A few days later, Olivia was released from the hospital. She sat on the couch rereading the list of instructions on the paper in front of her, making sure she wasn't missing anything. Her only concern right now was her babies and getting them here safe and sound.

“Do you need anything, Liv?” Elliot asked softly as he stared at her.

“No, um, I think we’re good. I need to go to the pharmacy later to get some prenatal’s.” Olivia said softly.

Elliot smiled softly, knowing she was at least trying to be okay with this. He sat down next to her as her eyes scanned the paper once more. “Are you alright?” He asked softly.

She sighed. “I'm not sure, this is just so wierd. This isn’t how I wanted to have my first baby, well, babies, but they are so innocent, Elliot. They didn't ask to be born into this situation,” Olivia balled up her fist, clenching it against her stomach as she continued. “But I'm so fucking scared I'm gonna end up like my mother.” Her breathing was heavy as she sat there, trying to even it out. “I'm just like her, Elliot.” She whispered as she tried her best not to cry.

“Olivia,” Elliot whispered.

“But I love them, Elliot. I guess I didn't realize it until the hospital. I just don't want to screw them up.” She said softly.

“Liv, give yourself a little more credit. You are not going to mess them up and you are 100% different from your mother. You are amazing with kids, so nurturing. Your babies are so lucky to have you as their mother, Liv. Yes, I will agree that the situation sucks but these babies are blessings from the horror you endured. They will be your reason to get up in the morning. Your reason to breathe. Don’t ever think you’re going to fail, Liv. I'm going to be by your side every step of the way.”

Olivia sighed. “Well, at least one of us knows what we’re doing. You have experience,” she said.

Elliot smiled. “Why don't we go ahead and get your prenatal’s,” he suggested as he reached for her hand over the console, feeling as it shook. He didn't say anything, instead he rubbed his thumb over her knuckles in an attempt to soothe her.

Her eyes scanned the shelves of bottles and she hadn’t realized just how many brands there were.

“Elliot, how do I know which one to get?” She asked, a little overwhelmed.

“Um, Kathy usually did this so I'm not sure.” He admitted as he started going through each brand comparing them, mumbling to himself and saying some stuff outloud. He hadn’t noticed that she slipped away.

“Liv?”He called out when he finally noticed. She wasn't anywhere in the aisle. His eyebrows knit in confusion. “Liv....” he scanned up and down the aisles looking for her. When he finally found her, his lips drew up into a smile, walking up behind her.

“What do you think about this? It’s really adorable.” She was holding up a little pink onesie that read “tiny, but perfect.’

“It is really cute but isn't it a little early?” Elliot asked gently.

Olivia shrugged, turning to put it back on the rack. “Yeah, but I have a feeling at least one of them is a girl.” She said with a smile.

Elliot chuckled. “You’re amazing, you know that?”

Olivia sighed. “I wanna be the best mom I can, Elliot. I know I wasn't super thrilled at first but now, im kind of excited.” She admitted with a soft smile.

“Come, we can look at more stuff. You’re gonna need double of everything.” Elliot said as they started walking through the store.

They scanned the aisles, Olivia making a mental note of any items she might want to purchase later. She listened as Elliot talked about what she would need and what items were life savers for him. They went and looked at the cribs, Olivia's eyes stopping at a rustic oak crib that absolutely took her breathe away. She ran her fingers up and down the rail, imagining her sweet babies curled up asleep inside.

“It’s beautiful, Liv,” Elliot whispered, “and your style.”

“I’m gonna need a bigger place,” she laughed.

“Your apartment will be fine for now, you have an extra bedroom.” Elliot said.

“I’m using that for storage right now, where am I gonna put all that stuff?” She sighed. She looked up at him, trying to figure out how she was feeling. She knew deep down she was terrified. “I feel like I should be starting to stock up,” she chuckled.

“Well, you can never have enough diapers,” Elliot smiled.

She walked into the second bedroom, looking at the piles of boxes that filled it. She had a long project ahead of her but she was excited to see the end result. She placed the plastic bags of items she had bought down by the door, having nothing to put them in at the moment.

“Here, Liv,” Elliot said, handing her the bottle of prenatal's.

She smiled softly, heading to place them on the counter in the kitchen. She walked over to the couch, turning the tv on, Elliot taking a seat next to her.

“What were the twins like as babies?” Olivia whispered.

Elliot chuckled. “Well, they were never in sync. If one was asleep, the other one wasn't. I don’t think Kathy and I got any sleep the first year. But it’s worth it, beyond worth it.”

Olivia sighed. “It’s going to be a long journey,” she whispered, “but it’s going to be worth it.” She finished with a nod and a soft smile.

Later that night, Olivia was asleep in her bed, her pillow becoming drenched in sweat. She was laying in her hospital bed, her wrists handcuffed to the bed rails, tears streaming down her cheeks as she looked at the person before her.

“They are beautiful, Liv,” Tucker’s voice echoed. He was standing by the bed with one of her crying babies in his arms.

“Leave them alone,” she barked, her voice dripping with venom.

“You will never see them again, Olivia, you’re nothing but a whore and everyone knows that.” Tucker growled.

“There is no way you are getting them, you leave my babies alone.” She ordered as she watched Tucker put her daughter down, only to start coming towards the bed. She tried scooting herself up but he was already climbing onto the bed. “Olivia, so beautiful” he whispered, caressing her face.

“Get the fuck away from me,” she spat.

“Oh, you don't wanna say that,” he seethed as he ripped the blanket off of her. She closed her eyes, praying with everything she had that she would make it out alive and with both of her babies. He was about to enter her when the door was thrust open, revealing her entire squad. Elliot quickly uncuffed her and brought her to his chest as she sobbed. “You’re okay, Liv, I've got you, sweetheart...” he whispered as he held her.

She woke up, sweat dripped down her body, her eyes wild and frantic as she looked around. She lunged for her phone that was on the nightstand, plugged into the charger, shaking as she looked through her contacts.

“Elliot please, I need you. I fucking need you!” She hung up and paced around her living room, nervously waiting. She didn't want to be alone, she couldn't be alone.

“Liv!” Elliot said frantically as he entered her apartment. Quickly, he gathered her into his arms. “I’m here, you’re safe,” he whispered as she sobbed.

“He t-took them, El, he took my babies and tried to rape me again.” She managed to say through her sobs.

“Liv, I promise you. Nothing will happen to you guys. You’re alright, honey. You gotta calm down so you don't hurt your babies.” Elliot said in a calm voice, trying to soothe her.

“El, please stay with me,” she begged.

“I’m here, Liv, and I'm never going to let go.” He promised as they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms. He was going to make sure she was safe, no matter what the cost.
