Lorgan was confused. He was supposed to get a praise for his achievement in manipulating the Hero of Justice to seal the Hero of Harmony, the wild card of the human side, with the [Afterlife Soul Boundary Beads]. But, as soon as he reported this to his lord, Farma Superbia, he was directly summoned to the demon lord castle for a punishment.
He was kneeling down in the throne room. His lord, Farma Superbia, was watching him coldly. Filma Luxuria and Fleis Flameheart, his fellow demon Lord subordinates, didn’t have any intention of helping him. Even the previously person who was deemed as traitor, Bailord West, was looking down at him.
“Do you know what a grave mistake you have made, Lorgan?”
Farma asked with angry tone.
“My apologies, Milord. This one is clueless about the mistake this one has done.”
Lorgan said. He was trembling from Farma’s aura.
“You have started a discord between me and the worst demon lord, Acedia.”
Farma said. Lorgan was at lost. He couldn’t relate the things he had done with the accusation directed at him.
“It seems like he is still clueless about it.”
Fleis mocked. Farma’s mood became worse.
“Bailord, you explain. It would be pitiful if he’s punished in clueless condition.”
Filma said. Bailord sighed and looked at Lorgan.
“Just you know, Lorgan. The true identity of Demon Lord of Acedia is Ren Concerto himself.”
He said. Lorgan widened his eyes.
“WHAT?!!”
Lorgan was raising his voice in disbelieve.
“Ren Concerto is a hero but he hosted a secondary personality which turned himself into a demon lord. That personality was slowly devouring the real one and corrupting the real mind into the darkness.”
Bailord added.
“Then, why did he try to help Leonardo to regain the throne?”
Lorgan asked. Fleis laughed at his question.
“Isn’t it obvious, Lorgan? It’s war.”
Fleis said.
“War?”
Lorgan couldn’t grasp the meaning of Fleis’ words.
“Ren’s Flag is the Flag of Death. It’s natural that he seek the death of masses which only occur during war and pandemic. By helping Leonardo, he could get a war against Hero’s army and after Leonardo regained the throne, the alliance would lose their trust on Maximillian who used violence to regain the throne which then will start a second war between Maximillian and the Alliance. It’s all a ploy for him to gain strength fast.”
Fleis said.
“Fleis is right. I had talked with him directly and he said that he was using his party members as pawns. He also had two absurdly strong legion members by his side when we met.”
Bailord added. Lorgan was loss of words. Based on the flow of conversation, he had completely destroyed the chance his lord to gain an alliance with Demon Lord of Acedia.
“My deepest apologies, Milord!!”
Lorgan prostrated. He realized that his mistake was very grave that it might endanger his lord himself.
“Do you think apology is enough to redeem your mistake, Lorgan?”
Farma asked.
“Not even a second this lowly servant thinks that way!!”
Lorgan said. Farma raised his hand.
“Lorgan Blood, in the name of my authority as your lord I order you. Find a way to release Ren Concerto from his seal as fast as possible. Release him before he broke free by himself and turn his blade toward me.”
Farma said.
“AS YOUR WISH, MILORD!!”
Lorgan accepted the heavy duty and departed right away. Bailord sighed seeing the scene that just occurred in front of him.
“Will he succeed that mission?”
Bailord asked.
“Dunno, but judging from his personality, he will going all out to find it. But, the chance he can do it is pretty slim. Those sealing beads are legendary items after all.”
Filma said.
“At least he won’t try to provoke Acedia’s Legion Members any further. Based on his report, those guys are quite strong.”
Bailord said.
“Just how strong they are?”
Fleis asked.
“I heard they were almost at the summoned hero’s level.”
Bailord answered. Fleis sighed in disappointment.
“Is that so? What a let down.”
He said.
“What do you think, Milord?”
Bailord asked Farma. Farma frowned and looked at Bailord with serious looks.
“Is this report true?”
He asked.
“It’s Lorgan’s report. I doubt he would include any falsehood. He’s a perfectionist workaholic after all.”
Filma said.
“If this is true, then it would be bad if we anger that person any further. He’s just like a wild card for us and the humanity.”
Farma said.
“Rather than wild card, he’s like a timed bomb.”
Bailord corrected him.
“Speaking of the human side, I heard from my cute pet that those Goddess’ dogs are plotting something.”
Filma said.
“Is that so? Those guys are never tired of annoying me. We need to prepare a countermeasure against them. Fleis, Filma, I entrust this in your hand.”
Farma said.
“As your wish, Milord.” “Consider it as done, Father.”
Fleis and Filma said at the same time. They left the room right after bowing at Farma.
“Bailord, I want you to contact one of Acedia’s Subordinates. I would like to apologize about Lorgan’s misdeed. Tell them that we had no intention of starting with him.”
Farma ordered.
“That’s quite dangerous mission you gave me.”
Bailord complained.
“I can’t entrust this mission to anyone but you, My Friend.”
Farma said.
“I got it. I’ll do it somehow. Though, it would take some time to track them down.”
Bailord said. He left the throne room afterward. Farma sighed and took out a parchment from his side. He opened it and read the content once again.
[Don’t offend Acedia Demon Lord at all cost. He’s a bad news in a lot of meaning.]
Such message was written.
“To think that Ohm-sama would warn me directly through my oracle, just how dangerous is that person?”
Farma muttered to himself.
