I stood there in the arena halls.

Holly Green: "Wow, haven't seen you around. Thought we scared you off."

     The chuckled as I rolled my eyes.

(Y/N): "I have been training here a lot actually, maybe it's you two who were scared off. Can't handle me can you?"

Ruby: "Oh we can handle you just fine. You and your uncontrolled power."

Holly Green: "That's right, we figured out your bluff, you can only control it when you are unstable."

(Y/N): "I was about to do some weapon training, I guess, I could do some more endurance training instead, if you want to go."

     I started walking to the arena entrance, stretching my arms and legs.

Holly Green: "Nice bluffing, but you can't bluff your way out of this. We know that back then, once your little shield was down, you had no way of putting it back up. We could have attacked then and there."

(Y/N): "But you didn't. Wasn't the whole point to help train me? Not beat me up?"

Ruby: "Oh would the Diamonds really care if that happened? You and your fragile bodies, all we had to do is just throw you down a ditch and say you fell down yourself."

(Y/N): "Man, you guys are so rude. I will enjoy this. I have grown quite a bit. You guys might have had the advantage back then. But now, well, I can't wait to show my old 'mentors' how much has changed."

     We made it to the center of the arena.

(Y/N): "Don't worry, I will go easy on you. I will use a weapon, that I have never used before."

     I took out the hammer. Two fists on a spear. Interesting.

Ruby: "Don't get cocky now."

     She summoned her Spear, as Holly summoned her sword.

(Y/N): "It's only cocky if I can't back it up."

Holly Green: "Then show us what you got, unless your all talk."

(Y/N): "Oh, I am not all talk. In fact, I am nothing at all. I don't even exist."

     I teleported into my void world then behind Ruby. I swung my hammer down. She saw the shadow in time to dodge.

Holly Green: "What was that? You can't do that. How could you have possibly done that?"

     I swung my hammer, I was still slow, and I knew I couldn't handle swinging yet. My hands weren't so nimble or fast yet, so I had to stick with basic moves if I wanted to keep the hammer in my grasp.

Holly Green: "You weren't kidding were you? You are using a weapon you've never used. You're not even strong enough to use it properly. You're that cocky?"

     I took a few steps back and held the hammer in front of me. I let the head of the hammer fall, and tried to adjust my grip to allow it to rise again on the other side. I barely grabbed the handle fast enough as the hammer raised to the top. I let it drop again, the handle rotated, I adjusted my grip, the head rose. It fell, I adjusted, it rose. Again, and again, slowly getting faster and faster.

(Y/N): "I have no idea why you let me get the hang of that, but now I have basic rotation under my belt."

     I held the hammer, the head facing forward, I swung it so that the head would fall and move toward me, I angled it to the side so it would go past my side and then behind me, then over my shoulder, as I got it spinning. I changed the angle to horizontal. That's when I messed up, I didn't grab it fast enough as it fell.

(Y/N): "Well I tried. If you guys are just going to stand there and let me practice, the fight is over."

     They watched as I grabbed the hammer again and practiced rotating it, gaining momentum, and changing angles, drop, pick up, drop, pick up. I was no longer paying attention to them. So they struck. Ruby threw her javelin as Holly charged. I knew I was going to mess up with the hammer, but I still angled it in a way so that even if I did mess up, it would hit and block the javelin. I snapped, causing my aura to expand. The hammer and flown out of the aura's reach, blocking the Javelin, as Holly's sword disappeared. I took the chance to punch her in the midsection, then ramming my palm into her jaw and kicking her midsection to make her back up. I snapped the field away again, and teleported next to Ruby who had just gotten her javelin back out. I brought my hammer out, and instead of bringing it down on top of Ruby, I let it fall, going backwards, so it would hit Ruby more like a golf club swing. It hit as she was knocked back.

(Y/N): "Okay, great, but I need to get back to training, so let's either wrap this up, or you guys can just leave."

Ruby: "Like hell we are!"

(Y/N): "I manged to beat you back when I was weaker, with a hole in my chest, and my strength slowly fading. That was before I learned a bunch of new tricks, have you guys grown so much as to say you are also better then how you were before? I have mobility, and I can activated my 'shield', as you put it, at will. So, we can continue, and test your might, or you can let me train in peace."

Holly Green: "We are not going to back down. You are going to be sorry for this."

(Y/N): "If you say so. But I am getting tired of this."

     I put my hammer away and summoned my whip and my karambit. Then I hear rushed footsteps. Yellow appeared in the hallway.

Yellow: "(Y/N), stop playing around, come with me."

(Y/N): "Fine."

     I put my weapons away and followed the rushing Yellow. We made our way to the leg ship with Blue, Steven, Connie, and the destabilized gems. 

Yellow: "Here we are. Hurry get inside."

(Y/N): "Too late."

Yellow: "What do you mean?"

     There was a humming as a white bubble came out of the ground in front of us.

White Pearl: "You're not going anywhere."

     The giant white head ship started to rise. It attached itself to the pink ship. It crouched and leaned down, looking at us. It then stood up straight again.

White Pearl: "You've made a grave mistake. Go to your rooms."

Blue: "Ugh, which rooms should we go to?"

Yellow: "Blue, don't make her any angrier than she already is."

Steven: "We're busted."

Connie: "Looks like this just turned into a face off."

Steven: "Amethyst? Pearl? Garnet? Please, I think we're really in trouble. What the heck is that?"

     He pointed at the two semi repaired hand ships flying toward the white ship. The blue ship slapped the white ship, 

Steven: "Yellow, Blue, did you have a hand in this?"

Blue: "No way."

Yellow: "White, that wasn't us!"

Blue: "We swear!"

(Y/N): "What could you two be so afraid of?"

Steven: "Then who's that?"

Connie: "Who cares! Knock her out!"

     The blue ship hooked the white ship as the yellow ship upper cut.

Yellow: "Who's responsible for this?"

     The yellow ship lowered, as Bismuth exited.

Bismuth: "I always wanted to uppercut an upper crust."

     Steven and Connie made their way over to Bismuth. The Blue ship lowered as Lapis and Peridot exited.

White Pearl: "Very cute. Glad to see we're having fun. However White Diamond has certain issues with your conduct that will need to be addressed before we move forward."

Yellow: "Steven, quickly, use one of our ships to get home."

Blue: "Yes, you have another chance. Take my arm. Fly to Earth. Yellow and I will keep White distracted."

Steven: "Blue, Yellow."

Blue: "Don't worry Steven. We understand now."

Yellow: "This way of living. It must have been like torture for you. Just go, hurry she's getting up."

Steven: "No, no. I won't go. Pink Diamond ran away from you, Rose Quartz, my mom. She started a war with you, but I don't want to run. I don't want to fight, I just want to talk. We've come so far just to get White Diamond's attention. And now we finally have it. If we can fix our family, we can fix everything."

Blue: "But in order to fix it. We'd have to admit that it's broken."

Yellow: "She'll never want to hear it."

Steven: "But it's the truth."

Connie: "My mom back on Earth used to have so many rules for me to follow. It was so overwhelming and it made me feel miserable. After I told her how I was feeling, things got way better between us. She even let me come out to space to help Steven. If White knew how unhappy she made you feel, maybe everything would change."

Blue: "What do you say Yellow? Do you think White might actually listen to us for a change?"

Yellow: "It's worth a try. Lend me a hand will you Blue?"

Blue: "Okay."

     They both raised their arms, and in doing so, they raised their arm ships. The ships grappled with White. 

Yellow: "Steven, take a knee."

Steven: "Okay. White please, all we want you to do is listen."

     As White was now immobilized, Blue and Yellow attached their ships.

Steven: "That's it, come on everybody."

     We made our way onto the hands. 

Steven: "Hey White? I know I was in there with you for a second. But I barely got to talk to you at all. There are so many gems that are hurting right now. Even Blue and Yellow are hurting. You should hear what they have to say."

Yellow: "We...W,We....We need to talk! About us. I've conquered so many worlds for the sake of the empire. I do as you ask and I do it all perfectly. But your very high standards put us all under a lot of pressure. A gem could crack, under so much, pressure. We Diamonds may be hard, but we're also brittle."

Blue: "White, we used to be close, don't you remember? That Pink would make us laugh, all those silly things she did for no reason. There was a reason, she wanted us to be happy together. But we weren't and we're still not. I know my purpose isn't to be happy, but I find it harder, and harder, to enforce your rules, when they make me miserable. When they make us all miserable."

Steven: "White, please. Why don't you let us all into your head. We could come up with a plan to help everyone. You could start by helping Yellow and Blue."

     A White blast was shot from the ship's eyes. Hitting Blue and Yellow, they started to get grey and dull. The color being forced out of them by veins of grey. Veins of absence. They finally turned completely grey and white, standing straight, a smile on their face, their arms out, and a vacant look in their eyes.

Steven: "What? Guys?"

       Yellow and Blue went into a white bubble and disappeared.The ship hands started to move, Steven lost his balance as Lapis, Peridot, and Bismuth got ready to abandon ship. As we began to fall, Connie grabbed onto the trash can lid Peridot used as Bismuth was being held by Lapis. Steven tried to grab onto Connie, but the gems were lose, and started to fall out of his grip. I jumped down, landing on the ground where they were falling as Steven jumped after them. He grabbed Amethyst and fused with her. Steven unfused with Amethyst and went to Pearl, fusing into someone else. He landed with his umbrella.

???: "Now that's two stones, with one bird."

     Pearl and Steven unfused.

Amethyst: "Wow, nice form Pearl."

Pearl: "Oh, thank you. I am particularly excited about the jacket. AHH Steven, we fused!"

Connie: "Are you guys okay?"

Steven: "Almost, Garnet, we're up against a giant robot, we need your help, please come out. I'm here, I love you!"

     He brought the stones to his chest and started to fuse, a shining light of flames. As the shape was being taken, Pink's foot came down. I teleported out just in time but I couldn't get them fast enough. Which would have been a problem if the new fusion didn't start lifting the foot.

Sunstone: "Aaaaaaahhhh yeah. You bettah step uoff. Chillaxe my dudes. Your rockin' pal sunstone is holdin' it down."

     Pearl, Amethyst, and Connie were excited with the new fusion.

Peridot: "Unbelievable."

Sunstone: "Oh you bettah believe it."

Peridot: "Okay."

Connie: "Sunstone, what are we gonna do? White Diamond is never gonna listen, and she's never going to let us leave."

Sunstone: "If she won't listen, we'll make her listen."

Amethyst: "And how are we gonna do that?"

Sunstone: "I know she's in there. We'll bust into her head and change her mind. Let's take that bully down. But remember kids, if you have to deal with a bully, be sure to tell an adult."

     She grabbed Pearl and Amethyst. Then she started to run toward the giant legs. 

Sunstone: "Kids, don't try this at home."

     She made a pair of suction cups and started scaling the legs. As she was getting higher, Yellow's hand swatted her off. Garnet and Steven unfused.

Garnet: "We need to be bigger."

Steven: "Then let's fuse. All four of us. It's the only way we're gonna get up to her head."

Amethyst: "I'm in!"

Pearl: "I'm in too."

Garnet: "Then it's decided. It's time to form obsidian."

     The all danced, making their way to a center. Creating a pyramid before fusing, forming a ball, that slowly got larger and larger, and then arms formed, many, many arms formed. She took shape, and materialized, she was a large black figure, with orange cracks of magma. But something was wrong, I had a small headache, my gem, it felt like it wanted to jump out of my skull. I ignored the pain as I watched. They let out a roar.

Peridot: "They're huge."

     Pink's foot came down as Obsidian jumped. Grabbing onto the ship and climbing. Blue's hand swatted at them, but they changed legs.

Connie: "Guys, we gotta do something to keep those hands off of them."

Bismuth: "Right, but first. I made you a little something."

     She handed Connie a new and improved Pink sword.

Connie: "My own sword? It's perfect."

Bismuth: "Let's show White Diamond we mean Bismuth."

     They flew up. Connie and Bismuth slashed at the metal, cutting into it. Lapis and Bismuth were swatted out o the skies. Peridot and Connie followed. I teleported to the shoulder of the ship.

(Y/N): "Man, they sure were annoying, am I right?"

     The head turned to me before swatting at the shoulder. I teleported to the other one.

(Y/N): "Yeesh, tough crowd, I got the message."

     I teleported down. Obsidian had managed to catch Connie mid fall. I watched as obsidian formed a sword hilt from all the other gem weapons and opened one of it's mouths with a screech, showing flowing lava inside. Shoving the hilt into her mouth, she did a reverse sword swallow act. A large rune filled blade of heat was produced. Easily slicing through the arms, taking off the hands as they tried to swat her off. She used the sword as a platform and jumped straight to the white face. The robot stumbled and fell into a building, face first, having obsidian take the full force and causing a defusion. But as they defused, I felt a pulse of pain in my gem. I small burst of heat and aura was produced, until I felt extremely rejuvenated. I watched as Steven, Garnet, Pearl and Amethyst were crawling to the eye. I followed, teleporting onto the thing platform that was the lid and crawled in after them. We made it into the room. White, Yellow, and Blue stood there.

Steven: "White Diamond."

White: "Oh starlight. What are you doing crawling in here? You want your legs back? You want your planet back? Surely you can understand why I can't let you leave."

Steven: "White Diamond, my name is Steven Universe. I'm here to-"

     White Pearl dropped down.

White: "My my. We've been causing quite a scene haven't we?"

Steven: "What have you done to them? They're-"

White: "Sshhh. Poor Yellow. Her impurities absorb all the blue in her light. She's so strong, but so weak when it comes to Blue. Ah, and Blue, her impurities soak up all the warmth in her spectrum. She thinks she needs you Pink. As for me? I'm certain that I don't need you. After all I am every color of the Light. But you're apart of me. The part I always have to repress."

Amethyst: "Dude, what is she even talking about? This is nonsense."

White: "Oh, hello there. Your new friends are so funny. Is that what they're supposed to be? Funny?"

     She let out a beam of light from her eyes, hitting Amethyst. She fell to the ground.

Amethyst: "Hey White dirt wad, is that all you got?"

     The grey spread throughout her like Yellow and Blue.

Garnet: "Leave her alone!"

     She then hit Garnet.

Pearl: "Stop!"

    She then hit Pearl.

White: "It's a pity the way you bring out the worst in others. See how you've encouraged their deficiencies? It's written all over their gems. Insecure, dependent, obsessed."

Steven: "No no no. Guys! Come on snap out of it."

     I stood forward. Holding my hand out to Pearl, extending my aura to her. But nothing happened. I turned to White.

(Y/N): "Okay. So, if they show independence, you make them apart of you? You take control? If you think this is happiness, if you think this is perfection. You are surely mistaken you damn tyrant."

White: "Oh, quite the mouth on this one."

     She shot a beam at me. I felt my gem get hit. I went to my knees, something felt off, I wasn't being turned, but my gem was doing something. Keeping me still, unable to move.

White: "Peculiar, well, once this is over, I will dispose of them. Now stop trying to help them, you'll only make things worse, Pink. That's what you do. I make things better."

     She snapped her fingers. Amethyst looked up at Steven.

White Amethyst: "Oh thank you White Diamond. I feel excellent now."

     Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl all got up.

White Amethyst: "Oh thank you, how generous of you."

White Garnet: "Thank you White Diamond. We feel so much better now."

White Pearl #2: "I feel excellent."

White Diamond: "There we are. I've removed their flaws. Now there is nothing hindering my white light from sparkling through them. I'd rather not spread my uninhibited self so thin you know. But you've made it absolutely necessary. Now the impurities you've encouraged in them are gone. Now they are brilliant. Now they are perfect. Now they are me."

Steven: "You're wrong. Please just listen to me. My friends don't need to be fixed. They're fine the way they are. Flaws and all."

White: "There you go again. Do you know why you defend their flaws? I know why Pink. You like surrounding yourself with inferior gems."

Steven: "What?"

White: "You enable their terrible behavior so you can be the best of the worst."

Steven: "That's not true. And even if it is. Even if it was, you're talking about my mom. You're not talking about me."

White: "Your mom?"

     Connie jumped into the room.

Connie: "Don't worry guys, I'm here."

     Connie was just fast enough to block Pearl's spear.

Connie: "Pearl?"

Steven: "Connie?"

White: "Well, what have we here? It's another one of your pets."

     Steven tried to rush over and help Connie but was held back by Garnet and Amethyst. Connie was grabbed and held captive by Pearl.

Steven: "Let her go."

White: "These worthless gems weren't enough were they? See how you surround yourself with lower life forms? You smothered yourself in them. It feels good doesn't it Pink? Dulling your power, hiding your face, blaming everything on someone else. You became Rose Quartz, to deceive your pathetic friends, and now you've improved on that because you're even deceiving yourself."

Steven: "No, you're wrong. I'm not my mom!"

White: "But don't you know things about her that you couldn't possibly
