure they'll love you." I reassured the bump and just closed my eyes at how insane I sounded. The baby already had a nickname.

By the time Hayden got home I had been able to accomplish some things for work and cleaned the kitchen. Thankfully my appetite was cooperating with me and I was able to get some food down beforehand.

"Hey sweetheart," he came up behind me and kissed my head while his arms wrapped around my abdomen. Did he know?

"How was work?" I leaned back and kissed him at an awkward angle, giggling.

"Good, I'm telling you these students are really bright. But the department is amazing here." His hands turned me around so he could run his fingers down my back.

"I'm glad that you're enjoying your job." My lips pressed against his and giggled, seeing he was in a mood. "Love, can it wait? I don't want to jinx me feeling nauseous again, that wouldn't end too well."

"Oh, sure babe." He kissed my forehead and went to grab the leashes for the dogs. "I'll take the kiddos outside real quick."

My face turned red while I began to unpack the food, "okay!"

It was inevitable that I would have to tell him tonight, but how? Didn't couples usually tell people in a romantic way? And I wanted more time to digest this so I didn't look as panicked as I felt.

Remembering the papers were on the coffee table, I turned and grabbed them so I could keep them with me and not out in the open. There had to be a way to tell him romantically.

I grabbed my phone and went to call Rose, she was the only one who could help me come up with something at the last minute.

"Yes?" She sounded busy on the other line but I didn't bother asking.

"How do I tell him? I don't just want to be blunt about it."

"Hmm... one sec," I could hear her getting up and moving to another room I would assume she had been with Sean. "What if you ran out real quick to buy something? Like not a specific color but like something that says soon to be dad or whatever?"

"That could work, I just... I honestly am at a loss for how to tell him."

"You don't have to tell him today, you could sleep on it and do it tomorrow."

"True... okay, I'll call you later. Sorry for interrupting your time."

"Don't worry about it Dash," she laughed and hung up while I put the papers in a folder on my desk. There were so many different ways to tell him...

The door sounded as Hayden came back in with the dogs and I took a deep breath. Get through dinner first and deal with the rest of it later.

"You look like you're feeling better," Hayden smiled as we sat down to eat.

"Yeah, I feel not as gross." While thinking in my head, 'darling if only you knew.'

Hayden bent down and fed the dogs a few scraps of chicken while I giggled and pretended to be annoyed, "baby they're going to be spoiled."

"I think they're allowed to be sometimes," he winked as I felt my stomach stir with excitement. Maybe we would be able to have some fun tonight.

"Are we still wanting to go home and visit during Thanksgiving? I didn't know if we just wanted to make our own tradition with Rose and Sean since they're up here. Or just wait until next year to make our own traditions once we're married."

"I say we go home still, unless something comes up to where we can't you know?" Internally I was thinking of how to tell my family I was pregnant by then, depending upon how early I started showing.

"That's fine, I'm definitely excited to begin our own traditions."

"Me too, it'll be interesting to see what we incorporate from both families and such."

"Especially once we have kids." He got up to throw away our plates while I sipped my water. Why was the irony so serious tonight?

"Actually... I think I'm good tonight, if," I trailed as Hayden turned his head to look at me.

"If you've been nauseous darling we can wait until tomorrow. But I'm good with taking a shower with you."

"Or a bath," I smiled and followed him into the bathroom as he went to draw the water and I began stripping.

His eyes were on me the whole time while I set my clothes on the counter and turned to see him pulling his shirt over his head.

"What?" I blushed, it never got old seeing the way he looked at me.

"Uh..." he scratched his head, "I don't know how to say it without it being weird."

"What do you mean?" I looked down to see if I was bleeding or something.

"Get in the water and I'll show you." He stepped out of his shorts and into the water while holding his hand out for me to take.

I took his hand and stepped in to sit in between his legs while feeling the hot water begin to relax my body.

"What did you want to show me?" I rested my hands on my abdomen, knowing it wouldn't give it away in this aspect.

"Here," he moved his legs and pulled mine apart to rest his chin on my shoulder. "Watch," his hands were on my shoulders before sliding down to my breasts and gripping them in his grip. "They seem fuller, and I know you aren't on your period."

"You're way too observant." I gasped and felt his hands tug my nipples before sliding down to my sides and around my abdomen. He did know.

"I mean, when your fiance looks this amazing I should be paying attention shouldn't I?"

"Mhm," I couldn't think of anything else to say. "Hey love?"

"Yes?"

"What would you want to name our kids? Like has there been any names you've really thought about since we've been together?"

"I'm still thinking about names," he kissed my hair. "There's a lot that I've thought of but I always wanted to hear your thoughts first."

I blushed, "I haven't gotten that far yet. The names usually change."

Once the water got cold, we both stepped out and I slipped on a looser fitting nightgown that held my breasts better than it had months ago. Hayden was already laying in bed stretching and caught my gaze as I crawled onto the bed and straddled his lap.

"Holy hell," he brought me down and kissed me. "You look amazing."

"Hayden," I kissed him and placed my hands on his chest to steady myself before resituating myself. "I need to tell you something."

Hayden watched my eyes as I felt tears instantly prick and grabbed his hands before placing them on my abdomen. "I went with Rose today to confirm something I had found out the other day. I know I've been sick recently but something was different this time."

"You're pregnant?" He asked quietly, as if scared to even form the question.

I nodded as his eyes changed to surprised and he looked at me again, "you're really pregnant Dash?"

"Yes," I wiped my eyes as he pulled me closer to him, while still keeping one hand on my stomach.

"We're going to be parents." He kissed me and chuckled while glancing back down at my body. "I knew something was different, you were practically glowing earlier."

"You're not scared?"

"Not at all baby, I'm delighted to know that we actually... I've wanted to be a father for so long," he kissed me again and wrapped his arms around me. "The wedding?"

"I'll only be five months at the most."

"We have time then."

"We're going to be parents." I laughed while taking in his expression, I had honestly never seen him this happy.

Hayden moved me onto the bed and leaned over me before kissing me again and moving down slowly until he was near my belly and kissed it. "Have you called it anything?"

"Just squirt," my heart was constricting as he leaned in and rested his ear ontop.

"Hey squirt... this is your daddy." He was quiet for a moment, "Dash, I mean, mommy and I can't wait to meet you when you get here."

He moved back up to pull me against him as I felt the tears begin to fall and felt his fingers catch them.

"I honestly don't know if I could have loved you anymore than I already did until now."

I remained speechless as he fell asleep moments later with my hands on top of his while we cradled our baby. He was right, I didn't think I could have loved him anymore than I already did until that very moment.

**I probably could've made it more romantic but I've wanted to update this for so long! If you couldn't tell I have baby fever like nobody's business and it seems like everyone is getting pregnant. Name suggestions are gladly welcomed! I haven't gotten that far yet, and don't worry this story isn't over yet! The wedding still has to happen as well as the birth

And let's not forget about Patrick... ;) **
