Jessica's POV

I laid on the ground, my back facing the entrance of the cell. I still was in my wolf form as I didn't really want to be naked in front of these strangers. Surprisingly, I was feeling numb when I knew that I wouldn't make it back to America. I wouldn't see Jay again, or Beth or Matt. It was crazy how my life was going to end after one mistake. I shook my head and curled up further to myself.

I wasn't sure how much time had passed before I heard a murmur of voices and heavy footfalls echoing against the walls. The voices got louder alerting me that they were getting close to my cell. Due to this, I stood up and made sure I had a snarl on my face, showing them that I wasn't going down without a fight. It was a stupid decision, I know. However, the power that emits from the man that walks into the cell is so great that it forces me to bow my head. The confidence I had slowly diminished as I was suddenly aware that an extremely powerful wolf was in my presence. I couldn't help but lower my head as I heard his heavy steps click against the slightly damp floor.

"Shift." The harsh word filled the air and I couldn't help but think that the voice was slightly familiar. I tried to disobey his order but it was impossible. A sharp burning pain filled my head and I whined. Of course I couldn't refuse an Alpha's command. I turn around and shift into my human form. I hear a small gasp and I sit down, curling into a ball. Absolutely embarrassing. Being naked in front of however many people there were.

I could feel eyes burning into my head so I quickly look over my shoulder noticing two men standing at the entrance of my cell and gasp. One of the men standing before me was familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it due to my lack of glasses.

The familiar one, which I could sense to be the Alpha, focuses his intense gaze on me narrowing his eyes. "You brought a rogue here not knowing she was a woman. Pathetic." The Alpha's deep voice rings in the dusty cell, sending a shiver down my spine. Fuck me for having a thing for deep voices.

The other man steps forward and I notice him to be Cameron, the Beta. "She didn't fight like a woman." Cameron shrugs and a growl leaves my throat.

"You're a fucking sexist pig you know? I'll shove my 'little dick' down your fucking ass." I glare at him as I felt so irritated by his comment but all he did was smirk. All of a sudden, I see a movement come from beside me and feel the pain before I realised what was happening. One of the guards kicks me in the side and I crumple. Where the fuck did he come from? Another blow to my side is felt and I whimper.

"Enough." The Alpha says and the guard steps back, hesitantly but not without throwing me fierce glare. I wish I had the guts to give him the finger, but truly, I was scared. I turn towards the Alpha to see his eyes already on me, his dark eyes taking me in, his stare was uncomfortably intense. His eyes were searching my face, like he was looking for something. He eventually sighs and runs a hand through his hair, glancing at Cameron he says, "Put her in a spare room and let her clean up." He steps backwards glancing one more time at me with an odd look in his eyes before he storms off, his footsteps echoing quietly the further he got. The guard who kicked me, follows quickly behind not even offering a glance at me.

Cameron turns to me after watching them walk away and rolls his eyes slightly. He begins to pull at the ends of his top bringing it over his head, throwing it at me violently. He turns his back to me for a second allowing me to put the shirt over my head, falling on my mid thigh.

I stand up shakily, ignoring the slight pain I felt. Hearing me, he turns around and looks me over then says, "You're lucky you bitch. Not sure why the Alpha wants to keep you but let's just go." I clench my teeth and trail behind him slowly ignoring the feeling of my bare feet slapping against the ground. We make our way out of the prison walking past many cells. myself and follow him as he takes me through the prison and out onto the grass. I wonder if he'd catch me if I ran.

As we walk through the pack lands, I look around the area wondering if I quickly dashed away, if Cameron would be able to catch me. As if he could read my mind, he doesn't even turn to face me as he smugly utters, "Don't even think about running. There's a guard at every corner of the forest waiting for me to give them the word to shoot you down if you run. But I'm pretty sure they'll have a bit of fun with you first." I shiver at his words, glaring at his toned back.

"Wasn't thinking of it" I mumble. I so was. He just chuckles at me continuing to lead me.

We reach the pack house and my eyebrows raise as I take it in. They sure had a lot of money. The pack house was as large as a huge hotel. The outside wasn't that impressive but as we walked in, I had to admit that it looked good. Everything looked expensive and modern. It was a nice pack house. When walking down the halls and up the stairs, people stared and whispered, their eyes piercing me wanting to know what a rogue was doing in their pack house. Their stares were too much for me making me keep my head low. The attention was making me itch.

"Ignore them." I was surprised to hear such a soft thing escape Cameron's mouth as I guessed he saw how uncomfortable I was. I smile slightly but it falls as I remember his callous treatment. We finally stop at a room and he opens the door, pushing me in slightly with his hand. I begin to look around the room, noticing how plain it was. It was still bigger than the one I had at Kira's but it wasn't too much.

I turn to Cameron when I hear him announce, "When you're done, just tell the guard outside." He nods and walks out closing the door behind him.

"Well this was an interesting day." I mumble to myself and walk to the bathroom to get cleaned.

~~~
When I come out of the bathroom, I realise there aren't any clothes for me so I go to the wardrobe and open it to see a few clothes for men. They could've at least taken me to a spare room with girl clothes. I roll my eyes and reach in and take one of the shirts off the rack and drop the towel and put it on. The sleeves were too long so I rolled them up and it reached to my thighs, so I pulled them into a knot at the front of my stomach.
I picked a pair of shorts and put them on, after putting on a a pair of washed but wet panties that I found in the wardrobe for whatever reason, and tied the lace many times so it would stay. I put on a pair of slippers that were on the floor even though they were way bigger than my feet.
I look around the room, which was practically empty. I open the door to the room and notice a guard stood outside dressed in dark overalls. When he sees me he brings out handcuffs to handcuff me. Ain't nobody handcuffing me.
I act quickly, sending a quick kick to his knee making him stumble backwards. I watch his face contort in anger and don't wait another second before taking off down a corridor. My hair whipped around me as I struggled to run while wearing flip flops. However, I did have a head start and I was dressed in less clothes making me faster. I take a quick glance behind me seeing his run after me pushing me to run faster. I turn a corner noticing a door that led to stairs.
"HEY! STOP HER!" The guard bellows from behind me as I open the door to the stairs and run up the stairs hearing multiple footsteps after me. The adrenaline aiding me in running without getting tired. I go up two flights of stairs and open a door. As I scanned the area, I saw it was identical to the floor I was on earlier.
I begin to jog and as I could hear footsteps nearing, I decided to find a room to hide in. I begin rattling door knobs trying to find an open room. Finally, I find an open door and open it, shutting it after me.
I strain my ears hearing pairs of footsteps come and go past the door allowing me to breathe out the air I was holding. Now I wasn't being chased, I felt the fatigue hit me from that run. My muscles aching just slightly and my breathing was still fast.
After calming down, I take a look around the room seeing it was a males room as I saw boxers laying on the floor and the overpowering scent of cologne. It smelt like Cameron and I wondered if it was his room. I slowly walk further into his room noticing a picture on the bedside table. I move towards it and pick it up. It's a picture of two boys. They were both grinning and they looked like they were in their teens. I realized one was Cameron. So it was his room. He looked as handsome as he did now and the other was... their Alpha.
Wait. Wait a minute.
I squint and gasp. I almost drop the picture so I hastily put it back and step back.
The Alpha used to be in my pack. He used to be my friend. He used to be my best friend in fact. He used to be my light.
He used to be my Z and I used to be his J and we used to be Jay-Z, which is super cringeworthy thinking about it now. But he left. He left me and everything without even saying goodbye. This makes me angry.
I march to the door and open the door. All plans of me escaping leaving my head as my mind was clouded with anger. Anger at Zander. That bastard. I quickly survey the area and notice no one was around so I walked down the halls with no idea on where I was going. I decided to just retrace my steps back to where I was.
For about five minutes I continued walking down halls and stairs ending up just seeing identical rooms over and over. I slid down to the floor and sighed. This place was a fucking maze.
"Need help?" I hear a voice call out to me from above me. I look up to see a guy around my age standing there. His shadow looked over me and I took this time to look him up and down. Truth be told, he wasn't bad looking, not at all. He was hot, I had to admit. British boys really be winning, huh? As I looked over his features I saw he was doing the same thing to me. Boy was he going to be disappointed. He had messy black hair, striking green eyes, muscly figure and full pouty lips.
"Sure. I want to see your Alpha." I make a move to stand up so he steps back giving me space to do so. He looks at me with an amused smile on his face. "Problem?" He chuckles and shakes his head, his hair flopping on his forehead.
We stood there, him staring at me, me staring at him. My skin was beginning to itch at the eye contact. I found it difficult to keep eye contact with people for a long time. "I mean now, not in a thousand years." I fold my arms and narrow my eyes at him.
"Sorry princess, I just wondering who you are. You're definitely not from around here. American?" I watch as he shoves his hand out for me to take and I roll my eyes and take it.
"First off, don't call me that, it's weird. Don't be stupid, of course I'm American." I snapped at him, my crankiness showing. This pack was so... rude. I didn't like it.
The man raises his hands in surrender, his eyebrows downcast. "Hey girl, chill out. I'm not out to hurt you." I just give him a blank stare in return. So far, he was the nicest person in this pack I'd met so I was being unfair by treating him this way.
At my unresponsiveness, he sighs, running a hand through his hair. I've always wondered why guys did that. Did it calm their nerves? Did it reduce their anger? I would never understand.
"Look, I can tell that you're angry at something. I don't know what, but if you're ever feeling upset, then just know that I'll be here for you. Even though I don't know you, I feel like I can trust you." He gives me a genuine smile and I blanch and force a smile back. He was definitely needed to be careful if he was willing to trust me after meeting me once. I mean, we would never see each other after today anyways.
He turns to me and begins walking off, so I follow him. Better to be with him than alone. We walk through the confusing pack house and we finally reach an area of the pack house I had already passed. What a good job I did at navigating.
The man I was with turns to me slightly and throws me a small smile, "Just wait here. I'll mind link him telling him you're waiting." Mystery guy informs me then his eyes hold a far away look then his eyebrows scrunch together. I wait patiently for him to be done and he finally looks at me with a weird look on his face.
"Well he said he's busy right now so you should come with me." I had a feeling he was lying to me as he tried to grab my arm and pull me away.
I ignore what he says by asking, "What's your name?"
"Callum. You?" He lets go of my arm for a second.
"Jessica." He smiles and holds his hand to me. I regard his hand and move my right hand towards the handle and give him a mischievous smile before pulling the door open to be met with a table full of men. Probably Alphas and Betas. Many pairs of eyes meet mine and I curse under my breath.
Well, I'm fucked.
I search for a particular pair of dark brown chocolate eyes to see them as cold as stone giving me a death glare which makes me avert my eyes. Okay then...
"Little girl, do you need something? We're discussing something someone like you wouldn't understand." A bald, rounded man with beady eyes huffed at me. I narrow my eyes and place my hands on my hips.
My inner feminist was triggered. "I'm done with you bunch of sexist people! Why are Alphas always subjected to thinking that women are below you lot and we can't do the same thing as you. Realize that the world would be nothing without women. Women are capable of doing the same things as men. Get your life in fucking check you damn potato. Also, I'm here to talk to Zander." I glower at him and I hear eruptions of growls in the huge conference room.
"Growl all you like. Kiss my ass." I flip off the crowd and I hear a few slams against the table. I don't know where all this confidence came from but I liked it.
"Enough." One word was able to silence a crowd of rowdy Alphas. I felt the power rolling off of him in waves and I lower my head in submission along with the Alphas. I've never seen or heard anything like this before. An Alpha with so much power to overpower, not just one, but many Alphas.
It was unheard of. Also, like me disrespecting a bunch of Alphas.
"Wait outside. I'll deal with you later." The demand made me immediately hold my head down low and shuffle out of the room in embarrassment.
Callum was gone so I stood there alone feeling like a fool. The confidence that was previously in my system was gone and I felt dumb.
About twenty minutes later, one by one, the Alphas started to file out of the room. As they passed me, they all gave me dirty looks except a few who just left but most of them gave me the looks. After the last Alpha had gone, I had no idea if I was meant to go inside or not.
"Come in." Zander's deep voice hit my ears causing me to shiver where I stood. Bless my soul. I'll meet you in Heaven, Tony Stark.
I took a deep breath and walked into the room.
