I woke up with my head on Acacia's chest. She noticed I was awake and pressed a light kiss to my brow. I moved to kiss her properly, but I winced. She chuckled when I looked down. My entire body was wrapped in bandages. I looked around and noticed we weren't in the dorms. In fact, this room looks awfully familiar.

"We're in the light realm." Acacia spoke. "You and Lara needed serious medical attention."

"How were the others?"

"My family suffered no injuries. We lost few and none were people we personally knew."

"Kiki?"

"She... we don't know." Acacia sighed. "They tracked her to Pennsylvania, but no one has made contact with her. It seems the girl she was worried about is fine, so..." Acacia shrugged. "I think they're sending an angel to check on her... I believe it's Ash, but I'm not sure."

"Got it."I fully sat up. "So all that's left is to return to Croatia." I stretched.

"I think the angels would like to send us off before we leave."

Acacia led me to the bathroom to freshen up. She had to help me bathe since I was still badly injured. I scoffed when she showed me a wheelchair. I refused to use anything besides Acacia. She giggled and gave me a piggyback ride.

Acacia walked us to the conference room. My parents were speaking with Adira and Ken. They stopped and sent me soft smiles. I waved, but then cursed at the pain. My maman chuckled and motioned me to sit next to her. She looked worse for wear, but still acted like everything was fine.

Ken rested her head on her father's shoulder. I saw Adira's hand firmly clasped in the man's hand. I get the impression they had been separated for a while. That's nice that they can finally reunite.

"Adira was telling us what happened to Lilitu." My mum spoke.

"Yes, Ajax and the guards placed the coffin in a secure vault. The key is also placed in an unknown location." Adira spoke. "Several fake copies of keys were made and distributed throughout the realms. Because of that, no one knows who has the real key, making the location hidden."

"That's good." I breathed out. "Any chance of her rising again?"

"One can never be certain, but it's impossible without the key." Nyx spoke. "I think we defeated her for real this time." She smiled.

"Thank God!" Ken exclaimed. "I can't imagine fighting her again."

"She's gone for good." My maman spoke. "I think it's time for us to return." She motioned for us to stand up.

"Yes!" Adira stood. "Thank you all for your help."

She smiled at my maman. My maman rolled her eyes and went to hug the woman. Adira smiled even wider and hugged her tight. Ken and Nyx came to give Acacia and I hugs.

"We're always here for you." Nyx smiled.

"Don't hesitate to ask... and maybe we can all get together again." Ken giggled.

"And don't forget to visit." I hugged them back.

"Thanks." Nyx spoke to Acacia.

"Anytime, demonic one." Acacia teased and hugged Nyx.

"Alrighty, elfy." Nyx rolled her eyes.

We spent the rest of our time saying farewell to the angels. After our goodbyes, we walked through the barrier. Yep, the barriers have been fixed and are back to their normal positions. That means that we can simply walk through the borders and they won't change or disappear on us again!

My maman opened a portal for us to arrive back in Italy. Acacia's grip tightened on my hand. I sighed and looked at my confused parents.

"I want to stay in Croatia." They were shocked. "I have a reason and a sense of belonging." I smiled at my wife. "This is the first time I can confidently say that I'm fine and I can survive on my own." Acacia kissed my cheek.

"You're all grown up." My mum sniffled and hugged me. "My heart is swelling at your confidence."

"You grew up before our eyes. We found you as a scared, self conscious girl. And now... you are more mature and can survive on your own." My maman proudly smiled. "We're so proud of you, petite chou."

"Remember, we're a portal away." My mum smiled and yanked me into a hug. My maman chuckled and joined the hug. "And you Acacia..." Acacia stiffened at my mum's address. "You're family now, so bring it in." Acacia smiled and joined the family hug. "Love you, little dove."

"I love you guys too."

After we cried for a bit, my maman and I opened two different portals: one to Italy and the other to Croatia. I waved goodbye and grabbed Acacia's hand. We walked through the Croatia portal and arrived at the school. We walked hand in hand towards the school and ran into our friends. My friends were curious where I disappeared to while Acacia' friends held knowing looks.

Acacia and her friends were able to distract my friends. We walked off when I noticed a familiar figure by the trees. I made up an excuse and told Acacia I'd be right back. She looked at me weirdly, so I gestured to where Naomi was. She rolled her eyes and told me to meet her by the beach later. I kissed her and then walked to Naomi.

"Hey." Naomi whispered.

"Hey." I whispered back.

"I heard from my demon friends what happened and I'm glad you're alright." I smiled at her. "I wanted to tell you to your face that I'm gonna be taking some time off." I sighed. "I need some time to myself before I can- Ya."

"I'm sorry you're doing this because of me."

"I'm sorry that you went through so much because of me." We chuckled. "I'll always love you, Zena." She bitterly smiled. "It hurts that you're not with me, but I want you to be happy. And if she makes you happier than I do..." She sniffled. "Then I'm glad."

"Naomi, I never meant to hurt you."

"And I never meant to hurt you either." She sighed. "Take care, amore."

"Take care, Mimi." I hugged her goodbye.

I sighed when Naomi teleported away. I remembered about my meeting with Acacia, so I turned to walk in that direction. I felt my pocket buzz, so I pulled out my phone. I smiled when I saw the message: Vera and Ellio were planning to transfer here! I couldn't wait.

I picked up Acacia's scent and raced to the beach. I surprised her by picking her up and spinning her around.

"What's got you so happy?" She giggled.

"V and El are coming here!" She looked just as excited as me. "I'm gonna have all my favorite people here!" I kissed her.

"You get Vera, Ellio, Hailey, and my brothers." Acacia held my face. "I'm so in love with you."

I thought after Naomi, I would never experience love again. I thought I was undeserving of the feeling and that it was something I'd never be able to achieve. I thought everyone would choose me last, not first. As I gazed at the woman in front of me, I realized something. Naomi was my first love. She'll always hold a special place in my heart. But Acacia... sheesh. That woman is something else. Not only does she claim my heart, but she's my last, most intense, and greatest love. The love of my life. Damn... she was definitely worth the wait.

"I love you even more, my ethereal elf." I deeply kissed her.

Noooooooooo! Baby Z is all grown up and I don't know how to cope! It was honestly so cathartic to wrap up the series with this. Z started out as a scared girl with no confidence and then blossomed into a kind girl. I'm honestly so proud of Z's maturity.

Here's a little secret... I was originally planning on killing Lara or Naomi. I quickly scraped that idea since death is arbitrary in this universe since they can always resurrect a person. And then I was like... there would be a riot if I dare hurt our precious  Lara, so I was like nevermind lol

I've received many requests to include an Acacia chapter, but the diva herself wouldn't be subjected to only one chapter lol. Because of that, I'll be doing bonus chapters which will include the events from her perspective. Don't know when that update will be since I'll de taking a break from the series... I think I wanna work on another project (don't know when that would be done and def don't know when that would be released). 

How would you guys feel about a Kikimora book? I can tell you that the heroine (obvi not Kiki) will be drastically differ from the heroines in the other books. This heroine will have some disabilities. Yay for representation! Anywho...
