Students flooded the busy halls making their way to their respective classes. My next period would be History. I had this class with the stern Ms. Holly Blue Agate. History was meant to teach us of our ancestors errors and to revise the written destiny of our future. I wasn't the most avid fan of this class yet some people were agog to know more. I couldn't understand their enthusiasm for this but again, I was utterly obsessed with Computer Science. Thinking about it, they're somewhat similar. I couldn't comprehend their connection but I could care less.

I entered the crowded classroom and a paper airplane had struck my temple. A good amount of the seats in front were occupied, I could easily guess who had thrown the folded paper. This was normal. I stopped in my tracks to pick up the fallen paper. I obtained the now crumpled paper and shoved it into my pocket. I could hear murmurs and whispers of me. I wasn't even surprised at their insults.

"If you're going to insult me, make it good. Your insults are worse than my reputation." I uttered whilst pointing to some guy. I heard 'ohhh's and 'ayyyy's from students around him. He looked ashamed as I walked past him.

I made my way to the back of the room. The area of outcasts, as some put it. I placed my bag on a chair near the corner and perched myself on the space that remained. I observed the mess that was our classroom. History heads reading through advanced material, jocks coercing nerds to help them and some regular students hanging around. I took out my notebook and book to review the next subject matter. I scribbled down important points that we were to discuss. Some time had passed until Ms. Agate had arrived. She connected her laptop to the projector which shone a powerpoint presentation she had prepared. She was known to the students for the huge joke of her twin "drills" hairstyle and her "thicc ahem".

She was rambling on and on about the gem war, an event that changed history and the world. The breaking point of our background, the occurrence that destroyed houses and places. One of those of houses was Pink's adoption home. A game changer for the past. The rebellion and the uprising of the 'lower class'. She began to speak about the leader of the rebellion, Rose Quartz.

"SORRY I'M LATE MA'AM!" A voice boomed from the entrance of the room unit we were in. She had interrupted the lesson, earning giggles and snickers from around the room. I was alarmed enough and so was Ms. Agate. I looked at who had caused such a ruckus. She was an acquaintance of mine, I recognized her. It was the tan bluenette named Lapis Lazuli. Her clothes seemed altered from earlier to which I assumed was the reason she happened to be late. She had worn an azure blue flannel atop her blank tan top which was wet for some odd reason. That simple detail revealed to me the possible scenario of a stupid sort. I'd prefer not to think about it during class. I had no care for what had transpired before her arrival.

"Take a seat Ms. Lazuli." Holly Blue Agate instructed her. I saw a smirk pasted onto the late student's face. I felt a wave of worry wash over me. I had great reason to, which only made me fret worse than I am enduring. As my perturbed mind reckoned, she took the seat that was next to mine. I had only and finally realized, the chair next to me was the only empty seat.

Ms. Agate continued with her presentation. I took a glance at the bluenette seated next to me and observed her . Her hair was still wet despite attempts of drying it just like her tank top. She had ocean blue eyes with waves crashing around. She was a sight to look at. I looked at her face and she had a stupid grin on her face.

"Lovin' the view?" Lazuli laughed, earning me a bright pink tint across my face. I disregarded the rest of her joking remarks. I decided to bring the rest of my attention to the bigger matter at hand, a history task. It was to be presented by the end of the week.

"You must devise a presentation about the gem war and important occasions during this phase. All whilst meeting the rubrics of this." She dictated, tapping away on her laptop to change slides in her powerpoint. A chart was projected onto the whiteboard as she wrote on the board information concerning each rubric. "This will be done by partners."

"Ah fuck." I uttered out loud. Students began to scurry around to their chosen partners. Most of which just wanted to pair with their significant other or their best friends. I checked my left and saw Lazuli, staying in place. "Aren't you going to find your partner?"

"Nah." She replied, facing me and having a smirk pasted on her face.

"Who's your partner then?"

"You." She chuckled. This woman is going to drive me insane. If insanity was a place, she'd have forcefully strapped me into a car and was driving me to that exact place. To make it worse, she was driving it in a way that it felt excruciatingly slow but was driving at a mad fast speed. It was like she was hastening the process. "Imma go with ya to your house later." She said as the bell rang and she stood up.

"Class dismissed." And with that note, I left to go to the next class that would go slow and drive me to boredom.

To math class, I go.

I was stopped in my tracks as if I was to enter the treasure room and was stopped to have the final boss battle. It was Hessonite. A tall blonde that was part of the Aquamarine's entourage. She had not spoken a single word but instead gave me a mischievous grin that sent a shiver down my spine and spit down my throat. She got me into the clinic once and let's say, history teaches us a thing or two in situations similar to one I am currently facing. I handed her a set of papers and she had disappeared into the classroom I was to enter. I looked around and saw no sign of life in the halls. I got up and went inside the room that Hessonite had entered. After the ordeal I've had to deal with, Math went by quicker than what I had been expecting.

The next classes were Chemistry and Biology. I had Chemistry with Rainbow Quartz, people here have weird names. I'm not the only one, and that makes it weirder. We tackled the basics of matter reactivity. My Biology teacher was Ms. Smoky. Weird names everywhere and the coincidental name of this school does not help in any way. We had a test that I had aced because of late night studying. It was about organisms and such. To think about it, those teachers shared the same surname. Could they be related of some sort? They looked completely different though. Ms. Smoky was short and tan along with brown hair, was quite chubby and had light freckles on her cheeks. In contrast, Ms. Rainbow, was tall and skinny with pale skin and white hair with a variety of highlights in her hair. Anyways, I had tech next. In other words, COMPUTER SCIENCE TIME. It was my favorite subject.

I rushed to the computer lab and almost tripped as I made my way. The teacher in charge of my beloved subject was Ms. Alexandrite. She was colossal when compared to me in height. She had green hair and wore darkly tinted glasses. I finished in each activity first amongst all. I even did extra work and completed the most complex codes and instructions. I had already known this beforehand. The class had gone by and it was now English time. It was 4:30 in the afternoon.

I stepped foot in the class and was greeted by the comforting atmosphere of this class. It was Mrs. Fluorite's class, meaning violence was not to be tolerated. Most especially less social students like me and a group called the off-colors. She liked that group. I took my seat in the same place as always, the back. The teacher had arrived and began her lesson shortly after. I saw a bluenette around the front seats but I had dedicated my attention to Mrs. Fluorite's words.

. . .

I was making my way to my car when I heard a barrage of footsteps behind me. I looked back and was greeted by the water witch named Lazuli.

"Lazuli." I said as she panted from all her running.

"Can I stay over for the History thing?" I nodded in reply as I got in the driver's seat with her riding shotgun. "I'm skipping swimming practice today for this, y'know."

I glanced at my watch. 5:15PM. I had study hall next which I could care less for. I never attend it and the teachers never bothered. I had good enough grades that I didn't need it. Of course, unless you had extra-curricular activities then you were exempted. An example being Lazuli, a swimmer.

We arrived at my residence after a few minutes of driving. I grabbed my backpack and took my keys as we made our way to the entrance. I unlocked it with my keys and we stepped foot inside. I turned on the AC as she sat down on the couch. I let my bag down and took out my history materials and she took out her own. As much as I would have preferred to work by myself, I had no choice but to cooperate with her

. . .

Two hours had passed and we were done with our task and all we had to do next was prepare presenting. We had written down what we were to say and I handed Lazuli her copy. I ordered some pizza for the both of us. We were eating while the TV made noise from the news channel.

"So Peridot... what do you want to watch?"

"Nothing, you can change the channel if you desire to do so."

"Ah." So she had changed the channel a few times before staying on one specific show. Today was its 40-minute special.

"YOU LIKE CAMP PINING HEARTS?!" We both asked simultaneously. We had huge smiles on our faces as the show began to play. We finished the pizza and I threw it in the trash bin. We both were facing the TV screen.

"I had no idea you were into this." Lazuli said as the intro began.

"Didn't even know you had even a minuscule of interest." I replied.

"Well I'll have you know that Paulette is a great character wether you are an avid fan or not."

"Fortunately for me, Pierre is much better at ruling a camp. Even better if it was with Percy."

"Excuse me? Percy X Paulette is OTP."

"You are excused for believing that."

"Good to know that Percy might give you a friendship bracelet."

We both laughed, filling the room with a joyous air as we watched the show together. She snorted with each joke I made. See? I'm funny! The room felt light-hearted until the show had ended. We spent an hour or two to binge watch 2 seasons. After that, we decided to sleep already. We were in my room and I had offered for Lazuli to sleep in my bed. I was on the floor with some blankets and a pillow. Lazuli took a half bath and just borrowed a hoodie of mine. I had worn black sweatpants and a green T-shirt.

It was silent.

I didn't feel lonely.

I've gotten so used to it, I forgot how great it was like this.

I was sure Lazuli was still awake.

It was quite late by now.
