You were underground of Beach House in your creation base, you made the base (with the help of your tutor) for emergencies.

Luckily for you, the technology pads you made were still there, you went over to the pads and started doing some research. You first looked around in the gem database to find nothing.

That's when a light bulb went off inside your head, you decided to look through the Diamond database instead and you found the weapon you were looking for, it was called a 'Gem Rejuvenator'.

From what it said on your pads it completely strips the memories of a gem and reverts them to their original self, that explains why your gem friends were acting strange and it also explains what has happened to the both of you.

You managed to deduce when both you and Steven got hit by the Rejuvenator your gem's sides took the hit but thanks to your human sides you two didn't lose your memories nor did you two poof.

But that was the problem, the weapon made you two young again, not physically, but when you two had no control over your powers. You saw a little message on the pad saying 'How to reverse the effect'. You smiled but it soon disappeared the minute it appeared due to no information below it.

All it said was 'This effect is reversible' "Well that's great huh? But at least I've got somewhere now." You muttered to yourself as you made your way out of the creation base.

You spotted Steven in the distance along with the gems and Greg, you made your way over to them to rejoin with the group once more. Once you were with them you gave the Rejuvenator back to Steven before interpreting the intention behind the weapon and your conclusions to the situation.

"So you're telling me, that our gem friends are back to when they first started." You nodded and he carried on "And in our case since we're hybrids, our gem sides took the hit but our human sides kept us from poofing." He listed from your explanation.

You nodded again "And this results us from having no control over our powers." You concluded, Steven looked over to Spinel, the gems, then back to you as he gave a nod of indication that he understood the current situation.

"Luckily the effect is reversible but, I have no clue how to reverse it." You disclosed with disappointment laced in your tone, Lion then comes into view and you both greet him. Steven then tries to store the deactivated Rejuvenator in Lions mane but the Rejuvenator simply slid off his mane and onto the sand, it seemed that storing items in Lions mane was also dysfunctional.

"I can't store things in Lions mane now?! That's like the easiest thing I do!" He exclaimed, you had to remind him what was going on. You then glanced towards Little Homeworld in the distance, your eyes widened as you realised you two could go get some help.

"Steven." He shifted his attention towards you to see you pointing towards Little Homeworld, "Oh, of course! Bismuth, Lapis and Peridot! They may be able to help us further with this situation." He said with ambition.

Steven motioned his hand towards Little homeword "Come on, guys! Lets go figure out how to fix this." The hybrid said before sprinting followed by you and an enthusiastic Spinel, you both halted upon noticing there was no followed footsteps heard from behind "G- Guys?" Steven questioned confused.

"My um Greg, allow me." Pearl then pulled a parasol from her gem and shielded Greg from the sun, despite him being wary about the whole dilemma. Amethyst shortly after Shape shifted to Greg which left a confused Pearl diverting the parasol over them constantly.

"Ruby? Sapphire?" You asked, "She's not going anywhere with you two." You looked at Sapphire as she moved away from Ruby and further down the beach, "Never mind! We're going!" She stated as she rejoined with Sapphire, leaving Greg with Pearl and Amethyst "Wait! Don't leave me with these two!" Greg said looking at the two nervously, Steven turned back to him "Just keep an eye on them for now, we'll be back."

Steven (Along with Spinel by his side) sprinted to catch up to you as you preceeded up ahead beforehand, when Steven finally caught up to you he immediately averted his attention to the sand among walking along with you, must be lost in thought.

"Hey, Steven?" You said as you put a hand on his shoulder, he perked his head up to you "Everything is going to be okay. I promise you that, everything we do... we'll get through it together." You reassured, Steven smiled as he put his own hand on your shoulder.

You two were like this for the whole journey to Little Homeworld.

"She rode in on that?!" Periodt questioned while eyeing the Injector through her binoculars, "Yea, she said 'our human halves' wouldn't stand a chance against her injector." Steven answered.

"What does that mean?" Lapis asked "Why don't we just ask her?" Peridot replied, Bismuth was split off from the group to ponder, she accidentally overstepped the personal bubble of Sapphire and that was enough to provoke a growling Ruby, Bismuth backed away from her nervously.

"Well here's the thing." You said to them, Spinel creeps up from behind you and poked your shoulder which caused you to look behind but was brought to nothing, Spinel then mirrored her previous actions and crept up behind Steven which resulted him doing the same thing as you.

"Where'd she-?" You got cut off with Spinel popping up between you two and interlocking her extendable arms between you two "Suprise!" She laughed, "Here she is, our new friend Spinel." Steven sighed.

"Pleasure to meet you all." She greeted to them as she bowed dramatically, Bismuth looked at you three bewildered "I thought you just said she was trying to kill you two?"

"Wow, quick turnaround." Lapis said, slight shock dripping off her words "No kidding it took me months to stop trying to kill Steven and Y-N." Peridot interjected.

"I'd say a day, day and a half." Bismuth winked at you to let you know that didn't include you because your mum and her had different history compared to Pink Diamond.

"I'm still on the fence" lapis added, they all laughed together as you asked Steven if you could have the Rejuvenator. He left the deactivated weapon in your possession once again before you shortly after activated the Rejuvenator, making the weapon form the pink neon blades.

A sharp audible gasp left the three gems as they were met with the menacing weapon "Is that what i think it is?" Bismuth asked stunned, you nodded your head, telling them what a Rejuvenator was and what its purpose was "I'm guessing since Spinel was slashed with it as well, the same effect happened to her and now, she has no recollection of previous events." Steven said, Bismuth looked at you puzzled at the fact you knew this.

"I did some research on the weapon and that's how I found out about it." You then clicked the button of the Rejuvenator and it retraced.

You handed it back to Steven before Peridot interrogated you two "So, how did you two survive it then,Steven and, Y-N?" The green gem questioned "We're hybrids, it works differently for us. But we don't think we did, our human halves kept us from poofing, but our gem halves took the hit, she sent us back, It's basically like were kids all over again." Steven responded.

Then realisation hit Steven like a brick "Oh no, do we need to get the diamonds" He questioned, you shook your head, you seriously can't afford to let them know right about now.

"How in the world can we reverse this?" He questioned again, Lapis eyes closed as she spoke once again "You're the one with healing powers Steven. And Y-N is the one with time abilities, if anyone can fix this it has to be you two."

Your anxiety was running up the walls now, will both of you get your friends back? Will your powers ever return? All these questions flooded your mind "I can't believe this. For the first time in years, Everyone is in danger, Everybody needs us and we're useless!" He gazed at the Injector in fear before returning his attention back to the group "Bismuth what do we do?" He asked, desperate for an answer.

"I'm sorry, Steven, I... don't know." Bismuth sighed, He looked at Ruby and Sapphire, Ruby looked at him and crossed her arms.

"Garnet would know what to do, Garnet always know what to do..." Tears began to form in his eyes, you couldn't stand him looking like this so you went over to him and enclosed him in a hug, he rested his head on top of your chest with glossy eyes but enjoying the comfort of you hugging him.

"Don't worry, Steven, we will definitely find a way. Don't lose hope now." You whispered, your fingers tenderly combing through his hair and slightly playing with it to relax him, he wouldn't admit it but, he loved it when you played with his hair, it always works to calm him down in situations like these.

You looked into the sky determined to try fix this situation as soon as possible.
