It had been over a week they lived under the same roof. His dad also returned from punjab and she gelled up with him pretty well. Karan quietly made tea for her every morning in her take away mug. She didn't know about it, she thought his mom was making it.

Teju: Aunty you are making me addicted to your chai and food.

Mom: I will take credit for the food but not for the chai.

Teju; what who makes it then?

Mom: Karan

Teju; ohh but when I leave early then also he made chai for me?

Mom; he asked me a night before when do you need to leave.

Teju couldn't help to ask

Teju: but why?

Mom: I thought you know it by now. Do you know or you didn't know?

She realized what she meant and she tried to change the topic which his mom understood and didn't persuade any longer.

Teju; aunty how's your leg?

Mom: bit better

One day he saw his mom cooking, he got little upset with her and asked her as she wasn't feeling too well

Karan: where is the cook? Why are you making food in such pain.

Mom: he had some family emergency so he went to his village for a couple of days so I was cooking.

Karan: mom you should have told me. You are getting better but you shouldn't exert yourself. Leave the dinner, I will order something

Mom: ok baba I won't cook

He ordered food and made his parents eat but he didn't eat as he wanted to eat with teju. He waited for her and texted her

Karan: hi, when are you coming home?

Teju: reaching in 10 min. All okay?

Karan: yep I was wondering if you had dinner?

Teju: nope why?

Karan: I ordered food

She got excited

Teju: oh kya mangaya hai?

Karan: Chinese

Teju: yummy reaching soon

She entered his home and found him already in the kitchen to heat up the food. She quickly went to her room to freshen up. He was setting the table when she came back.

Karan: hi

Teju: hi

Karan: come let's eat

Teju: you also didn't eat ?

Karan: no I was about to when I messaged you.

Teju: so why didn't you?

Karan: I thought to eat with you

Teju: hmm ok

They ate together with her talking and him listening to her about her day.

Karan: do you want tea? I feel like having one

Teju: why not I love your tea

Karan: great

He went to the kitchen and she followed him.

Karan : May I ask you one thing?

Teju: yeah sure

Karan: why did you left from Goa all of sudden? You still feel....

She cuts him in between

Teju: I realized one thing about you

Karan: what?

Teju: you overthink a lot. I had shoot next morning so I left early that's it.

Karan: maybe I was but you did that on the couple of occasions. Remember beach and Chandigarh?

Teju: let's not talk about that

Karan: it means you were lying to me on the beach or I still overthink.

She didn't want to discuss it further so she changed the topic

Teju: is the tea ready?

He looked at her for a brief moment and sighed

Karan: yeah it's ready. sometimes it's so difficult to get through you

Teju: I know I am not an easy person

He had a shoot and when he came back home and realized someone in the kitchen. He went towards the the kitchen thinking it's his mother

Karan: how many times I have told you not to....

Teju: not to?

Karan:I thought my mom is cooking. But why are you cooking?

Teju: why not?

Karan: I mean you must be tired from your shoot.

Teju: no I am not tired. Now any problem?

Karan: no , do you need any help

Teju:  now that the question you should've asked "chop these onions"

Karan: sure, let me go change then I will help you

Teju: ok

He left from there and came back quickly. He started chopping

Karan: I am going to Dubai for a project

Teju; when ?

Karan: tomorrow

Teju: for how long?

Karan: a week, maybe little more then a week.

Teju: hmmm ok

Karan: please take care of my parents

Teju: I will don't worry

Karan: after I come back from dubai, promotion for our mv will begin

Teju: I will talk to the team and schedule my time

Karan: ok

Teju: I have arranged a cook here, she used to help mom. We can trust her.

Karan: oh thank god. You are a savior. I couldn't find someone I can trust.

Teju: that I am. If you have any problem contact tejasswi prakash

Karan: problem is telling me if I have problem

Teju: am I problem for you?

Karan: big time , only problem in my life

Teju: what ? Are you serious?

Karan: joking baba

Teju: better now call uncle , aunty for the dinner.

Karan: ok

He called them. They sat on the table for the meal. They loved the food she made.

Next morning when she woke up and got to know  that he already left. But he didn't forgot to make tea for her. The wall she had created around her was falling day by day. He made a way to her heart by his sweet gesture. She already missing him. She started her day with thinking about him but later the day became more and more difficult for her to spend. She couldn't understand why she was missing him so much, it's not like they spent whole day together. When she entered his home later in the evening she knew he wasn't home but her eyes helplessly looking for him. After 2.-3 days of contemplation when she couldn't sleep in her room she decided to go to his room in the night. His room smells like him. It's a well organized room unlike hers. She opened his closet and draw his tshirt And wore it. There were few pictures on his side table. She wanted to see more pictures of him so She stalked his insta account but by mistakenly she double tapped a pic. She unlike the picture but he received a notification. In few minutes she received a follow notification by Karan. She followed him back.

After a week of him being away. She feels like calling him everyday but couldn't. Today she couldn't control herself and called him but he couldn't pickup her call as he was busy with a shot this made her feel disappointed. Half an hour later when he saw her missed call , he called back immediately. She pick up

Teju: hello

Karan: hi, did you call ?

Teju: I did , actually your mom was asking when are gonna coming back?

Karan: mom was asking You?

Teju: I mean she wasn't actually asking she was wondering

Karan: why would she wonder if she know exactly when I am coming back. If you wanna ask then it's a different story altogether.

Teju: tell your mom, she wasn't sure that's why she was wondering

She tried to cover up but all in vain

Karan: I am coming in 2 days tejasswi and my mom knew it very well.

He knew she would be awkward so he didn't stretch the topic. He was just happy that she called him

Karan: Do you want something from here?

Teju: no I don't want anything

Karan: nothing ??

Teju: nothing at all. Ok bye Karan I need to leave

Karan: bye tejasswi

After the call he was thinking that if she missed him or what. He was supposed to leave after 2 days but after her call he couldn't wait any longer to see her so next day he requested if they could take his shots before as he needed to reach back home.When the director agreed he left after his shot. It's midnight when he reached his home. It was really late so he went straight to his room and surprised to see her in his room sleeping wearing his shirt.  He sat at a little distance and adoring her. After a while he got up to place his watch on the side not breaking his gaze. The tiniest noise he made had disturbed her sleep and she found him looking at her. For a second she didn't realize where she was but reality hits hard. She ran from there before he could say anything to her. All she heard were him chuckling.
