Ruby was seen doing a solider march in front of Sapphire, basically guarding her. Bismuth, Lapis, You, Peridot, Spinel and Steven were all in the distance with Steven pacing around contemplating, trying to find a way to get their memories back.

"So, when Ruby and Sapphire first became Garnet, Ruby rushed in to save Sapphire from danger and bam! They fused. So maybe we gotta create some sort of dangerous situation." Steven said.

"Well, what do we have that's deadly and dangerous lying around?" Lapis asked as she looked down to Peridot "I think we can dig something up!" Peridot chuckles as she ran towards some type of bin and started rummaging around in it, this also resulted her throwing a chainsaw, a drill then a hammer out of it.

You, Steven and Spinel looked at her, she was holding some type of chicken... uh thing? She gave it to Steven as Steven sets it down onto the surface of the very ground they were standing upon "Aha!" Peridot lifted up a "Giant Pizza cutter!?" Steven asked puzzled, "That is one of it's functions, yes." Peridot handed it over to Steven.

"Steven can't threaten them with that." You said, Peridot thought for a second and then pressed the button to activate the 'Pizza cutter'. Steven looked at the blades with a frightened expression.

"Now it's much more threatening, off you go now." She pushed Steven and off he went still looking frightened by the device.

"Good luck!" Spinel said from behind, he went over to them with the device looking at the two worried.

Ruby stopped her trotting when she realised Steven was in front of them with the device "Halt! I cannot allow you to approach my Sapphire with such a threatening device." She declared.

"That's too bad, because I'm gonna... get you!" Steven said as he lifted the dangerous device above the two, you were awkwardly looking at him in the distance, you were seriously having second thoughts.

"Will this work?" Bismuth asked, Spinel popped in next to you giggling and interlocked her arm with yours, your heart jumped a beat due to her appearing right next to you out of thin air.

"Permission to dispatch the curly haired one, My Sapphire?" Ruby asked "No need, I predict he wont be able to follow through." Sapphire answered.

Steven looked at the two nervously, he doesn't have the heart to threaten them.

Even if it's pretend.

"She's right. Ugh, I can't." He deactivated the weapon and it landed next to him, he turned back to us "Even if we are just pretending." When he rejoined the group, you pat him on the shoulder saying he did his best.

Ruby looked back at Sapphire surprised "My Sapphire, you were right! What will you predict what will happen next?" Ruby asked curious of Sapphires predictions.

"Well, the Spinel will pick up that device out of curiosity." Sapphire said, Spinel actually did pick up the device out of curiosity and was looking at it with a thinking face.

"Hijinks will ensue." She finished, while you were with the others you noticed that Spinel had the device in her hands "Wait! Spinel! No, no, no! Don't touch that thing!" You shouted, Spinel activated the device but it was too much for her to handle.

The device started juddering in her hands violently. Spinel eventually lost control over the device as it began to drag her along with it, cutting within the ground and specifically crashing into a structure which made Bismuth stunned and probably slightly annoyed "Hey! We just built that!"

Spinel screams continued on as the device dragged her everywhere, and eventually to the group, you quickly grabbed Steven's hand and yanked him out of the way "You okay?" you asked, he puts his thumbs up with a smile.

Spinel and the device speeds through the separated group before slicing the bin in half that was currently used from Peridot. "Spinel." Steven hollered before tackling Spinel off the device, her grip was finally off the device but...

Wait... oh no, then that would mean-

They both looked up while you were already looking at the device in horror while it continued to cut, it went up the center tower and sliced straight through the scaffolding completely destroying it "My scaffolding! My precious scaffolding!" Bismuth shouted.

"If only I had my powers! I would've been able to put a stop to this and reverse the damage!" You shouted looking worried with the amount of destruction the device was making.

"Wow, what happens next?" Ruby questioned "In just a moment, the scaffolding will start falling all around you." Sapphire said.

"What?" The scaffolding indeed began to fall around Ruby, she dodges the falling debris to avoid getting hit.

"Wow, you're amazing!" Ruby said, Sapphire blushed, smiling at her "Hmph, next, the Peridot will hold back some of the falling debris. Three large barrels will fall. The Bismuth will catch two of them."

Steven and you turned around to see Peridot running to the scaffolding and started using her metalkinesis to hold the falling scaffolding into place "I've got this, Bis!"

"Nice work, Perido- oh shucks!" Bismuth praised Peridot but abruptly caught off guard as something else caught her eye. Three barrels fell and Bismuth managed to catch two of them and safely set them down onto the ground, unfortunately one of the barrels weren't caught and it started rolling towards the two beetles.

"Oh no! The Heaven and Earth beetles are out for their afternoon constitutional!" Bismuth shouted worried for the two beetles "The lapis will rush in and save them at the last second." Sapphire stated.

Lapis swooped in and caught the two beetles just at the last second, she ended up having a rough landing and de-summons her waterwings before checking the unharmed beetles "Phew, you guys okay?" The beetles gave her a little thumbs up to indicate they were okay.

Eventually the whole scaffolding collapsed onto the ground, Spinel was on the ground with her hands over her head while you and Steven were kneeling on the ground protecting yourselves from the falling debris.

"Woah..." Steven concluded as he looked at the destruction the device made "Is it over?" Spinel asked opening her eyes checking the field, "The saw! The saw will continue to cut!" Sapphire shouted, but she said that in a panicked tone and not in her normal tone.

Oh no, that probably means something drastic is about to happen. You looked up to the saw seeing it was definitely still cutting, but it was getting closer towards the crane that had an anvil latched onto it "The anvil will fall." Sapphire said.

Your eyes widened as you saw the device cut into the handle of the crane, becoming lodged in the process.

"And you..."

"You'll be shattered."

The handle of the crane snapped and the anvil gave way as it was now descending towards Ruby, you couldn't let her get shattered by any means!

Steven acted quickly and threw his shield under the anvil just at the last second, you on the other hand had made an orange chain and latched it to the anvil to support Steven, you two were struggling badly as your powers began to falter and beads of sweat began to emerge on your faces.

"The curly and (Your hair style type) haired types powers are fading." Sure enough you looked down to your gem seeing it was loosing it's power, you looked back up only to be met with horror and see the chain and shield were both fracturing as the seconds passed, you looked at Ruby in fear.

"Ruby I'm sorry! I told you wouldn't last the day!" Ruby looked at Sapphire with contented eyes before accepting her fate "Well, I'm glad fate allowed me to meet you." The minute she finished that the Shield and chain fractures completely.

"No!" You both shouted, but all of a sudden Sapphire heroically came in and pushed Ruby out the way along with her, they gazed at each other, the whole world completely zoned out for them and that's when it happened.

They fused.

Garnet was back.

Peridot, Bismuth and Lapis gasped, you were stunned to do anything. But there was a catch, she didn't look like herself, you were about to warn Steven but he made his move "Garnet! Garnet you're back!" He was about to hug her but she moved out of the way in awkwardness, this resulted him landing on the ground face-first with a 'oof'.

Steven lifted his head to Garnet, happy to see her "Thank goodness it's you!" Garnet looked confused "Wh- what's going on?" The fusion questioned baffled.

"Everyone's memories are wiped and me and Y-Ns powers are messed up." He was speaking at such a fast rate that Garnet looked like she was more baffled than before.

"We need your help! What should we do, Garnet?" You gave him a look that said it all from behind, did he even realise he rushed the whole sentence? Did he even realise Garnet looked different? "I'm sorry, but... do you know me?" Steven smile soon faded, disappointed to hear that leave her lips.

"Good question." Spinel said behind Steven, you walked next to him and put your thumb and index finger on your chin making a thinking expression. "Her memories aren't back. I guess fusion was only the first piece." You stated, you all then heard a car horn coming from the distance, you turned your head into the direction of where the beep was heard.

It was the Universe van and lion lies atop it, the van came to a stop and shortly after, a still-Rejuvenated Pearl gets out from the drivers seat while holding a step-stool and a red carpet. She sets both down while laying the carpet on top of the step-stool and specifically at the back of the van.

She then formed a small trumpet and played a small fanfare "Attention everyone, Um Greg universe has arrived." She opened the back of the van and bowed, Greg bursts out of the doors in a hurry and not really caring about the prepared step-stool Pearl prepared for him.

"Steven! Y-N! Have you seen Amethyst?" You squinted your eyes at him, what in the world was he on about? "What?! I told you to watch her!" Steven said "She must have wondered off while I was wrestling my laundry out of pearl's hands." Greg replied, the three of you looked at the van because of a sudden squeaking noise.

Pearl was scrubbing the tire with a sponge "Pearl! You don't have to do that! I own a car wash!" Steven sighed "We need to go find Amethyst now, can you watch Garnet?" Steven asked Bismuth.

"Yea sure, but it looks she's doing a pretty good job watching herself." Bismuth responded, Garnet was examining her own body and exploring her new surroundings.

He thanked her before grabbing your hand. You felt your cheeks redden from the contact but luckily, he didn't see you blushing from behind.

You followed him as your hands were still interlocked with each other until Spinel grabbed your hand "Don't forget about your best friend Spinel!" She reminded.

You two, yet again almost forgot she was here with the both of you.

"Oh right, Spinel, you stay here with the others and we'll be right back." Steven said, you was about to let go of her hand until you heard a chilling-

"No!"

You flinched, she has never snapped like that and it actually made you alarmed for a second.

"Steven I think we should just let her come with us, Spinel you can come with us." You said slightly wary from her sudden fit of anger, Spinel went back to normal after you said that "Yay!" She cheered.

"Alright let's go find Amethyst." Steven said still a little uneasy after what just happened, but off you three went.
