Arthur or Grey?

Inside this extravagant room full of mostly black walls and red decoration I'm now standing in front of a mirror admiring and checking out my newly found appearance.

Looking at the surface of the mirror, there stood a figure. Pearly white hair, red eyes, pale white skin, that figure is me. Arthur or Grey, whatever between those two would be good.

(Basically ascender grey appearance but with Sylvia's hair color and red eyes.)

I still can't believe that I'm even alive right now and adding the fact that I'm on the other continent. Alacrya, the name of this continent ruled by the Vritras who is banished from the land of the gods Epheotus.

“How?"

Words won't even try to escape my mouth even though I tried to speak.

“Why does this man know about this?
Is my reincarnation now a common knowledge to everyone? Did someone spread it? Who is it? The Eraliths? My former family? The director? I don't know."

“Some of it makes sense. It would be safe to let everyone know that there is a psychopath king lurking around the continent and can possibly wipe a whole country for revenge."

Knowing that whatever I think won't give me answers I stared at the man. Is he even a human? If yes then how would that explain the horns? That demon that killed me has a pair too.

"Other species? something like the elves or the dwarves? But I don't know any information about humans with horns in dicathen. Is he from another land then, the other continent? if it's that then why is he here in Dicathen?
Am I even in Dicathen? Why did he save me? Does he know about the demon who attacked me? "

“Finally you woke up, there's a lot of things you need to catch up as you have been asleep for a year and a half"

The man spoke and again it surprised me. His chilling calm voice that comes with authority.

“There's no doubt about it, this guy is a ruler just like me."

Ignoring that information for now I focused my thoughts on the things he just said.

“Only for a year and a half? I thought I had been floating there much longer.”

I stared at the man to get much more information about what's really happening.

Seeing me stare at him the man smirked.

“It looks to like that you want me to explain. Well I'm the one responsible for why you've been in a coma so i think I owe you an explanation."

The man said as he walked backwards and grabbed a chair then sitting on it right leg crossed over his left, his right arm resting on the chair's arm supporting his face that's resting on his hands. He sat on the chair like he owns this place.

“First of all I should introduce myself. I am Agrona Vritra, Leader of the Vritras and the High Sovereign of this continent, Alacrya."

My eyes widened in shock, Alacrya so that's the name of this continent. But the information he gave me still lacks, as I opened my mouth to speak but he raised his left hand that's been resting on his lap this whole time to signal me to stop.

“Let me continue, I am from the species called Basilisks. I have been the ruler of Alacrya for hundreds of years. I am also the husband of Sylvia Indrath and the father of Sylvie Indrath."

I was taking the information slowly and calmly but blood left my face when he mentioned Grandma Sylvia.

“He is Sylvia's husband and the father of Sylvie? But how does that explain everything? The pieces don't fit perfectly. And the one who killed Sylvia is also a horned monster like him. adding the fact that he said, there's a high chance that my hypothesis is correct. Is he the one who ordered to kill Sylvia?"

“I apologize for all the misunderstanding I probably did to you. But let me explain first. The one who you saw back in the cave while you're with Sylvia is my right hand man Cadell."

After hearing those words I released all my pressure glaring at Agrona. But he just sat there lazily while smirking and continued to talk.

“It seems that you're thinking that I'm the one who ordered Sylvia's death but that's a misunderstanding. Sylvia is still alive and well."

He said, giving me a sweet smile.

“That's impossible! I felt Sylvia's mana signature disappeared after she teleported me!"

Those words escaped my mouth, my mind started getting cloudy again and I started to hyper ventilate but it stopped. Looking to Agrona, I can see him raising his arm, his open palm facing me. His face is stone cold not showing any emotion"

“I used a spell to clear your mind, now I'll be explaining everything from the beginning so that you'll finally understand."

Then he started explaining to me everything. The continents of the gods Epheotus, the Asuras, species of Asuras and the nine clans. The tyranny of Kezess Indrath, massacre of the Djinns to Agrona's exile, and his revenge.

“ Now that we're now there, It would be easier for you to understand the things I'll be saying moving forward. Now that Kezess knew what I'm doing, he tried to kill me by sending a bunch of Asuras here but failed resulting to the pact that both continents can't lay their hands on Dicathen. In the midst of that Sylvia came here secretly to convince me to surrender, and that's when I explained everything to her. Of course she doesn't believe me at first but the evidence speaks for itself. And that's when I discovered that Sylvia is pregnant with my child."

I digested the information perfectly but still, impatient because I wanna hear what happened to Sylvia.

“I was happy, indeed I'm so happy that I even considered surrendering to Kezess but one day Sylvia is gone. I searched every inch of Alacrya but nothing wherr found. I even ordered a search in the relictombs because of my worries but stopped it after a week as I realized that Asuras can't enter the relictombs. So the last place where she could've went to is Dicathen where she found you. I couldn't send a whole searching team because of the pact so I only sent a few men to search for her."

The pieces finally connected perfectly but there's still one missing.

“So your so called right hand man Cadell didn't kill Sylvia?"

Agrona only nodded to this.

“Explain." I said in a cold voice looking at him for further explanation.

“Sylvia... The reason she escaped or ran away from me is that she's been cursed. "

“And do you think I'll just believe that? "

The two of us glaring to each other face to face only a few meters away from each other. Then Agrona closed his eyes and sighed

“sighhh let me finish my explanation first. Sylvia has been cursed by Djinn's who created a spell throughout her body that she will explode a few minutes after she gives birth. I think it is a form of revenge to her because she's the daughter of Kezess but all of that is just a theory and we'll never know unless Sylvia wakes up

“I-is she really alive?" I finally opened my mouth nervous about Sylvia's condition.

“Yes, but she's been in coma for almost 10 years now. When Cadell carried her here she's already on her death bed as Asuras body is made up of mana and no mana is gathering in her body. I tried my best to fix her and did but Sylvia won't be able to use mana anymore. It's similar to a mage with a broken mana core."

Agrona explained, I can feel the sadness and dispair he's in. But now everything connects, I know there's a chance that Agrona is just deceiving me but I'll believe him if I see Granda Sylvia once more.

“I understand, but when can I see Grandma Sylvia again?" I said looking down to the floor

Agrona's face contorted from confusion to a sad smile.

“I see, back in the day, Sylvia really hates being called old by anyone, It seems like she really took a liking on you." He smiled genuinely

“I guess even the tyrant of Alacrya have a soft spot in his heart. "

“You'll be able to visit her in her room, but first you should get dressed. You wouldn't want to walk around the castle bare naked right?"

As he said that my body is now full of embarrassment and I just laughed it off.

“I also wouldn't want that."

He chuckled and left the room.

“I'll call some maids to make you look more presentable and I'll give you a quick tour of my castle  “Taegrin Caelum"

Now in front of Agrona's office I knocked the tyrant's door three times.
The door is made up of black wood that I don't know. It has a lot of gold and red engravings probably following the theme of the castle.

knock knock knock

“Enter."

I heard Agrona's voice inside. Hearing that permission was given I opened the door and entered his office. The office is just a simple office with two sofas and a coffe table in the middle and of course the office table and Agrona's red chair. Same as the other rooms it follows the black, red and few gold theme of this castle.

“Oh hello Grey, it looks like you're ready to go." Agrona answered while sitting on his chair looking up from the document he's currently reading.

“It appears that he's not just a tyrant who commands his servants the whole day."

“Grey let's go just follow me."

I heard Agrona's voice behind me and I instantly looked to that direction and saw him already walking away his face looking back at me. I faced my head towards his office and saw no one there.

“What the hell did just happened? Is it teleportation? But i didn't sense any mana."

“You should hurry up!"

Agrona shouted, he's already walking away his arms up hands signaling me to follow him. I moved my feet and jogged a little catching up to him and now walking beside him. Now that I look at him closer this man is really handsome and tall.

“Is all the Asuras like this? I remembered him telling me that Asuras have their original form and human form and can transform at will. I wonder what does he looks when in his original form? aren't basilisk snakes? So giant snakes with horns? I'll ask him later.

“Uhmm, do you know about the guy who attacked me?"

“Yes, He's Uto he's a Retainer who's the right hand man of Dragoth a Scythe who is of course under my command. Everyone in this continent is under my command. Well except some hard headed crazy Basilisks."

He said the last part with disgruntled voice as he continued to speak.

“I ordered Dragoth to bring you here but it seems like he just ordered his retainer to fetch you and it went quite rough."

"So the one who attacked me Uto got ordered by Dragoth whose supposed to be the one to bring me here. No wonder it got rough he probably just ordered to bring me here that's all"

“When you arrived here, you're barely alive so I need to fix your body with my own ways. Now the result is good and I'm satisfied with it but it came with a few backlash.You're just barely human now, because of Sylvia's will and my spells you're a part dragon part basilisk resulting in change of appearance and enhanced body."

I'm about to ask more but his voice stopped me from speaking.

“We've arrived at Sylvia's dwelling."

I heard Agrona's voice beside me and stopoed walking. We're at the end of the hallway and there's a single door in front of us. It looks nothing different from the other doors I saw in the castle but the room produces some weird energy.

“Hmm, it looks like you can feel the aether inside this room. "

“Aether? Wait! isn't that-"

“Yes, it's the power Kezess wants to control and what the Djinns uses. I'm using an artifact that someone found inside the relictombs to keep Sylvia alive."

“I see" I replied softly with a low voice

“There's no need to be guilty about this. It is not your fault, we the Asuras brought it upon ourselves. "

Agrona said and opened the door without any hesitation. Meanwhile I stayed outside.

“Grey it's not your fault, even someone like me couldn't do anything. What else could you do in that situation. "

I swallowed the saliva that has been stuck in my throat this whole time.

“I-I can't do it Agrona. " I said tears forming in the side of my eye. Forcing my looking down head to look up and I saw Agrona with a small smile.

“Don't you want to see your Grandma?" He said with a soft voice and I instinctively took a step inside the room.

I looked inside the room and saw a woman in a hospital bed. The woman has long pure pearly white hair and pale skin. I already know who she is without even asking anyone. I ran towards her and tears just started to fall from my eyes, it started to rain.
All the emotion I bottled up until now broke free.

I heard the door behind me close. Agrona left the room giving me space to reconcile with my Grandma. For minutes I just cried there standing watching over her.

“Grandma Sylvia, I'm sorry I didn't follow what you said back then. This time surely I will live my life to the fullest, live my life with no regrets."

I said and turned around to exit the room. I can't, no I still don't have the courage to face her. But I'll surely be back to visit her again when I'm ready.

Still checking myself on the mirror i noticed I grew a few inches this entire time I'm asleep. I'm now standing at about 5'10 in feet at 14 is amazing. When I'm at Cyrus I was 12 and I'm probably about 5'6 or maybe 5'7 so having an asuran body have it's own advantages.

(All of this is just estimation in my head as there's no official height, Agrona's height is atleast 6'0 no horns added)

I checked my mana core and saw that it's in mid silver.

“Another Asuran advantage huh?"

I felt a little proud advancing 2 stages without doing anything.

Dressing my self up with a simple black trousers and white button ups
I readied myself to meet Agrona again.

“Lord Grey the High Sovereign is calling you."

I heard someone outside my room speak.

“Tell him that I'm on my way. "

I replied and hurriedly fixed my outfit.

I walked until I reach Agrona's office and found that the door is already open so I just entered without any permission.

I saw Agrona sitting in his usual chair with glasses on checking documents and a Woman sitting on the couch.

“Grey you're here, Let me introduce you to Seris. You'll be living under her from now on." Agrona said looking back to his documents

Did I just got thrown out of the Castle?
