What some may describe as a 'power couple' nowadays, was once just a couple who's personalities worked out despite being polar opposites. And one of those, was Shadow Milk Cookie and C/N Cookie. The prior, being Earthbread's beloved trickster and jester, always taking good fun out of pranks or jokes. The latter, a rather timid and reserved magician that wanders across the land and one day just decided to live in his kingdom.
Already before they had formed an official relationship, the two absolutely loved each other to bits! Shadow Milk Cookie often taunted them for how quiet they tended to be, or how they always desired knowledge, but just found those to be adorable traits. C/N Cookie found it intruiging how much the jester knew, well being one of the five great Cookies that was no suprise, but still. And they loved how his cunning, yet charming and witty remarks always set a flutter to their heart.
Well, that is until he got corrupted.
And C/N Cookie, being the positive Cookie they were, always hoped they could change him. Or help him change, at least. They thought he would listen to them, his significant other that he loved so much. But if he really did, things apparently would've been a lot more different.
They really thought... what they had was genuine.
"Shadow Milk Cookie." They whispered, a silent beg in their voice. "Please, stop this nonsense. This isn't you." C/N Cookie desperately gripped onto his arm, as if he'd go commit crimes if they'd let go. Which probably wasn't too far off. Shadow Milk Cookie only mustered his lover, but instead of consideration, there was irritation glimmering in his mismatched eyes. Oh how he used to look at them...
A false, cold smile spread across his lips. "Oh C/N Cookie. You have no idea what you're saying there, are you, darlin'?" Shadow Milk Cookie leaned over them. "Me and my fellow heroes can do whatever we please. Everyone adores us. And there is nothing that could stop us." He whispered, his cold breath sending a shiver down C/N Cookie's spine.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have a meeting with Eternal Sugar Cookie to attend." He kissed their forehead- though they weren't able to feel any affection of the gesture- before strudding off with confidence, as if nothing had happened at all.
Which left C/N Cookie to be standing there alone. Shadow Milk Cookie really won't listen, huh? Doesn't he see his deeds are anything but heroic?
Looks like they'd have to do something they hadn't done in ages, yet something that would hopefully help: Find contact to the divine creators.

"H-hey! Let me out! NOW!" The demanding voice of Shadow Milk Cookie screeched. He tugged at the bars of the giant fork, but of course it didn't budge.
Why, why were the Witches doing this?! How dare they! Try to... seal the five great Cookies away!
The jester continued to watch the scene with gritted teeth, until his eyes fell upon a person standing a few meters away from him. For a moment, Shadow Milk Cookie was silent out of suprise. "C/N Cookie?!" He calls out to them, feeling relieved to see his lover. "Oh, how happy I am to see you! Will you help me out here, dear, please?"
C/N Cookie only stares at him, their E/C eyes unusually dark. They don't move a muscle, making no advance whatsoever to assist him. To which Shadow Milk Cookie only laughs, thinking it was because of their own fear. "Come on, don't just stand there! Help me."
But when they still didn't react, his laughter begins to die down. "You don't want those filthy Witches imprisoning me, your loving and devoting partner..?" C/N Cookie gags at his grand impression of himself, disgusted by his arrogant self flattery. "I helped them find you." They answer nochalantly.
"What."
"You heard me right."
"WHAT!"
Shadow Milk Cookie shouts at them, completely forgetting to play the nice guy in need as his eyes burn with flames of rage. "You... traitor..! Traitor, TRAITOR, TRAITOR!" He doesn't even bother to ask why, either because he knows or he's still too proud to admit he's a horrible guy.
C/N Cookie feels their stomach bubble with anger as well. As if they're the traitor! As if he isn't the bad guy, literally wreaking havoc upon and destroying the world he swore to protect! "How in the Heavens' name am I the traitor, huh?! If anything, you are! It's all your doing that Earthbread is forever scarred with terror! It was all you and your missbaked, selfish and crumbling idiotic friends' fault!"
"You swore to be my side forever!"
"You swore to help Cookiekind, so I guess we both broke an oath." C/N Cookie glared at him coldly. Shadow Milk Cookie had never seen them like this, then again, it would be the last time too. A part of him wondered if they ever threw glances like that at the back of his head when he wasn't looking.
"No! You can't just leave me here!" Shadow Milk Cookie screamed, but his hopes of changing their mind were already gone. C/N Cookie mustered him wearily. "I very much can, traitor."
"But-"
"Goodbye."
And with that, they turned on their heel, ignoring the further yells of their now ex-partner and the other Beasts, leaving them to the Witches.
---------------
Shadow Milk Cookie grinned down at the few Cookies staring at him with fearful, cautious and warning gazes. How he enjoyed expressions like these on the faces of vulnerable, lowly Cookies.
Oh, this would be so much fun! After being stuck in that damn tree for eons, he is finally free! And there's so much to do here. Brainwash some Faerie Cookies, have a little chat with that feeble 'hero' who stole his soul jam, give them a little show, and the list goes on. However, he didn't care about any of that right now.
He was planning to pay a visit to an old confidant first. And coincidentally, he knew they were currently living in just the same place he's in, the Faerie Kingdom.
"Oh C/N Cookie. Ready or not, here I come!~"
