~~~ (Y/N) POV ~~~
As I stood there, Pearl, Garnet, Steven and Amethyst ran to the circular pad again.
Pearl: "I am sorry about what happened, but we need to go right now."
They disappeared in the beam of light as I ran out the door, trying to look for my aunt. I ran to the house and knocked. She opened the door and saw me.
(A/N): "What. What are you?"
(Y/N): "A human. I can just do some, weird things."
(A/N): "Like what?"
She said as she slowly retreated.
(Y/N): "I don't know everything yet, so I am not completely sure."
I said, looking down, sad that I had become a freak in the eyes of another family member.
(A/N): "But, what ever it is it can't be from (F/N) side of the family, we're completely normal. It must be (M/N)'s fault. She...."
(Y/N): "It's neither of their fault. I was just born this way, we don't know how."
I look down and walk away. I walk to the boardwalk and I sit on one of the benches. Thinking about how I messed up. I should have never taken off my patch. After a bit Steven found me.
Steven: "Hey. You okay?"
I nod my head.
Steven: "It will be getting dark soon, you should probably head home."
I shake my head.
Steven: "Are you sure you're okay?"
I sit still. Not wanting to say anything. Not wanting another person to judge me.
Steven: "You can stay with me at the temple if you have to."
After a moment, I nodded and got up, following Steven as we walked to the temple. He got a pillow and a blanket I could use as I slept on the couch.
~~~ Time Skip ~~~

I woke up in the Temple. Steven and Connie were leaving to go to her house.

Steven: "(Y/N), wanna come with us?"

Connie: "Steven, you sure you want to invite them? Your just dropping me off, it's not like anything is going to happen."

Steven: "Well they can still come and say bye, for now that is. And I don't think they ever experienced the Lion express."

Connie paused for a moment and looked at me. I was very confused.

Connie: "Let's do this."

I shrug as I follow them to a... pink Lion. Well, a lot has been going on, so why not. We all got on, and he started to run. And then roared as a pink circle appeared in the air, and we leaped through it. One drug trip later, we were in front of Connie's house. I fell off lion as Connie and Steven got off.

Connie: "Heheh, yeah, it is pretty wild."

I got up and dusted myself off.

(Y/N): "What was that place? Some sort of, place in between places?"

Steven stopped and thought for a sec before shrugging. Steven and Connie started talking about their sword training, and Steven said that Connie could borrow his mother's sword. We entered the house, as Steven gave her the sword. Then a garage door was heard opening and Steven and Connie were panicking, thinking about where to hide the giant pink sword. I stood there, as Connie and Steven sat on the couch, trying to act normal. Connie started playing the violin.

Connie: "Hi mom. Just finishing my 6:00 violin practice."

Connie's Mom: "You should have finished 5 minutes ago, you're late for your 7:00 study hour. Hello Steven, and..... Connie, who is this?"

Connie: "Oh this is (Y/N). They're another friend of mine."

Connie's Mom: "Oh, well, Hello (Y/N), good to meet you. Now I must ask, is that patch a fashion statement? Or did something happen to you?"

I looked down.

(Y/N): "I don't really want to talk about it."

Connie's Mom: "I see. Anyway, I had a rough day at work and I am not in the mood for any more surprises."

Connie: "What happened at work?"

She asked as Steven was terrified as Connie's mother was next to the sword disguised as a coat rack.

Connie's Mom: "There was a really strange case at the hospital today. Straight out of a nightmare."

Steven and Connie looked in horror.

Connie's Mom: "Oh don't worry, Hospital patient confidentiality keeps me from sharing any graphic details, but... hang on a moment, when did we get a coat rack?"

As Connie's Mom started to inspect the 'coat rack' Connie and Steven knew they were busted.

Connie's Mom: "A SWORD! Connie where did you get this?!"

As Steven was about to speak, Connie interjected.

Connie: "I found it! I just found it outside and I wanted to show it to Steven."

Connie's Mom: "How could you possibly think this is okay?! Do you know how many children I see in the hospital who cut their faces off playing with swords?! NONE! Because they all have parents who love them."

I looked down.

Connie's Mom: "And who DON'T let them play around with deadly weapons like some kind of gang member! No playing with swords, under any circumstances!"

Her phone buzzed and she answered. Apparently she was called to the hospital. She started zipping the sword into her bag. And she left while talking about calculation plus being grounded and something about an abacus.

Connie: "I hate that abacus. Steven, I am so sorry. She took your mother's sword."

Steven: "Maybe we can get her to change her mind?"

Connie: "She never ever changes her mind. We've gotta get that sword back ourselves."

We got onto Lion and portal jumped to the hospital. Steven took out a pack of lion licker pop sickles and Lion immediately took the bait, tearing it up as he stayed on the sidewalk. We started going into the hospital. The halls were dark, and we heard a kind of growl or groaning noise. We 'snuck' past a few people there and we were making our way to the room Connie's Mom was working in. We peeked in and Connie explained what her mom was doing and asked if Steven had been to a hospital before. Apparently he hasn't.

(Y/N): "I have. I have also been to a Morgue, it's where my dad works. The skin color of the arm is that of a dead body, and not a fresh one at that. Probably about 3 or 4 weeks dead now. The only problem is, I have never seen a corpse move. Well not on it's own."

Connie and Steven looked at me for a sec, then returned their gaze to the room. We saw the sword. Connie's mother ran out of the room, something about budgets, and we snuck in. When Connie and Steven grabbed the bag, we heard the patient growling and squirming. After Connie's Mom busted us, we went into the hallway, where there was a 'patient' stumbling around. Steven saw what it was, and I looked in shock at the 'patient'.

Steven: "That's not a patient."

It growled as it started to run at us. We retreated into the room, and closed the door. Then I looked at the one that was in the bed.

(Y/N): "I think I know why that patient has the skin tone of a corpse."

Everyone looked at me, Connie's mom was about to speak up when Steven and Connie realized what I was saying. Connie started to try to wrestle the sword from her mom as the other gem mutant started to grab at Connie. Steven jumped in to save her as I stood there unsure of what to do. We burst out of the room and started to make a run for it. We were cornered as Steven made a bubble around us. Steven, Connie, and her mother started arguing.

Connie: "You don't know me at all! You still haven't even noticed my glasses!"

Connie's Mom: "What's wrong with your glasses?"

Connie: "They don't have lenses anymore! I haven't needed actual glasses for almost a year!"

Connie's Mom: "What? Your eyesight just magically got better?"

Connie: "YYYES! I have been dealing with magic and monsters and things like these since I met Steven! That's why I need you to believe that I know what to do here!"

As Connie's mother tried to understand what was happening Connie took an attack of opportunity and grabbed the sword.

Connie: "Drop the bubble."

Steven let the bubble fall as Connie had her sword ready, and Steven had his shield. As Steven held back one of the monster's Connie slashed the one behind him. She then rushed at the one that was on Steven and the did a combo attack where Steven pushed back the creature and used his shield as a spring board to launch Connie up at the monster. She swung down and barely missed, landing behind it as it turned around to go at her. I took out my karambit, wanting to help in the heat of the moment, and I rushed at the creature's back, slashing from the shoulder to the waist, causing it to poof. Steven bubbled the gems as Steven and Connie stood next to each other and then Connie looked back at her mother who was shocked beyond belief. We exited the hospital, Steven and Connie explain what they were and what happened. Then she almost ran into Lion.

Connie: "I am really sorry about lying to you. It started off as a tiny secret and then it felt like if I didn't hide it, you wouldn't let me see Steven ever again."

Connie's Mom: "Is that how you feel? Are we too controlling?"

Connie: "Maybe."

Connie's Mom: "I just wanted to be a good mother. I just wanted to be a good mother, I just wanted to protect you."

Connie: "I can protect myself now."

Connie's mother took a deep sigh, and accepted that she couldn't control or protect Connie from everything. We made it back to the Temple, where I fell asleep on the couch again, a little happy that I was able to help earlier.

~~~ Time Skip ~~~
I was trying to go to sleep when I heard Steven's Routine goodnights.
Steven: "Goodnight happy bear. Goodnight Sad Bunny. Goodnight playful Kitty. Goodnight ominous triangle at the foot of my bed."
I sat up when I heard that and then heard something run over to the circular pad at the back of the temple, and it activated. I ran to it and tried to use it to see where Steven went. There was a flash of light as I landed on the ground where a green.... dorito person was trying to get Steven to fix a much larger circular pad. The green lady was curled up and having a crisis, talking about the earth ending or something like that. Suddenly the other gems appeared and saw Steven, they rushed over to him, then saw green, unbalanced, floaty finger girl.
Garnet: "Peridot! Gems, move."
They all ran at Peridot to poof her. She was grabbed, and then exploded, bits of her everywhere unlike the other gems.
Pearl: "Wait, so these weren't actually part of her body?"
Amethyst dumped the prosthetic limbs into the ocean. As the gems brought Steven to the pad thing, they didn't notice me through the whole ordeal, or even when I snuck up behind them to catch a ride back to the temple. I got onto the couch and started to go back to sleep.
~~~ Time Skip, kind of ~~~

I woke up to a commotion of mini Peridot screaming about her freedom in front of the door.

Peridot: "Look, over there, another planet to betray."

When her attempt to distract the gems didn't work she start to run over to the stairs, next to the couch, that I was laying down on. When she climbed the stairs she saw amethyst with her whip and retreated but jumping down onto my feet and 'running' into the bathroom. I got up and walked over to where they were monitoring the situation. After the situation Steven had to get ready for the day and thought that he and I could negotiate with Peridot together. He got her foot and brought it to the bathroom door for her, luckily it worked and she opened the door for us. Peridot kept inspecting everything Steven uses and asking if it was a weapon, and Steven made the mistake as referring to the towel as a weapon when it is wet and rolled up, which prompted the Peridot to freak out. I realized I was useless in this situation and left. In time for Steven to explain to Peridot how a toilet works, and why he needs to use it.

~~~ Time Skip ~~~
I sat on the beach outside as I stared at the ocean. It started to get cloudy and rain. I sat in the rain as I enjoyed the weather. Steven came out of the house as Peridot shouted about Steven coming back in. I got up and walked to the front door and entered the house as Steven dried off.
Peridot: "Steven, I am going to say something. Thank you."
Steven: "What for?"
Peridot: "For explaining this rain business to me."
Steven: "No problem."
Peridot: "Yes, you are a much more intelligent creature than I thought."
Steven: "Uh, that's, good."
Peridot: "Yes, much more useful then those, clods. Steven, I've made up my mind."
Steven: "About what exactly?"
Peridot: "I've decided to share some, information with you."
Steven: "Eh, I know you use my toothbrush."
Peridot: "N-no. Well, yes, but it's about the cluster."
Steven: "You cracked!"
Peridot: "I haven't cracked!"
Steven got up saying that she needed to tell the gems, Peridot refused as she was pleading for Steven to take her to the kindergarden. He agreed on two conditions, 1. She would hold his hand the whole time. and 2. they would stay in my sight as I went along.
(Y/N): "Wait, I'm going?"
Steven nodded as I sighed. We transported to the kindergarden and Steven talked about how it keeps getting worse, and Peridot agreed, saying how it must have been better when we first emerged. This confused Steven and I. When Steven explained to Peridot what he was, it confused her. We slid down into an underground gem bunker thing. As Peridot explained the experiments, and what was happening here Steven got worried, we left the bunker as Peridot explain how all she needed was Stevens 'Extensive knowledge of the Earth.' We were heading back to the pad when gem mutants appeared and started to attack us. Steven made a small bubble for him and Peridot, but I wasn't in it........ I stared at Steven in disbelief and summoned my knife to do my best against the gems. They ran away while I did my best to slash the mutants and made my way to the pad, if they want to leave me, I will leave them..... to go get help. I transported myself to the temple where I saw Garnet, Pearl and Amethyst.
(Y/N): "Pad, Kindergarden. Steven. Mutants."
I then lied down, out of breathe and tired from the little sleep I had the past two days.
~~~ Time Skip ~~~

I woke up to find Peridot smashing things, and then we were taken to a barn with a bunch of junk. Peridot tried to get Pearl to leave like a butler. After a bit of Peridot explaining what Pearls were on homeworld, I realized something.

(Y/N): "HOMEWORLD IS RACIST!"

Pearl, Steven and Peridot looked at me. Peridot was utterly confused.

Peridot: "What is.... racist?"

(Y/N): "When you think your better then someone because they were born different. Like saying certain people are inferior, or can't do something just because they were born different."

Pearl seemed proud and clapped her hands.

Pearl: "Exactly (Y/N), now I hate to say it, but yes, homeworld is, racist."

Peridot: "Well it is a correct way of thinking,"

(Y/N): "BAD!"

I slapped her as she stood there utterly confused and offended.

Peridot: "How dare you violate our treaty!"

(Y/N): "Earth is our home, so you will listen to our rules. Your status as a 'Peridot' means nothing here. Consider yourself a Pearl on homeworld. Pearl here has much more experience then you do."

Peridot got angry as I walked into the barn and sat up in the rafters. I could hear that Peridot didn't listen, and they decided to settle a dispute with robots.
