Esta se construye en dos partes: La ciudad de cartón nos introduce en otra ciudad de cartón (escrita) donde acompañamos al protagonista, en dos estadios: su hábitat, en la 1ª parte; en sus correrías por una ciudad fantasmal y sus suburbios en la 2ª.Según, Washington Benavides, en los relatos de H. H. Munro, "Saki", "lo fantástico se instala como un acontecimiento corriente en sus relatos". Lo mismo ocurre en esta novela. Desde su inicio, lo real es suplantado en base a metáforas o visiones insólitas por otra dimensión. Lejanamente, el fantasma de Gregorio Samsa parecería la sombra de este hombre que está de vacaciones. El "eterno femenino" aparece un día en su casa en la figura de esa muchacha con piernitas de niña que, sin razón ni explicación alguna, se sienta a la mesa y empieza a construir su ciudad de cartón. Olvídese el lector avisado de exigirle al autor referencias o conclusiones de esta anormal visita. Tampoco por las catástrofes de inundaciones o de temblores de tierra y sombras feroces que se tragan a los individuos, en la 2ª. La sexualidad, uno de los caballitos de batalla de la narrativa contemporánea, aquí se observa así: "Hicimos el amor como apurados por una obligación fatal. No tenía necesidad, ni sentía ningún deseo y comencé a pensar en lo que podría hacer al otro día, pero no se me ocurrió gran cosa, entonces terminé pensando en nada". Pocas veces se leerán páginas tan despojadas del deseo sexual como estas. ¿Qué busca el personaje, dentro y fuera de su casa? ¿Por qué una mujer es todas las mujeres? Esta breve e inquietante novela, debe leerse. Nos ofrece un material complejo y atractivo. Nos sugiere que las cosas son dobles y muchas veces contrarias.…

Una noche donde no se veía ni una estrella en el firmamento y la brisa soplaba como el chocar de las olas a las rocas de la playa, un clima perfecto para caminar con una buena compañía, pero yo estaba como un pendejo corriendo por mi vida tratando de escapar de dos mutantes, tal vez se pregunten como hay mutantes en este mundo, bueno les explicare. Hace ya algún tiempo encontré un pequeño libro, en la portada tenía el nombre de Timons, bordado con cuero bordado a mano, se veía como un cuaderno común y corriente así que lo lleve y lo metí al bolso. Días después noto que el libro brilla de cierta página en específico, al abrirlo un lápiz color plata sale de entre las páginas y un nombre se escribe en el libro "Nokaori" y de repente sale una persona del libro, y dice "Hola yo soy Nokaori tu tutora del Timons o ITM, te enseñare sus reglas y como usarlo" yo un poco entusiasmado le respondí "adelante Nokaori" "bueno ya que lleva un poco de tiempo, comencemos de inmediato, tras algunos días de aburrida teoría por fin comenzó la práctica.Nokaori: Bueno empezaremos con algo fácil, dibuja una espadaYouhir: Bueno lo intentareAl yo dibujar una bazofia (porque eso no tiene otro nombre) ella dibujo casi casi una katana, y me dice "Ataca" ella con un pequeño corte quebró mi obra maestra, después Nokaori se detiene y me dice "La fuerza, resistencia y durabilidad de tus creaciones son depende a tu confianza y tus habilidades de dibujo (no creo que sea mucho) por ahora lo que te puedo decir es que mejores, mañana nos vemos"._.Bueno durante lo que quedaba el día me centre a dibuja (Aunque era pésimo dibujante)…

Pero cuando se va deja un vacío enorme.Ese vacío es difícil de llenar, y cuando piensas realmente que lo has superado vuelves a caer.Lo había charlado con mi especialista pero ella siempre hablaba a través de la razón, yo hablaba de sentimientos y ella solo hablaba de superación. Como si todo fuera fácil.Mi pareja se fue hace más de un año, de un día para el otro me abandono. Recuerdo ese día con todos los detalles y mi mente pareciera torturarme cada día más.
