Everyone then looked to the screen in confusion at the error message.

Ruby: Um, is this normal?

Jaune!404: O-0F cOur-c0u4se nO-NO-not.

Soviet: Hang on.

Soviet then turned to smoke as he went to the top of the theatre and to the high quality projector.

Jaune!404: THA-ThAt m1-miG-might be my-MY-mY fau~lt.

Ozpin: How so... Uh...

Jaune!404: Ju-jUsT Cal-call-C4lL mE-ME-me, 40-0-0-4-4-4.

Ozpin: Ok then Mr. 404, but how so?

Jaune!404: EV-eVerY now-N0w-nOw an-4nd the-tHe-THen, I-I-I-I-1 m3-meSS wi-w1th So-Sov1e-S0vi3t.

Ozpin: Ah.

Suddenly Soviet's body formed in front of the crowd, and next to Jaune!404.

Soviet: Alright, found the issue.

Nebula: What is it?

Soviet: For some weird reason, the selector is set to randomize, and I tried to change it, but I couldn't.

Willow: Aren't you the Watcher?

Soviet: To an extent, I ain't all mighty or anything.

Jaune!404: Y3-yeA-yeah, I-I'm tha-ThAt.

Soviet: Yeah, rub it in. Anyways, looks like we're starting something, nobody will like.

Weiss: What would that be?

Soviet: One of the deadliest battle locations!

Ruby: WHyyyyy!

Soviet: Because block head over there, thought it would be a good idea to doubt me.

Everybody then glared at Mercury who sunk in his seat.

Soviet: Now, this will be the Battle of Okinawa!

Coco: Okinawa?

Soviet: Yes, World War 2-

Everyone: WORLD WAR 2!?!?

Soviet: Ah... that will be explained later...

Ironwood: No you will do it no-

Suddenly a large spike was seen at Ironwood's face as everyone looked to over to Soviet and back to Ironwood.

Soviet: The snap of my fingers, and you'll go, bye bye.

Ironwood then slowly sat back down as the spike disappeared.

Soviet: Now, as I was saying. The Battle of Okinawa was one of the bloodiest battles of the war, but one place stood out, the Maeda Escarpment, or as most people know it. Hacksaw Ridge.

The way Soviet said those words, a few had a chill go down their spines.

Soviet: Now, I'll introduce the cast for you all

Timeskip

Ruby: Thanks for telling us!

Soviet: But of course, let us begin.

The screen then lit up once more as remnants of the 96th Infantry were seen with the 77th Infantry, walking up to the encampment at the bottom of the ridge.

Ironwood: Interesting clothing...

The massive group then stopped at the sound of their commanding officer, Captain Glover

Winter: So, a Captain is leading this assault.

Glover: That's our objective. Hacksaw Ridge. We take it, maybe we get Okinawa.

Glover then took a pause before looking down the column.

Glover: We get Okinawa, we take Japan.

Pietro: What is this... Japan?

Soviet: As yes, Japan, or during the time, the Empire of Japan. One of the hundreds of nations, and one of the most powerful nations on Earth during the time.

Pietro: Hundreds you say!?

Everyone then looked to Soviet in disbelief once more.

Soviet: Da, I would know. That is where a good amount of my time came from being on Earth.

Pietro: Fascinating...

Oobleck: They must have interesting history I suppose!

Everyone looked between their CO and the ridge itself as a few soldiers were seen with their helmets not strapped on.

Ozpin: That is a helmet, but why is it not strapped on, we can see that it has a strap.

Soviet: During the war, many soldiers and marines didn't use the helmet straps for multiple reasons, comfort, easier communication, quick removal if needed.

Soviet then remembered something faint, unsure if it was true.

Soviet: And if I remember correctly, their was a belief that if the helmet took a hard blow or your head was knocked back fast, the helmet would just come off and there would be no issue. But if you had the strap on, you could break your neck due to your heading going in whatever direction.

This terrified some people in the crowd.

Velvet: Wha-what!?

Soviet: Not sure if this was true, but is a possibility why.

Most people paled, thinking the sight they would see after a soldier would've survived after being hit in the head, but died from their own gear as the video continued.

Glover: Take a breather. Our pals in the Navy are going to soften them up for us.

Elm: What's a Navy?

Soviet: Ah right, you do not have branches on Remnant.

Marrow: What do you mean branches?

Soviet: All militaries on Earth, have separate branches depending on the combat or what they do.

Robyn: Can you give us an example or explain?

Soviet: Yes, these are quick and non-in-depth explanations, but the Army Branch, which is the most common would be the main ground force. The Marines are the essential men who would  conducting expeditionary and amphibious operations with expertise in combat on land and at sea. The Navy would be the ocean force consisting of combat ships, while the Air Force is self explanatory.

Robyn: Ah, thank you.

Ironwood: But what is the purpose of this!?

Soviet: To prevent confusion as each branch has its own specific focus and capabilities, allowing for a division of labor and expertise. You can teach a man a thing, but you cannot teach him everything.

Ironwood: I... you... have a good point...

Soviet: What happens if the you were killed alongside the entire chain of command? Who's going to lead then? A Captain who's had no experience. That it is good having one central command while having different branch commands, if one command gets killed, your other branches will have no issue fighting as their commander is still alive.

Ozpin: That is true, I am surprised, you look young, but your a Watcher of the universe so it is to be expected.

Soviet shrugged as the film continued.

Suddenly the screen had cut to a massive barrel turning as the sounds of it filled the theatre.

Nora then hopped out her seat as Ruby drooled while a few others wonder what it's capable of, if they could make such a weapon, or be a bunny and take pictures of said gun.

Nora: Oh. My. Oum! That is a massive cannon! I want to fire it!

Ren: *Sigh* No, Nora. You can't because we aren't there.

Nora: But it looks like so much fun!

Ren: No, Nora.

Ruby: ... I! Need! It! I want to try it! Please! Please! Please!

Summer giggled as Yang calmed Ruby down before the scene changed.

Yang: Now what!?

All of the massive guns on said ship begun to fire as most looked on in amazement at the force the ammo was being launched by as massive explosions were seen in the distance.

Ruby and Nora were silent as headphones appeared on everyone's ears.

Jaune: What the?

Ruby/Nora: AHHHHH!!!!!! I WANT TO TRY THE GUN!!!!!!!

After a few seconds the headphones disappeared.

Yang: U-uh Ru-Rubes...

Yang looked to Ruby with a mixture of shock and neutrality due to Ruby who was practically comatose in her seat while Ren had the same look at Nora as this was slightly expected.

Meanwhile back on the screen in which everyone was invested in, the explosions were seen coming over the ridge as the soldiers looked on with one distinct soldier with a can on his back spoke.

Kirzinski: Nobody can survive that shit.

Salem: From the looks of it, they should not~

The soldier right behind the one named Kirzinski spoke as everyone looked to him as he looked traumatized.

Bob: Oh, but they can

Sun: That is not! Something you would want to hear.

Slow-mo explosions were seen on the ridge as everyone thought the Japanese were being killed, meanwhile the current CO's were gathered together looking at the map.

Glover: Lieutenant, these bunkers here, here and here, is that accurate?

Schecter: Yeah, there's three...

The soldier then started to gag a bit.

Emerald: What's with him?

Schecter then turned away as he threw up as the 77th CO's looked to each other with empathy before focusing again as Schecter wiped his mouth.

Some people looked at him with disgust, while others, empathy as they could see the look in his eyes and face that he had seen and been through a lot.

Weiss: Gross...

Schecter: Yes sir, maybe a little further back, but it's all... it's all different up there...

Suddenly a radio was heard.

Radioman: All clear, Captain

Pyrrha: I'm already starting to get nervous...

Jaune: You and me both Pyrrha...

The Sergeant then spoke out.

Howell: Gents, move out!

The theatre then watched as the soldiers started to walk forward, arriving at the net that was used to climb the ridge, climbing themselves. The men started to climb up with a few grunts as the camera panned to all sorts of different angles.

Brawnz: This music, is not helping.

As they climbed up the ridge, blood started to drip down onto the men.

Hollywood: It's blood...

Kirzinski: No shit.

Winter: The language of these men!

Soviet: Winter, ma'am.

Winter then looked to Soviet with a few others.

Soviet: They are essentially walking into a death trap, let them be.

Winter then slowly nodded out of fear as Soviet gave a less then endearing smile.

Howell: We're not in Kansas anymore, Dorthy

Ruby, after recovering asked a quick question out of fear seeing Howell with blood on his uniform as more dripped down.

Ruby: Wh-what's Kansas...

Soviet: Oh you know, just a state of the United States.

Ruby: Then what?

Soviet: Similar to Japan, being one of the more powerful nations in the war.

Ruby: O-oh...

Hollywood or Dorthy and Howell looked at each other, Howell with a serious but very little sympathetic look on his face with Hollywood being more scared.

Cinder: Fools, why would they even join if they're afraid of blood.

Soviet: Because of patriotism and conscription.

The film then paused as everyone looked to him

Jacques: What kind of foolish word is patriotism and conscription!?

Soviet: Patriotism. The devotion and love for your country and those in it to where you will join the military to defend so.

Ironwood: That is...

Clover: Admiring?

Ironwood: In a way.

Soviet; Conscription though, was essentially forced enlistment into the military.

Glynda: That is...

Port: Not the best news, you would want to hear.

Howell: Keep climbing.

The men kept climbing up the ridge, some out of fear, some out of the love wanting to serve and do their job, others, forced. The men the had reached the top of the ridge as some helped others up, not knowing it was either their last day, or last day for the man in front of them.

???: Here come on.

Everyone was finishing up their climb as everyone prepared, one getting his M1919A4, while a radio was passed around as the music came to a still with only heavy breathing.

In front of the American troops was a desolate wasteland, all that was seen were corpses, shell craters, and dead trees.

Medics were then seen passing by.

Medic: Coming though, make way. Out the way.

Ironwood: It's quiet, to quiet

Ozpin: That isn't usually a good sign.

Glynda: Not at all.

The medics and other men not preparing to move forward were seen creating an aid station and communication area.

Soldier 1: Brown!

Brown: What?

Soldier 1: Give this to Jessop.

The soldier was then seen throwing a radio to Henry Brown as he threw it over to Corporal Jessop.

Brown: Corporal!

Corporal Jessop was then seen catching the radio behind Sergeant Howell as he and Captain Glover looked to each other before nodding as everyone moved forward and out of the cover, crouched down, slowly moving. Burning pieces of wood, mixed corpses of Japanese and American troops scattered across the battlefield.

Ruby: I don't like this...!

Ruby then hugged Summer who hugged back, eyes still watching the film as Ruby hid herself, not wanting to see the carnage.

Meanwhile, back on the film, soldiers were seen stepping over corpses, some taking glances at their dead comrades as the sounds of flies were heard with it switching from a single soldier, to groups while also showing some dead bodies or a missing limb with a pool of blood next to it.

Tai: I can feel the intensity right now...

Qrow: And something is about to happen with it being this high.

Men were then seen taking cover behind former Japanese defense, craters, or even the bodies of their fellow brothers in arms.

A man was then seen jumping into a crater before landing on a rotten corpse that had maggots and rats feasting on it as the soldier recoilled back with a small yelp out of disgust.

Weiss: That is...

Many people started to feel sick at the sight, as trash cans appeared in front of a few people as the sounds of vomit were heard.

Blake: W-what k-kind of ba-battle...

Arslan: This is... not... I...

Reese then wiped her mouth as she was still shaking out of fright.

Soviet: I'll... I'll give you all a minute.

Jaune!404: Y0u be-bE-betTerrrr~!

Timeskip

Soviet then looked to the massive crowd as he munched down on some popcorn.

Soviet: We doing good.

Weiss: H-how can you st-still eat! Af-after seeing that!

Soviet: Oh, I'm extremely used to blood and gore, I'm a big fan of military movies.

Emerald: Y-you're in-insane!

Soviet: Not insane, just, how you say... different.

Soviet then flipped upside down while keeping the popcorn up right as he popped another few pieces into his mouth.

Soviet: Now let's continue!

The camera then showed a soldier, surrounded by his comrades, the difference was that this man, didn't appear to have a weapon.

Ironwood: Where is his weapon!? If he had lost his weapon I would punish him severely for doing so! You shouldn't lose a piece of military proper-

*BANG*

A small gunshot was heard as a hole was seen next to Ironwood's head.

Harriet: What he hell are you doing!?

Soviet: What's more important?

Everyone looked to Soviet confused as Jaune!404 looked entertained.

Ironwood: What?

Soviet: What is more important? The man, or the weapon?

Ironwood: The weapon! If that man has no-

*BANG*

A second shot from Soviet was heard with a second hole.

Soviet: Wrong!

Harriet: What do you mean!?

Soviet: The man makes the weapon! If you have no man to operate the weapon, then there is no need for the weapon! A man's life is priceless compared to the equipment that could be rebuilt! You cannot! Rebuild the life of a man!

Most people looked to Soviet and Ironwood as he sunk in his seat as Soviet floated back up with his smoke as he sat down, legs crossed.

Soviet: The men like you do not deserve to be in charge, the men who understand the importance of life deserve to be on top, but they must also have to understand the sacrifice that comes with it.

May M: Then why doesn't he have a weapon...?

Soviet: Corporal Desmond Doss, the medic who refused to carry a weapon into battle.

Fiona: Is he tryna get himself killed!?

Soviet: On the contrary.

Everyone looked to him in surprise.

Jaune!404: Do-o-0-Doss ha-h4-haD sa-s4-SA-Sa-sAvED th-ThE li-LiveS of-0f-0F-of 7-7-7-75 s-sold-S0lDierS th-ThIs d-day and-AnD-4nd-and the-tHe ne-next combi-bined.

Ruby then up in surprise as everyone looked shocked.

Ruby: He what!?

Soviet: Corporal Doss had saved 75 men in total during the Battle of Okinawa, earning himself the Medal of Honor.

Yang: The who of what?

Soviet: The Medal of Honor, the highest ranking award in the United States.

Raven: So what, it's just a-

*BANG*

Another 3rd shot was heard as a piece of Raven's chair was gone.

Soviet: You do not! Call it a piece of metal! The Medal of Honor is given to those who have distinguished themselves by acts of valor! By going above the call of duty! Putting their lives on the line for others something you know nothing of! So by help me Gods! You will not live! To see another day!

Most people started to look afraid of the Watcher as he, for a 15 year old looked scary at the moment.

Soviet: Hm! Let's continue!

A soldier was seen jumping down behind a dirt mound, trying to look over for a better view as he rested his arm on the thigh of a "dead" soldier, but little did anyone know-

The Two Soldiers: AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

A good amount of the theatre then jumped of out their seats or hugged whatever was closest at the sight of the jump scare and seemingly dead soldier coming back to life.

Roy: Wait! That means!

Machine gun fire then erupted as a hole was blown through the "dead" soldiers head as the blood splattered across the face of the other man before he too was shot down dead as gunfire erupted everywhere as Americans were being picked off one by one with the invisible enemy in the dense fog.

Dew: Oh my Gods!

Gwen: Get down!

Explosions from all around occurred as men where either exploded or cut down by Type 92 and 96 machine guns as yelling and shouts of pain were heard throughout the air and theatre.

Soldier 1: Incoming!

Soldier 2: Get down! Get down!

The tension had snapped, the hellfire of the Japanese and Americans were unleashed as the Americans got cut down due to no visibility of the enemy. With this battle, from the sights of the theatre, there was no right or wrong, no good or evil, there was no humanity, only the dilemma of their morality.

Oobleck: This... this would be how humanity fought if we didn't stop fighting, to fight the Grimm... correct?

Soviet: To a certain extent, yes. There will always be good, but there will always be evil. Revenge, greed, selfishness, any and all of these traits will always exist. With so, comes violence. Humanity and Faunus kind will always have conflict, whether with each other, or against themselves.

Oobleck: Such is true, sadly.

Soviet: The only way to live past it, is with acceptance. If you accept the circumstances and all, you can push past it, but if you stick to the path of revenge, only trouble will be the result.

Oobleck: Yes, you are a wise one. Especially for someone so young.

Soviet: Yeah, but that's mostly because of my multiple counts of a nervous breakdown.

Ruby: A-are you ok...?

Soviet: Oh, yeah, totally.

Explosions all around them occurred as men's limbs were being torn off as they lie in pain, others, lie in death as men shouted.

Soldier 3: Where the hell are they!? I can't see nothing!

Sage: How can you fight an opponent when you cannot see them...?

Jaune!404: Y-y0u-u-u-u~ list-l1sTen.

Everyone then looked to 404.

Scarlet: What...?

Soviet: 404 is right, if you cannot see, the listen, if you cannot listen, then feel. We have 5 senses, Hearing, Feeling, Seeing, Tasting, and Smelling, if you can't use one, use the other.

Ozpin: That is correct Mr. Soviet, Mr. 404.

The two then nodded.

The camera then switched to the soldiers
