Steven wakes up from his dreams, or his nightmares you should say.
He keeps thinking about what he saw. the lifeless beast of bones.
He cast the thoughts from his mind and looks around to see ordis. he's standing right next to him.

Steven: did you watch me sleep all night?

ordis: yes, you were having nightmares so I watched over you to comfort you.

Steven: oh, where are the others?

Ordis: they went on a mission, they'll be back shortly.

Steven: hey I just realized, you never met lapis! Cmon let's go to the barn

He grabs his hand and runs down the stairs with him.

Steven and him make his way to the barn. They get there but don't see lapis. they do however see peridot

Steven: peridot!

she hears him and makes her way towards him.

Peridot: Steven! what are you doing here.

Steven: I brought ordis to meet lapis, he's never met her.

Peridot: him? that's odd for a gem, another defective gem I supposed.

Ordis: I'm not defective! Just old and out dated.

Peridot: what does that mean.

She says giving him a glare.

Steven: where lapis peridot?

Peridot: she's watching camp pining hearts in the barn. We're on season 4 episode 2 already! We're about to start episode 3!

She says excitedly and runs back to the barn.

Steven and ordis follow her.

they see lapis up on the truck bed on the barn.

Steven: lapis come down, I want you to meet somebody!

Lapis heard him and she smiles

Lapis: Steven?!

She sees him and immediately flies down to him.

Lapis: what are you doing here?

Steven: I brought a friend for you to meet!

she looks at ordis who does a little wave at her.

Lapis: who's this?

Steven: he's a gem we found in a mountain. He was stuck there for who knows how long trapped in a wall.

lapis: you were trapped too, I know how that feels. It's a dreadful and crushing experience.

Ordis: not really, barely an inconvenience

He retorts

Lapis gives him a strange look that is surprised, confused, and a little insulted.

Lapis: how long were you there?

Ordis: how long have the gems been on the planet.

lapis: over 5000 years.

Ordis: far longer than that

Lapis: were you conscious.

Ordis: completely! For the entirety of that time I was stuck in the wall.

Lapis: how was that not a horrible experience for you!?

Ordis shrugged.

Ordis: it's not the first time it's happened to me.

Lapis looks at him confused and a bit sad.

lapis: well atleast your out now, I also know that it will take you a bit of time to understand and get used to earth, but I'm willing to help you just like Steven helped me.

She says proudly and confident.

Ordis: no need, I'm already accustomed to earth.

lapis: what? you sleep and everything?

Ordis: if I wish.

Lapis: but wasn't hard to get used to it.

She says worried and with a bit of jealousy.

Ordis: not at all barely an inconvenience.

Lapis looks at him a bit mad, confused , and jealous of how quickly he adapted compared to her.

Steven: so lapis what do you think of him.

Lapis: him?

Steven: yeah it's what he prefers!

He says happily.

She glares at him out of jealousy , thinking he's already accustomed enough to earth to give himself human male pronouns.

Lapis: nice to meat you.

She says with a bit of malice before she flies back to watch her show.

Ordis: nice to meet you to.

He says happily and innocently as he waves at her flying away.

Steven: well that was weird of her. she not usually like that. Kind of.

Steven begins to think how he can get lapis and ordis more accustomed with each other. And then he gets an idea.

Steven: peridot, lapis come here!

Then both head over to him

Lapis and peridot: yes Steven.

Steven: to get to know ordis better let's have a sleep over at the barn.

Peridot: is this one of earth's customs.

She's says excitedly

Lapis: yay.

She says sarcastically

Steven: were gonna have so much fun together.

(Time skip)

It's night time and the gems and Steven have been talking all day and watching their favorite show.

Peridot had tried to be great and lovable as always.

And lapis... has been, well lapis.
Barely talking to ordis only asking questions trying to get him to admit he's not use to earth. She thinks he's acting like the ruby that came to earth and stayed at their barn for a little while.

Steven is getting tired and is ready to sleep.

Steven: alright guys time to hit the hay.

He tried to sound cool for ordis.

Ordis: goodnight Steven.

Steven sleeps on a spare mattress. But he noticed that ordis is not sleeping like everybody else.

Steven: ordis that means you to. It's not a sleepover if everyone doesn't sleep.

Ordis: oh, sorry Steven I'll lose consciousness as well then.

He immediately falls face first into the floor and sleep.

Steven giggles a little.

Lapis looks annoyed.

Steven then goes back to sleep and starts to dream.

(Dream)

He finds himself in a strange place. he's in a field of grass surrounded by a forest. And behind him is a giant white tower with golden accents.

Steven: where am I.

Right before his eyes the field changes to a battlefield.

he sees three warriors fighting an army.

he sees a warrior with a blade and bow cutting down what seems to be... humans, some with gun or sword.

The warrior appears to have a horn like growth coming from their head.

he starts to back up but then he bumps into another warrior. this one is a female and has a glass face with a galaxy inside.

He cowers as he falls to the ground backing away.

the warrior ignores him and runs towards the battlefield decimating anyone in its way.

A third warrior appears

it has horns on the back of its head and is bigger than the others. it breathes fire on its enemies like a dragon burning through many it seems to be changing its elemental attacks based on its color.

All the sudden all of its enemies are destroyed and it's looked straight at Steven scaring him beyond anything he's ever felt before.

It starts to make its way towards him as fast as it can and before Steven knew it, it was right in front of him.

he cowers and closes his eyes out of fear. but nothing happens.

He looks up and sees its hand extended to him. And then it speaks.
It sounds...human

???: get up y/n, get back in the fight!!!

Steven then looks down to see that his body is not his own. he's dressed in
(f/c) armor with (sf/c) accents. It looks futuristic but human at the same time.

he then looks up and grabs its hand.

he then hears a familiar voice come from nowhere.

Ordis: operators, theres an orokin fleet coming this way. I suggest you extract

Steven recognizes ordis voice.

But before he can say anything the dragon and front of him says something.

The dragon: no, we stay and fight the empire ends today.

Steven then sees a massive ship come out of nowhere surrounded by smaller ones. it's fires at them but before he can react he wakes up.

(Dream end)

Steven wakes up in a cold sweat gasping.

He wakes up ordis who immediately responds to Steven.

Ordis: what's wrong Steven!

He says worried

Steven: I had a bad dream. I was in a field and then it suddenly turned to war zone. I saw three warriors fighting and army like I've never seen before! And then I saw someone come up to me and call me y/n, and then I heard you.

Ordis looks at him, however Steven can not tells his facial expression do to his form having no actual face.

Ordis: it's only a dream Steven. Nothing to worry about.

He says in a calming tone.

Steven ask a question.

Steven: ordis can you tell me something?

Ordis: anything Steven?

Steven: who is y/n?

A/n: 1380 words long. Sorry for updating so danm late. I was real busy and I don't spend much time on Wattpad anymore. I will try to update next weekend. But I have to see, it depends on what show I'm focused on. It's why I don't update on this story anymore. I haven't payed attention to this show in a good while and recently started paying attention again which is why I've updated today.
