Description: THEY'RE COMIC BOOKS!

Old-school comic books, they're printed in black in white.

They were found by Agent {REDACTED} in an antique shop in Denver, Colorado.

Hey, I know that place!

095 was apparently printed by a company in Ohio called 'Future Funnies'.

All attempts to actually find the company have proved ineffective, and by that, I mean that it doesn't exist.

The comic itself is a pulp science fiction called 'The Atomic Adventures of Ronnie Ray-Gun', featuring a main character that looks a lot like......Ronald Reagan? The former president?

Out of all the former and future presidents...you choose Reagan? Jeez.

Each story starts out with a panel stating: "In the Far-Fetched Future World of the 1980s, only Ronnie Ray-Gun can save the day."

It follows a episode kind of format, with one story per publication.

The three stories are described below.

-Ronnie vs. Space Admiral Carter

Governor Ronnie Ray-Gun and his sidekick Space Major Herbert fight Carter the Space Admiral as they both vie for the position as  'Space Marshall'.

It's kinda based on the 1980 election.

Kinda.

-Space Assassin!

Space guy Hinckley  tries to assassinate Space Marshall Ronnie, and manages wound him with his 'Devastator Ray'.

This is why I don't read pulp science fiction. It gets weird FAST.

Anyway, this issue is vaguely based on the 1981 assassination attempt by John Hinckley Jr.

-Jungle Planet!

The story follows Ronnie's attempts to make an.....army of robots.....to fight the Sand Bandits..on the planet Nica..?

What

Although Ronnie knows that he will lose his command if he does this, he sends Space Colonel West to do the deed.

And then West takes the blame, I guess.

Is this the Iran-Contra controversy?

Yes, but barely.

Perhaps most interesting is that at the end of every comic is some other comics published by Future Funnies.

We're trying to find them, but here's a list of them:

Space Major Herbert Assumes Command!

Starman Willy vs. The Space Succubus

Globe Walker in Sneak Attack!

Barry Betelgeuse on Planet Afgar

Diamond Donnie in Puttin' on the Ritz!

Sky Marm Sarah of The Ice World

Flying Franken vs. Rocket Rush

Star Command Proton in A Losing Battle!

The New Menace – Death to Mankind!
