Both you and Steven were sitting down, looking at the gems. Steven had his hand over his mouth looking lost while you had your hands intertwined in-front of your mouth, thinking about the whole situation.

You both heard footsteps as you perked your head up to see who it was, "Steven! Y-N!" It was Greg, he ran over to the table where you two were currently sitting at "I came as fast as I could! Are you two okay? Holy sh- she really got everybody!" He said surprised, you glanced down at the gems hoping for them to regenerate but alas, still nothing.

"Is that her?" Greg questioned referring to the heart shaped gem, "Yea..." Steven answered "Who?" "Absolutely no idea." You answered this time. "Why?" "Again, no idea." You stated yet again, finding yourself slightly irritated from Gregs questions "How?" You glanced at Steven to see him pulling out the weapon Spinel used on you all, "She hit us all with this." Steven then clicks the button on the handle, soon after the scythe formed with electricity crackling around the blades.

Greg jumped back frightened as he saw the weapon, Steven then clicked the button again to let the scythe return to its original form "Phew." beads of sweat had formed on Gregs head from viewing the menacing weapon, he then looked down at the gems concerned.

"It did something extra weird to us and now, our powers aren't working right. Look." Steven summoned his shield but it crackled peculiarly as if a wire lost it's connection to its power source, it diminished eventually. Greg then gazed at you so you could also prove Stevens point, a soft sigh departed from your lips before you formed an orange whip tied around both of your fists trying to extend it but, it withdrew before you could even get the chance "There's something wrong with us, dad" Steven stated to Greg, he sighed while covering his face with his hands, obviously annoyed.

"And we have no concept of what may be the matter." You murmured, your intertwined hands remaining in position while you assemble theories on what could be the matter with your dysfunctional gems.

"Well son and Y-N, now you two how I feel almost all the time. But you know what else? Any moment now, the Gems are gonna do that thing where they glow and float in the air and reappear better than ever!" Greg says to the both of you.

The minute Greg said that, Pearl's gem floated in the air "See! Here she comes. Good ol' pearl." Greg said proving his point.

Both you and Steven grinned to see this but it soon faded upon a blue shell appearing around the gem.

"Huh? Well, that's new." Greg remarked, shrugging his shoulders at the both of you "Please identify yourself." "Um, Greg Universe?" Greg answered puzzled at the new turn of events "Greetings, Um Greg universe. Please state prefer customisation options." "Uh-" Greg glanced at you two for help but all that gained was a shrug from Steven and a soft head shake from you, indicating you two were just as confused as he was.

You brought your attention from them before bringing it back to the afloat pearl "Uh, default settings please?" "Default settings selected, please stand by." The gem floated away from the three of you and then lowered itself onto the floor, the shell opened as pearl emerged from it. Her regeneration or formation was finally complete as she stood there in all of her glory.

Both Greg and Steven ran up to the gem but you stayed put, you had a feeling that something was wrong because while observing Pearl she didn't look like herself, in fact, her whole attire had completely been replaced for that matter "Pearl!" Steven shouted "Pearl! Thank goodness your back." He said happily but Pearl ignored him and went over to Greg.

That confirmed your suspicions on the gem, she would never ignore Steven like that.

"Whaaat's going on?!" Both Steven and Greg said to each other more bewildered than before, you on the other hand were still sitting on the couch unfazed.

"Could her gem be cracked?" Greg questioned, Steven went over to Pearl to examine her gem but it was perfectly fine with no damage what's so ever.

Then a soft red illuminated in front of you, Ruby's gem lifted into the air and then Ruby regenerated In front of you with arms crossed, you looked at Ruby having a feeling something was off with her as well, "Um, Ruby? Are you okay?" You questioned from behind.

She looked back to see where the source of the voice came from and was met with you, she looked confused and possibly alarmed as she questioned you "Ah? Who are you? You're not my assignment!" You groaned inwardly, things seemed to get more chaotic by the minute.

"I could really use an explanation here!" Greg said baffled while scratching his head, "Allow me to illuminate!" Pearl interjected before spinning towards Ruby who had some... um, face you couldn't describe.

Then Sapphire's gem glowed during the process of Pearls explanation (Except it's of course in song form) and lifted into the air, she regenerated standing next to Ruby. She looked over to Pearl in confusion.

Pearl: A precious Sapphire, she sees the future

"My sapphire! As my sworn duty and soul purpose, I will protect you with my life." Ruby said in a solider manner "I know you will. That's why I predict you won't last more than a day." Sapphire said with no remorse whatsoever, "Huh?" Ruby asked confused, even you were slightly wide eyed upon hearing such a bold phrase leaving the gems mouth.

"Come now." She guided Ruby to somewhere you didn't know, soon after, Amethyst gem lifted into the air and she regenerates, but she wasn't exactly... her? "Hey Amethyst, Hey Amethyst?" Steven said, but it also sounded like he was questioning her at the same time.

Amethyst repeated the words back to Steven adding in a little wave, "What? No! You're Amethyst!" But, she copied her actions from before and repeated after him again. Then Pearl continued on with her explanation but in sing formation.

Pearl: You must be right, this is an Amethyst

Amethyst awkwardly looked around but shortly after began to mimic Pearls movements. "I do say, something is clearly wrong. What are all these Gems doing here in this strange place?" Pearl questioned.

"Pearl, don't you recognise them? Don't you recognise me? Don't you recognise Y-N?" Steven asked Pearl frantically, she gave Steven a thinking face while looking at you with the same face, she then looked back to Steven "Well, I certainly recognise my Um Greg Universe." Pearl concluded "Oh boy." Greg said in the background.

Pearl then looked back to Steven and you "As for you two, hm." She was interrupted when Spinel's gem began to illuminate its surroundings and lifted into the air, all seven of you looked up to the gem while you made your way around the table to join the group.

"Get back!" Steven commanded, he tried to summon his shield only for it to disappear again to his dismay, the gem rotated clockwise until it was upright then the neon pink reforming gem began to giggle playfully.

All of a sudden you two were wrapped in a pair of extendable arms and the gem slingshotted towards you both, making the three of you fall to the ground.

When the both of you opened your eyes you saw the same pink face except, Spinel had no longer three black stripes striped beneath her eyes and her face looked much more lively compared to before. "I'm so excited to meet you!" She enthusiastically beamed, you slowly sat up while brushing yourself off "You're not mad?" You questioned, Steven also sat up nodding at your question, "Mad? Why would I be mad at my best friends!" She giggled to herself, Greg came and helped you two up from your current sitting positions.

Pearl: This will be fun!

All of you looked at Spinel and the only thing you could let out is "I'm sorry, what?" You looked at Steven "Steven can you give me the weapon that Spinel used on us earlier on?" You asked.

Steven looked at you confused "Why do you want it?" "I want to analyse it, maybe i could get to the bottom of this." You answered, Steven nodded as he fished the handle of the weapon from his pocket and gave it to you.

You thanked him and went outside of beach house to do some research on the weapon.
