(Season 1 X 10)

For the next month Barry and Katrina manage to keep what was going on between them quiet from their friends, wanting to see where things would go for themselves. They continued to patrol the city as Flash and Bolt, and still went to work at the CCPD, and they have been having the team at STAR labs push their abilities, wanting to be just as fast as the man in yellow was. Today Barry and Katrina were racing around the abandoned airfield, being chased by a drone Cisco had built that was also shooting at them. Katrina and Barry easily evaded each bullet and out ran the drone, neither one of them getting exhausted.

"Cisco you gonna bring it or what?" Barry asks through their communication links. Katrina and Barry continued to be chased by the drone, when this time it shot a missile at them. Katrina and Barry barely out run it when it hits and they roll across the pavement. They both get back up and look at one another as another missile comes right at them; they look back at the missiles that were launched at them. They nod at one another, before running at the missiles catching them and tossing them at the drones, destroying them. Katrina and Barry smile at one another before wincing in pain and heading back toward the team.

Barry and Katrina change out of their suits and sit down and eat over a dozen Big Belly Burgers as the team goes over the data. "Very impressive, Mr. Allen, Miss Ivory, your reaction to stimuli at super speed continues to improve" Dr Wells says to the two of them.

"It's still not enough" Barry says as he gets up from his chair.

"It will be" Wells tells him. "Keep working like you are, you stay focused like you are, you will be ready next time your man in the yellow suit comes around" Wells adds.

"I think you mean the Reverse-Flash" Cisco says and they give him a look.

"What? He said it, not me. And he's right, yellow suit, red lightning, and evil. The reverse of Barry" Cisco says to them all.
"Meh" Caitlin says.
"Actually, I kind of like it" Wells says and Katrina can sense something off of that but she just shakes it off.

"Alright, I'm so ready for another round. How many drones do you have left?" Barry asks as he walks off.

"Two and they've got lasers" Cisco says to Barry.
"No" Caitlin, Wells and Katrina all say at the same time.
After spending all day training, Katrina and Barry were finally called away when a call came in from Joe about at break and enter. They left the airfield, changed into their normal clothes, and headed off for the crime scene. The two of them began to examine the room, trying to establish what had happened, since nothing seemed to have been stolen.

"Are you sure nothing's missing?" they hear Joe ask an officer.
"That's what the supervisor said, I can check again" the officer tells him before walking away. Katrina and Barry look down at the broken pieces of metal, examining them.

"Bar, Kat" Joe calls out to them.
"Hey" Barry responds, "uh well, the breakage indicates that the door somehow had zero viscoelasticity when it hit the ground" Barry explains to him.

"What does that mean to normal people?" Joe asks.
"Sorry, it means that the steel shattered like glass" Katrina explains as she then picks up one of the pieces, and touches it with her glove, she then looks over at Joe and Barry, "It was frozen" she tells them.

"Snart" Joe says right away.
"He's back" Barry says to him.
"I thought Snart was some world-class thief" Eddie says to the three of them, "All these expenisive cars, he didn't take any of them? Doesn't make sense" he adds.
"Eddie put out an APB on Snart" Joe tells him.
"Got it" Eddie says as he walks away.

Katrina puts the piece of steel back down and stands up as Barry does the same, "Snart wasn't here to steal anything" Barry says to Joe and Katrina.

"He was setting a trap" Joe says right away.
"For us" Katrina says back at him. "And for us, I mean"
"I know what you meant" Joe says to her as they walk away.

Katrina and Barry head back off the STAR Labs, to tell them about Snart being back in town, "Captain Cold is back?" Cisco says as they enter the cortex.
"For a non-metahuman, Leonard Snart is quite the nemesis" Wells says to them.

"He still has the cold gun, the one he stole from us. The one I built" Cisco says.
"What does he want this time?" Caitlin asks Katrina and Barry.
"The Flash and Bolt" Barry answers, "If Snart wants a fight, then we'll give him one" he adds.
"Well...." Wells says.
"You don't think we should" Barry says to him.

"I didn't say that but, Barry, as fast as you two are, you cannot be everywhere at once. And it becomes then a question of priorities. In the last month, you two have made a commitment to increasing your speed, enhancing your reflexes, and it's working, you are both finally getting faster" Wells says to them.

"Okay, so what are we suppose to do, ignore Snart being in town?" Katrina tells him.
"The last time you had a fight with Snart, a train derailed. You were lucky to get all those people to safety" Wells tells her.

"That's because I went by myself" she tells him.
"I know, but you don't give him that fight" Wells says.
"He may just back off, and there'll be no casualties" Barry tells her.

"Look, Barry, Katrina, Cisco and I will work with Joe and the police and devise a way to catch Cold" Wells says, "Yes I said it, Cisco soon as it came out of my mouth I heard it" he adds.

"Yeah we can come up ways to neutralize Snart" Cisco tells them.
"Listen, Barry, Katrina, whether or not you two go after Snart that's your choice. We are here, we will do whatever we can to support you two. But after this past Christmas... after the events with the Reverse-Flash I just think he poses a greater threat to all of us" Wells says.
"Yeah, okay" Katrina says as her and Barry then leave the Lab.

"I think we should listen to Wells, just back off of Snart till we know why he's here and if we need to stop him" Katrina says as she takes Barry's hand and they head toward her apartment.

"Yeah, we really don't want to have what happened last time happen again, plus with him having the cold gun still it would be a big risk." Barry says to her.
"So playing the safety card" she says to him.
"Yeah, so want me to go grab us pizza and meet back at your place?" he asks her.

"I think that sounds good, make sure you get my favourite and might want to get a lot since I am exhausted from all that training today" Katrina says and they hug one another before taking off, Barry to get pizza and Katrina headed back to her place.

Barry and Katrina woke up early the next day, smiling at one another, "Morning" Barry says to Kat.
"Morning, we feel asleep once again, this is a big recurring thing" Katrina says.

"Yeah, but it's a nice recurring thing" he says back to her.
"Joes going to catch on to this, when we keep showing up at work together, and you show up in the same clothes as the day before" Katrina says to him.

"I will go home, change and just casually meet up with you at work" Barry says as he sits up beside her.
"Do you really think Joe won't notice?" Katrina asks him.
"We will just have to wait and see" he tells her as he pulls her close and hugs her.

"Okay, I will meet you at the precinct" she says as she gives him a quick kiss. Barry then leaves her apartment, and Katrina gets herself ready. It doesn't take her long, to change. Katrina cleans up their pizza boxes from last night, before making her way to work. Just as Katrina arrives, Barry arrives right behind her," Hey, I got you something" he says to her. She turns around to face him, and sees Barry holding some donuts for her.

"Thanks" she smiles as they then head inside the precinct, they enter and spot Eddie and Iris, a look forms on Barry's face as he sees them kissing.

"Hey" Katrina says to the couple, and they turn to look at Barry and Katrina.
"Hey" Iris says and she has a look to match Barry's.
"Umm, Eddie do you know where Joe is?" Katrina then asks.
"I think he is up in your lab" he tells her.
"Thanks" she says as they then leave and head upstairs.

"Joe, hey" Barry says as the two of them enter to see him seated at Barry's desk.

"Hey, I'm glad you're back" Joe says to the two of them as Katrina puts the donuts down, and Joe hands them each a coffee., "I've been going over Snart's file" he says to them.
"Yeah, we need to talk to you" Barry says to Joe, and Katrina worries that Barry's going to tell Joe about them. "Umm, as CSI, our work on this case is done, and as the Flash and Bolt, I don't think we can focus on Snart right now" Barry says.

"You mind telling me what brought about this change of heart?" Joe asks.
"This man in yellow, the man that killed my mom he's still out there. I have to be ready to face him, which means amping up our speed. It's...it's a question of priorties" Barry tells Joe.

"Your mom's killer isn't the only reason you've been doing this. You told me if you could use your powers to save someone from a burning building, you would" Joe says standing up.
"Look, Dr. Wells and STAR Labs are gonna work with you. Cisco thinks he has a way to protect the police against Snart's cold gun" Barry tells him.

"Barry, I understand if you're scared. We talked about this" Joe says to him.
"Of course I'm scared, Joe. This guy could run into the precinct and kill everyone in seconds, he threatened Iris, he came after Katrina. I won't let him hurt the most important people in my life again. If that means devoting every second I have outside this place to getting faster and to stopping him, that's what I'm gonna do. I'm sorry, I've made up my mind" Barry says as he then walks away.

"I'm guessing you are going along with this as well" Joe says to Katrina.
"This man has some weird thing for me too, so I am, but if you really need some extra help I am just a call away" she says to Joe as she then also leaves looking for Barry.

Katrina spots Barry leaving the precinct, "Hey" she calls out to him and he stops giving her a weak smile.
"That was harsh wasn't it" Barry says to her.
"Just a little, but it was the right thing to do" Katrina says to him and they start to head down the street.

"Yeah it was, we need to try and get faster for the next time he shows up" Barry tells her.
"Yes your right we do need that, but we need to also just focus on regular things too, Barry keeping your mind on one thing is never healthy" Katrina tells him.

"I get it Kat I really do, but with this Reverse Flash out there, I just won't be able to really rest until he's caught" Barry tells her.
"I know" she says, "Um Barry you didn't happen to say anything to Iris about us have you?" Katrina then asks him.

"No, why?" he asks her.
"I dunno she had this almost disapproving look on her face" she says to him.
"Maybe she's picked up on something" Barry says to her.
"Yeah maybe but I don't know why she would be upset about it" Katrina says to him.

"I don't know" he says as his phone then starts to buzz, "speaking of Iris" he says as he looks to see he has a message from her. "She says that she is packing and that she found something for me" he tells her.

"Want me to tag along?" She asks.
"I would love for you to" he says as he wraps an arm around her back and pulls her closer as they make their way toward the West residence.

Barry lets go of Katrina as they walk up the steps and he opens the door, "Came to help her pack?" Joe asks the two of them.
"Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Iris said that she had something for me?" Barry asks her.
"Oh, ahem" she says as she walks by Barry and picks up a backpack, "I found this in my closet" she says handing it to Barry and the three of them laugh.

"I haven't seen this in years" Barry says as he kneels down to look inside.
"Well, the nerd survival kit is still intact" Iris tells him.
"Wow" Barry says once he zips open the bag, and pulls out some comics.

"I thought those might be worth something" she tells Barry, who just looks up at her and smiles. Iris then looks at her watch, "Uh, I am so late for work" she says as she then goes to get her things. "I promise I will clean this up when I get back" she tells Joe as she makes her way for the door.
"Bye" they all say to one another.

Once Iris is gone Joe looks over at Barry and Katrina, "Okay, you mind telling me what's going on with you two and Iris?" he asks them.

"Nothing" Barry tells him.
"That's funny because I have these two things called eyes, and it doesn't look like you three are fine" Joe says to them.
"We think she knows about us" Katrina says to him.
"She knows you two are the Flash and Bolt" he says to her.

"No, we think she might know something is going on with Barry and me" Katrina tells him.
"Oh really?" Joe says to them.
"Yeah, Barry and I am a thing, but we just don't want everyone to know yet. I think Iris is just mad that we haven't told her, or jealous, but she's with Eddie so I don't know why she would be upset" Katrina says to Joe.

"I had a feeling something was there, but I didn't want to push it. You two should talk to Iris, I'm sure she's going to be happy" Joe says to them.
"Yeah, we just wanted to see how things go first" Katrina tells him.
"Well it better work out, or things are going to be awkward" Joe smiles at them, "speaking of you both know Iris isn't going to clean this up" he then says.
"No" Barry says to Joe.
"Please" he asks them, and they both sigh as they clean up Iris's mess.

"She better make this up to us" Katrina says as they put away the final box.
"She probably won't even know it was us" Barry tells her.
"No she will think it was just Joe" Katrina says as they then leave the West household.
"Do you think we should talk to Iris?" Barry says to her.

"I don't know Barry, I think if something is bothering Iris she will talk to us" Katrina says as she takes Barry's hand.
"Yeah, your right Iris will come to us if she wants to know anything, or if she's bothered by this?" he says as he holds their hands up.

"Yeah, but why...why would she? Unless..." Katrina looks at Barry.
"Unless what?" he asks her.
"She's got feelings for you, and now that we might be something she's realizing them" Katrina says as they continue down the street.

"I don't know Kat, I mean she seems to be so in love with Eddie" Barry tells her.
"I know, Barry, come on let's head to STAR Labs maybe going there will help keep our minds off this" she says, "and maybe we can get some training in" Katrina suggests.

"Yeah, we should, bet I can get there before you" he smiles at her as he then takes off.
"Oh you cheater Bartholomew Henry Allen" she calls out as she races off after him. Katrina runs down the streets, and catches up to Barry, smiling at him as they run side by side. They both arrive at STAR Labs at the same time, "it's a tie" she says to Barry.

"I dunno, I'd say I got here a millisecond before you" he smiles at her.
"You tell yourself that Allen" she nudges him as they make their way inside.

Entering the cortex they see Caitlin seated at one of the computers, "Hey" Katrina and Barry say, and Caitlin lets out a yelp in surprise.
"Sorry, we didn't mean to scare you" Barry tells her as they go over and lean against the desk.
"No, its okay I was just kind of focused" she answers.

"Gothca" Barry says to her.
Katrina then looks at the computer screen, "Hey, what's Firestorm?" she asks her.
"It's one of the last things Ronnie said to me before he flew away" she says to her, "My dead fiancé can fly, haven't broke that to my parents yet" she says before looking at Barry and Katrina, " you two doing okay?" she asks them.

"Yeah, Yeah I know, I just, well we just...okay your gonna be the first to know, we told one another how we really feel" Katrina admits to her.
"Oh wow and how is that going?" she asks.
"We are making it work, we are best friends, and we know how this double life we live works. We just want to make this as normal as possible but we aren't sure" Barry says smiling at Katrina.

"Before I met Ronnie, I knew exactly what was going to happen every day of my life, it was predictable, I like predictable" Caitlin says to them, "But when Ronnie and I started dating, everything started to change. He made me try Indian food, and scuba diving. At first it was scary, but then it was better. Things weren't entirely normal with you two pining after each other, but whatever happens next it will be better, and I am sure you two can make it work" she says to them.

"Thanks Cait, for understanding, and please don't tell anyone not until we are ready" Katrina says to her.
"I promise" she says to her, as the two of them then start to walk away, Barry stops when he realizes something.

"Wait, Caitlin...scuba" he says to her.
"What about it?" she asks.
"Self-contained underwater breathing apparatus, it's an acronym" he explains to her.
"What if Firestorm isn't a word?" she then asks as she types on the computer, "Fusion ignition research experinement and science of transmutation originating RNA and molecular structures, its 800 pages" Caitlin says looking up at the two of them. Barry then clears his throat and Caitlin moves over as he then speed reads through it all.

He finally finishes and lets out a deep breath, "There's a lot of stuff in there, but it mostly focuses on transmutation, which is the process of altering the structure of an element by unzipping atoms—"he explains.
"And rebuilding it to create an entirely new element" Caitlin finishes for him.
"Yeah, well the article was co-written by Jason Rusch who is a grad student here at Hudson University. If anybody knows what happened to Ronnie" Barry says to her.

"Maybe he does" Caitlin says
"Yeah" Barry says to her.
"Thanks" she says to them, "And I promise not to say a word, that is up to you too" she smiles at them.

"Thanks Cait "Katrina says "and I hope you get your answers on Ronnie" she adds.
"I hope so too" she smiles as Barry and Katrina then leave the room.

Later that night Barry and Kat hear an emergency call about Snart attacking, and they rush to CCPD, they get off the elevator and head toward Joe, "Hey, Hey, are you okay?" Barry asks him.

"I'll call you back" Joe says to his phone as he hangs up his phone, "I'm fine. Snart's new partner, he's got this handheld flamethrower. Almost everyone was treated on the scene, but we got two in the Burn Unit though" Joe tells
