maybe san was being dramatic but he felt like he hit rock bottom. he didn't know where to begin with how the night went. he also felt guilty about jiyeon. not necessarily about breaking up with her, but how he did it. he was overwhelmed and jiyeon being there was the last thing he needed.
as angry as he wanted to be at wooyoung for dropping food the second the president walked in, he couldn't be. that was the other thing, wooyoung. there was something weird going on there. san cared about wooyoung, there was no doubt about it. but to what extent? and why?
"san" wooyoung nudged him softly, snapping him out of his thoughts. "huh?" he looked at him and realized the uber wasn't moving anymore. they arrived at wooyoung's house. wooyoung got out of the car and san followed behind him. as they approached the door, san was wondering what he was doing. he barely knows wooyoung and was going to sleep over. he had done it before, but he wasn't conscious at the time.
"are you sure i can stay here?" he asked while wooyoung pulled his key out to unlock the door. "it's kind of too late to ask now" wooyoung mumbled, turning the doorknob. san sighed and walked in behind wooyoung, seating himself on the couch like he had done yesterday.
"do you want anything to drink or eat?" wooyoung offered and san shook his head. he wasn't in the mood. his phone started to ring, looking at the caller id and seeing yunho's name, he pressed decline and put his phone on silent. yunho had called him several times while they were in the uber and he declined every single time.
"you can sleep on my bed. i can also get some clothes out for you" wooyoung said and san looked at him. he was so out of it, he completely forgot about how much of a burden he was being to wooyoung.
"no, it's okay" he said, standing up, "you sleep in your bed, i'll sleep on the couch". wooyoung frowned, "i'm not letting you sleep on the couch. just sleep in my bed". san shook his head vehemently, "i'm already bothering you by staying here. i'll feel bad if you sleep on the couch because of me". wooyoung groaned and disappeared to his room to get san a change of clothes.
san let out a small smile. he liked this back-and-forth thing he and wooyoung seemed to do. he found it funny when wooyoung would get frustrated. "here" wooyoung grumbled and handed san a pajama set, "if your back hurts in the morning, don't complain to me" he tossed a pillow from his bed and a blanked onto the couch.
"let me know if you need anything" wooyoung said before he turned to go back to his room. "wooyoung" san called out his name and wooyoung turned to look at him. "thanks" san said. he was grateful wooyoung didn't question san and let him stay the night. whether or not wooyoung cared about san and his problems, san was still grateful. if it were yunho or seonghwa, san knows they wouldn't leave him alone unless he told them what was going on. with wooyoung, he didn't have to worry about that.
wooyoung blinked and muttered a quick "no problem" before heading back to his room. it was still pretty early to go to sleep but there wasn't anything to do. it seemed like wooyoung was tired and san didn't feel like bothering him anymore than he already has so san changed his clothes into wooyoung's pajamas and got under the blanket.
san knew he wouldn't sleep right away, he stared up at the ceiling. mr. kwon would probably kill him on monday, he might even fire him. san sighed and turned over to his side. it seemed like it was going to be a long night.
3 hours had passed and san frustratingly turned over on his side again. this couch may have been expensive, but it was so unbearingly uncomfortable. san groaned and sat up, glancing at the hallway, where wooyoung's room was. if only he took up wooyoung's offer on letting him sleep in his bed.
"fuck it" san muttered and walked to wooyoung's room. it probably wasn't the best idea san ever had, but he was so desperate to fall asleep, he didn't even care. wooyoung's door was slightly open. san peered inside and saw wooyoung presumably fast asleep. nudging the door open, san kept an eye on wooyoung, not wanting to wake him up.
once the door was fully open, san stepped into the room and tip-toed towards the bed. he gently lifted up the cover and carefully slid into the bed. san glanced again at wooyoung, making sure he didn't move. seeing that wooyoung stayed still, san sighed in relief and shifted a bit to get more comfortable.
him and wooyoung were facing each other and san couldn't help but stare at the chef. san would never admit it out loud, but he found wooyoung charming. his blonde and black hair covered his face and san found himself brushing the hair away to get a closer look at wooyoung's face. san noticed how wooyoung's usually scrunched up face was more relaxed. he looked so...peaceful, something san hadn't seen from wooyoung. whenever san saw wooyoung he always seemed stressed or tired. it was different to see him in a much more calm state.
san moved a bit closer and reached his finger out to touch the mole under wooyoung's eye. san didn't know what he was doing. he wasn't thinking clearly, or maybe he was, he wasn't completely sure.
"so pretty" san whispered as his finger made contact with the mole, he continued to admire wooyoung and felt something go off. an exploding sensation in his hear like fireworks had gone off. san felt a surge of energy radiate from within him. it was as if the heavens themselves had ignited, showering him with sparks of celestial fire that danced beneath his skin. he felt his heart beating rapidly in his chest.
he felt a warmth grab his hand and looked to see wooyoung grab san's hand in his sleep. he held san's hand and hugged it close to his face. san widened his eyes but didn't pull away. he gulped, realizing that wooyoung was making him feel things.
and he kind of liked it.
