yunho and san sat across from each other in the outdoor seating of their go-to sandwich shop. "what do you think?" san asked while yunho was looking over the long menu san had gotten from wooyoung last night.

"i've never heard of some of this stuff" yunho muttered as he read the descriptions carefully, "i'm not that much of a food expert either". san groaned, "i have to pick the dishes today" he whined.

"just pick the fanciest sounding thing" yunho passed san the menu back, "that should work". san frowned, "i guess so. at least i have an allergies list". san never liked mr. kwon but he was grateful when he came over to his cubicle to give him a list of known allergies among the employees and guests. it put san's mind to ease a little, knowing he wouldn't unintentionally kill anyone.

"san?" san looked up at yunho and raised both his eyebrows, "hm?" he hummed. yunho shifted a bit uncomfortably in his seat, "is it okay if i ask about yesterday? it's fine if you don't want to say anything, i was just worried". san's gaze softened and he gave yunho a small smile, "i realized some things last night but i'm not sure what to do at this point. you were right that day at the mall. jiyeon and i want different things" san said, recalling what yunho said to him at the food court.

"is it something you two can work out?". san slowly shook his head, "i don't think so" he sighed, "but we need to have a conversation without fighting. that's for sure". yunho nodded. he was a bit taken aback since this was probably the first time san opened up to him about the jiyeon situation.

"and you're okay? like, actually okay? you're not hiding how you really feel, right?" san let out a laugh at the sight of yunho being so concerned. "i'm okay now. i probably won't be okay later but i'm fine now so quit worrying" he smiled at yunho and ruffled his hair.

wooyoung had his laptop laid out in front of him on his desk. he opened up a new tab and typed choi san in the search engine. once he realized how little he knew about san, his curiosity had gotten the best of him. he wasn't that hopeful at finding anything on san, it wasn't like he was a celebrity or anything.

wooyoung was scrolling for a while and found a link to an instagram page. thinking it wasn't much, wooyoung pressed on it and was surprised to see it was actually san. there were quite a few photos of san with his friends and some with his family members, which wooyoung figured out by reading the captions. he kept going through the posts and suddenly stopped on a certain one. it was a photo of san and another girl hugging with the caption "my love".

wooyoung's jaw clenched and his eyes narrowed the more he looked at the girl. he felt an uneasy feeling surge through him. he kept gazing at the photo, thoughts racing. he couldn't pinpoint the reason as to why seeing san with another girl made him feel weird. he was honestly almost angry.

"what are you looking at?". wooyoung gasped and immediately slammed the laptop shut. he looked up to see yeosang looking at him with an eyebrow raised.

"can't you knock?" wooyoung said through his teeth after catching his breath. if yeosang hadn't said anything, there was a high possibility he would have caught him stalking san.

"for your information, i did knock" yeosang said as he crossed his arms, "you were just too focused with whatever was on the screen to notice".

wooyoung averted his gaze away from yeosang and cleared his throat, "i was just looking at finances" he muttered and hastily shoved the laptop in his bag, zipping it shut. yeosang peered at wooyoung, "uh huh" he muttered, not at all convinced with wooyoung's response.

before yeosang was able to question wooyoung further, he was interrupted by a knock on the half opened door. a head popped in and wooyoung's gaze fell onto the dark haired man with the dimpled smile.

"hey! i got the list" san smiled proudly and placed a piece of paper on wooyoung's desk. yeosang looked at wooyoung confused, "this is san, our client i told you about" wooyoung informed yeosang, realizing that yeosang hadn't met san yet. he turned to san, "uh, this is my sous chef, yeosang".

san smiled at yeosang and reached out his hand, "it's nice to meet you". yeosang gave san the once-over before grabbing onto san's hand and giving it a shake, "nice to meet you as well". even seeing yeosang touching san's hand made wooyoung feel uncomfortable. he had a sudden urge to rip their hands away from each other.

wooyoung jumped up from his chair, list in his hand and grabbed yeosang. "we don't have much time, we better get started" he forced a smile, hoping san would get the hint and leave. he didn't understand why san had to personally come over to give him the list, especially since he didn't approve of wooyoung using paper. it would've just been easier to text it to him.

"can you even cook?" yeosang scoffed and wooyoung glared at him, "of course i can" he retorted. he yanked yeosang by the arm to drag him out.

"wait" the two men turned to look at san who had his hands shoved in his pockets, "can i watch?". wooyoung's eyes widened and his grip on yeosang loosened. if he could barely function in the kitchen without san being around, how in the world would he be able to cook with san watching him?

"sure" yeosang shrugged and gave wooyoung a knowing look before walking ahead of them to the kitchen. wooyoung smiled awkwardly at san and they both followed yeosang.

"sorry if i'm intruding" san started, "i just thought it'd be cool to see a michelin star kitchen". wooyoung nodded, feeling a bit skeptical since san didn't seem at all interested in the food or the restaurant before, but decided to shake off those feelings.

their shoulders unintentionally bumped into each other as they were walking and wooyoung could feel his face blushing pink. this was certainly not good. thankfully they arrived at the kitchen so wooyoung was able to compose himself before san noticed.

wooyoung opened the door to reveal the kitchen and he heard san gasp. "it's bigger than i imagined" he said as he looked around. wooyoung grinned. he believed that to cook quality food, you have to have a quality kitchen. that is why when construction began for the restaurant, wooyoung took time and care to carefully design a kitchen he would love to be in every second of the day.

"but where is everyone?" san frowned as he looked around, noticing the kitchen was empty except for the three of them. "it was a long day so we decided to let the cooks leave while we get started" yeosang mentioned while he pulled out a chopping board. san nodded and walked around the kitchen, looking at everything around him.

when san was far enough away to where he couldn't hear them but wooyoung and yeosang could still see him, yeosang leaned over to wooyoung's ear.

"it's him, right?" yeosang whispered, "he's the reason why you can't focus?".
