Song for the chapter: Secret Love Song-- Little Mix ft. Jason Derulo
Bianca spent the remainder of the day working on her homework. There wasn't much left because she'd already been dedicating most of her free time to getting it done. When she finished it, she decided to write in her journal. She still wrote in it occasionally, but lately, her therapy sessions had been about Cassie. Bianca decides to write a long entry about the boy who had been in the back of her mind for weeks.
All the things I wanted to say but never did
Bianca pours her heart out, she doesn't censor herself, she doesn't hold back. The only way to work through these feelings was to put them all out there. Maybe one day she could give it to him and he would understand like he always does. He would know that Bianca wasn't trying to be cruel and she missed him. She missed him more than anything in the world.
Bianca didn't regret kissing him though, as selfish as it was. When she kissed George she felt truly alive for the first time in a long time. Yes, she'd had several happy moments with her friends, but they were nothing compared to when her and George's lips connected. It felt like she was seeing color for the first time. Everything was perfect, everything finally made sense. Which made Bianca all the more frustrated, why couldn't it be like that all the time? Bianca rests her head on the journal in distress.
The door creaks open and Bianca looks up quickly. She had been crying so she quickly wipes her face. A familiar ginger-haired boy enters the room. He looks just as sad as Bianca, and he has deep purple rings under his eyes.
"Missed you today in Hogsmeade," George says coming to sit next to her on the bed. "I've missed you a lot since New Year's actually."
Bianca gives him a watery smile. "I've been trying to give you space," she admits hiding behind her hair.
"Well, Miss Lestrange, space is the last thing I want from you," George says reaching to tuck the piece of hair behind her ear. "No more hiding okay?"
Bianca nods slowly. Her eyes meet George's and she can't help but smile. She really has missed this boy. "George, I'm so sorry."
"There's nothing to be sorry about. We're okay Bianca, we're like magnets, we'll just keep gravitating back to each other," George says moving his hand from the side of her face down her cheek gently. He stops under her chin, his eyes dart down to her lips for a second before looking back into her eyes.
"Oh come here," she says letting all of her inhibitions go. She closes the distance between their lips. They crash together in a mixture of passion and longing. His lips are as soft as last time but more aggressive. They move with hers in perfect harmony.
"Bianca!" a voice calls. Bianca opens her eyes to see that she is still laying in her bed. She lifts her head which had been stuck to a page of her journal due to her tears. Her heart sinks as she realized it was all a dream. Juniper is standing above her with her arms crossed. "Where were you today?"
"I had a lot of homework to get done," Bianca replies groggily grabbing her journal and holding it up to show Juniper. She sits up in her bed and stretches.
"Bullshit, all you've been doing is homework," Juniper says sounding angry. "What's going on?"
"Not right now Juni," Bianca says sadly leaning back against the wall. She was tired and sad from her dream. She didn't have the energy to get into a fight with another one of her best friends.
Juniper's face softened as she saw Bianca looking exhausted. She frowns as she comes to sit next to the girl. "Are you okay Bee?"
Bianca leans her head on Juniper's shoulder. Juniper's blond curls tickle Bianca's cheek but Bianca doesn't mind. She was just happy the girl was here to comfort her. "I'm fine."
"No, you're not," Juniper says sadly. "I've noticed you've been withdrawn lately. I didn't want to say anything, hoping you'd bounce back to normal. The others have noticed it too. You don't have to tell me, but I'm always here for you."
Bianca starts crying again, but this time it's ugly. All the things she's been avoiding feeling these past few weeks have finally come out. The tears flow freely and Bianca doesn't try to stop them. A loud sob escapes her lips and she just shakes her head letting it all out. Juniper is quick to pull Bianca into an embrace. She holds her tightly, rubbing her back. This just makes Bianca cry harder, as she thinks of the times George did that for her.
It doesn't take long for Bianca to exhaust herself and stop crying. When she does, Juniper doesn't try to ask her what it was all about. She doesn't give her any pitying looks. Juniper was good at that, she always knew exactly how to respond to Bianca. The girls were so alike, that they always knew exactly what the other needed.
"I love you no matter what," Juniper says holding Bianca by her shoulders.
"Always and forever," Bianca smiles back. They used to say it to each other when they were little and felt sad about their families. It was nice to know, the words still held the power they did then. It was so much more than the little utterance, it had power behind the words.
"Are you going to detention tonight?" Juniper asks after a moment of silence.
Bianca looks up at the clock to see that her detention had started twenty minutes ago. "Shit," she curses before hurrying out of the dorm. She wiped at her face as she ran through the halls to Moody's office. Moody and Cassie would both be pissed that Bianca was late. When she got there, they were both talking to each other quietly. Their heads snapped up when she entered the room.
"Sorry I'm late," she says in what was hopefully an even tone.
"Don't be next time," Moody dismisses. "Since you guys have finished circling all the As and Es in this book, I'm going to have you do something different." He flicks his wand at a cabinet in the corner of the room and a huge stack of papers soar over to the table. They land with a thud in front of the girls. "You'll be grading exams for me, and any other teachers that need help. No magic."
"You look like shit," Cassie says once Moody had left and they had started grading the exams.
Bianca turns to her to see that she didn't have the evil glint in her eyes that usually came with Cassie's remarks. It looked like she was just making a statement, even if it was rude. "It's been a long week," Bianca shrugs turning back to the papers.
They don't say anything else for a while until Cassie breaks the silence once again. "What were you talking about when you said it was funny coming from me, about your family?" Cassie's voice was so insecure and unsure, Bianca almost didn't believe the words had come from her. Cassie was always so sure of herself and cunning, there was no way she could so scared.
Bianca turned to her and saw that she was looking down at the papers. Her eyes were slightly cloudy as she did. Her hands were under the table wringing themselves together. It was something Bianca did when she was nervous as well. That's when she realized they were more alike than she thought. They were both scared and unsure, Cassie just coped in a different way. Bianca felt for the girl. For the first time, she felt herself sympathizing with Cassie.
"Forget it," Cassie snaps shaking her head and grabbing the quill again. "Moody told me you'd be able to help, but obviously he was wrong."
"Is that what you guys were talking about when I came in?" Bianca asks, finally finding her voice.
"Yeah, he was saying we have a lot of things in common. I should try talking to you, you could help me," she said in a softer tone.
"He was right," Bianca whispers. "We have tons in common."
"How is that? The only thing we have in common is being from Britain."
"I thought you lived in France?" Bianca asks slightly confused.
"Yeah I live in France, but I was adopted from Britain when I was little. Hence the accent," Cassie explains, a hint of her old attitude in her voice. "How is you questioning me considered helping?"
"You're a little impatient huh?" Bianca smirks before turning back to her work.
The door opens behind them and Bianca is relieved. She wasn't ready to open that can of worms with Cassie yet. The girls turn to see Professor McGonagall standing in the doorway. She's wearing her usual green robes with moon and star designs on them. "Good evening girls," she says with a curt nod to each of them. "I've talked to Professor Moody already, Bianca I'll need you to come with me and Cassie you're free to go back to your carriage."
Bianca is confused but doesn't question McGonagall releasing them from detention early. She follows Professor McGonagall from Moody's office to her office and waits expectantly for her to explain what's going on. When they finally get to the office, Hermione and Ron are sitting in two of the chairs. There is also a little blonde girl who looks similar to Fleur Delacour.

A rush of cold air hits Bianca as regains consciousness. On instinct, she begins treading water since she is in a lake. She turns to see that Cedric is holding onto her and pulling her towards a dock. It was several stories high and packed with students and Professors. This must be the second task.
"What's going on?" she pants. She was having trouble catching her breath from the combination of the cold air and treading water.
"Up you go," Cedric says grabbing her waist and hoisting her up onto the dock. Bianca quickly clambers onto the wood, the cold air hitting her like tiny needles. She turns and offers Cedric her hand to help him get on the dock as well.
Immediately, Bianca and Cedric are being handed towels by Professors. Madam Pomfrey hurries over to them and checks to make sure they're both okay. Cedric got a more thorough check over than Bianca since he was the one who did all the work. As this happens, Cedric explains to her that the second task was to retrieve something from the bottom of the lake. Cedric had to retrieve Bianca because she was valuable to him.
"Well, thanks for saving me," Bianca shivers, wrapping herself tighter in her blanket.
"You'll have to wait just a minute," Professor Flitwick says rather loudly.
Bianca turns to see Juniper trying to shove past him with Lee, Amy, and the twins right behind her. She smiles at the sight of them. Once Cedric receives the okay from Madam Pomfrey, Bianca's friends swarm her. Juniper is the first to reach Bianca and immediately pulls her into a long hug.
"Oh my god Bianca I was so worried about you," Juniper gushes. "Oh my god you must be freezing, let me get you some tea."
She disappears again and Amy is the next one to embrace Bianca. She just holds Bianca in a hug for a long moment. When she pulls away there's a satisfied smile on her face. Lee goes next congratulating her on not dying. Next is Fred who hugs her then ruffles her hair saying he knew she could float there and wait for Cedric.
Finally, George comes over to Bianca. He hesitates for a fraction of a second before pulling Bianca into an embrace. His hugs still have the same effect on her. George pulls away after a moment and gives her a small smile.
"I'm glad you're okay Bianca," he says simply.
Before Bianca can say anything, Juniper is back and she's carrying a cup with a tea bag hanging out. She hands it to Bianca then begins interrogating her about her time in the water. Once the other champions start surfacing, the teachers shoo them away to stand with the other observers.
Bianca takes this opportunity to go stand by Cedric. "So I'm your muse huh?" she teases nudging him slightly with her shoulder.
"Now I don't know if I'd say all that," Cedric laughs and slings an arm around her shoulder so they're sharing his large blanket. "You've definitely helped me a lot this year though, with everything. Thanks for always being there for me."
"Anytime Mr. Champion," Bianca smiles laying her head on his shoulder.
