Marin: We're close to being done?
Mulan: Just about. Give it another 2 more hours.
Marin: Okay. *He gets a small cloth and wipes his forehead. Soon, the door opened and another customer with two kids walked into the bakery. * Here comes some more.
Mulan: Hello, ma'am, hello kids. Welcome to Tom and Sabine Patisserie, how can we help you?
Female customer: My family is in town, so I decided to pick up a nice dessert. Something with fruit.

Female customer: (taking the order off the counter) Thank you. Come on, guys. *They leave the bakery. Back at the Carrefour City, Anarka, Othiteka, and Aria got done with grocery shopping for the party, the cashier scanned everything, the bagger bagged up the groceries and put them in the cart. The cashier said the total, Othiteka offered to pay for the shopping with the money he got from his movie theater job, thankfully it went well, and they all left the store with bags. *
Othiteka: Hmm, what time is it?
Anarka: 2:30.
Othiteka: Okay, Michael gets out in 15 minutes. Once we drop this stuff off, I'll head to his school, pick him up, and get Juleka's present before she and Luka gets home from school.
Anarka: Think you'll be able to pull it off?
Othiteka: I know I will. I messed up with our marriage and missed out on our kids; life, this is the least I can do to do better.
Anarka: Glad to hear you're turning into a new leaf, Othiteka.
Othiteka: Thank you, Anarka. *They keep walking down the street heading to the Liberty boat. *
Anarka: 'Hopefully the kittens didn't do any destruction around the Houseboat.'
At College Francoise DuPont, classes were running smoothly and nothing's going wrong- yet. In Mr. Bentley's history class, Mr. Bentley explained more on the slideshow presentation from yesterday on the Civil War.
Mr. Bentley: (using a pointer on the projector screen) Now, we're on the Jackson slideshow. *He used his clicker and move to the next slider. * At the 1st battle of Bull Run Jackson earned his nick name when he and his brigade stood "like a stone wall." Serving under Lee, Jackson flanked the Union army to set up the Confederate victory at the second battle of Bull Run. At Chancellorsville Jackson again flanked the Union army but was mortally wounded by his own troops. *They all write down the lecture notes on Bull Run Jackson. Marinette erased a mistake and rewrite a word, Jordan clicked his mechanical pencil for more lead on his pencil and write on his notebook, and Theo yawned and looked bored as he write down on his notebook. * Have you all got this slide? *Everyone answered yes to Mr. Bentley. * Okay. Now to the next slide. *He used the clicker and go to the next slide. * Now we're on Grant. In 1862 he captured Fort Henry and Fort Donelson in Tennessee, barely escaped defeat at the Battle of Shiloh and ended Confederate control of the Mississippi in Vicksburg. Commanding in the West, he thoroughly defeated Bragg at Chattanooga. He directed the Union army in the Wilderness Campaign and he received Lee's surrender. *They write more on their notebooks and paid attention to the lecture notes on the slideshow. *
Alya: Here I thought I love history. But it's a little boring. It was fun when Ms. Bustier teaches us.
Marinetta: True.
Mr. Bentley: Do I hear voices? *Marinette and Alya kept quiet so they won't get caught. * Hmm. No talking in my class. *He used the clicker and clicked to the next slide on the slideshow. * For McClellan, he was criticized for overcaution in the unsuccessful Peninsular Campaign and removed from command. Called on again in 1862, he checked Lee in the Antietam Campaign, but he allowed the Confederates to withdraw across the Potomac and was again removed. He would run for president in 1864.
Marinette: (using a sticky note and write down a response, then pass it to Alya) 'We'll talk about it after school.'
Alya: (writes back and passed the note back to Marinette) 'Okay.' *
At the Paris Fire Brigade, Chief Bernard takes Skye to the paramedic room where they see Amanda in the room, packing up the first aid bag.
Bernard: Here it is, Skye. The Paramedic area.
Skye: This is it?
Bernard: Yep. I know this isn't much, but we gotta start from somewhere, huh?
Skye: (unamused) I see what you mean.
Bernard: Perfect. Let me introduce you to Amanda. Amanda! *Amanda turned around and saw Bernard with Skye. *
Amanda: Yes, Chief?
Bernard: Amanda, I would like you to meet Skye. Skye, this is Amanda, a paramedic employee.
Amanda: Hi, Skye.
Skye: Hi.
Bernard: Amanda's been in the medical force for 5 years. She knows the ropes around here. She will train you on how it's done. Right, Amanda?
Amanda: Yep.
Bernard: Perfect. I'll let you two started. *He walked away, leaving Skye at the doorway. *
Amanda: I'll show you the tools around here when you're in an emergency crisis state. *Skye walked up to Amanda as she opened the bag and started pulling out tools and telling them what they are. This is a Stethoscope.
Skye: Huh.
Amanda: It's mostly used for whenever someone is under a cardiac arrest, Respiratory Distress, Head Trauma, and mostly Pediatric Patients.
Skye: 'I used one of those before. When I was in the doctor.
Amanda: Next is a Blood Pressure cuff. This tool plays a pivotal role in emergency medical response by allowing healthcare professionals, including EMTs, to measure a patient's blood pressure. *Skye nod head yes to that. * Third tool is the Glucometer, this tool is significant importance in emergency medical response, as it enables healthcare professionals, including EMTs, to quickly assess a patient's blood sugar level.
Skye: 'This is boring.'
Amanda: The fourth tool is the Pulse Oximeter. The Pulse Oximeter is an emergency medical response, as it provides EMTs with valuable real-time information about a patient's respiratory and circulatory status. The fifth tool here is thermometer.
Skye: I know how that work. You check their temperature.
Amanda: Yeah. But there's more to that. This tool is also used for any emergency medical response, as it allows healthcare professionals, including EMTs, to quickly and accurately assess a patient's temperature. Monitoring body temperature is vital in various emergency situations, as fever or hypothermia can be indicative of underlying medical conditions, infections, or the severity of the patient's illness.
Skye: Oh. I did not know that.
Amanda: Good thing the chief hired you as part of the medical field here.
Skye: Yes, he sure did. 'As if I get to work in this position.'
Amanda: The sixth tool is called the Trauma Shears.
Skye: The Trauma what?
Amanda: Trauma Shears. In other words, scissors.
Skye: Oh. Okay then.
Amanda: The seventh tool is the Tourniquet.
Skye: What is that?
Amanda: It's medical device used to control severe bleeding by constricting blood flow to a limb or a specific body part. It consists of a strap or band typically made of fabric or rubber and is tightened around the injured area to reduce or stop the flow of blood. Tourniquets are of significant importance in emergency medical response, as they can be life-saving in situations involving severe hemorrhage, such as traumatic injuries, amputations, or arterial bleeding.
Skye: Huh. Okay then.
Amanda: The eighth tool is the Automated External Defibrillator. Or AED for short.
Skye: What does that do exactly?
Amanda: The AED is a medical device used to deliver an electric shock to the heart, with the primary goal of restoring a normal heart rhythm during life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias, particularly ventricular fibrillation, and ventricular tachycardia.
Skye: Hmm.
Amanda: The ninth tool is the Diagnostic Pen. This device is a handheld medical tool used by healthcare professionals, including EMTs, for diagnostic and examination purposes. This pen-shaped device
