Dawn came on the exhausted rebel army. During the night, I secretly put in some relaxant incense on the fatigued rebels' tents and made every members to fall into a deep slumber except for Leo and the Rebel's Leader, Arlen. Of course, I made sure that Arlen didn't know that I was already in the camp with him.

Just according to the original plan, I had Leo to replace the communication device with dummy which was only an ordinary stone. After the device gathering was finished, I had him give them to me.

"With this, the enemy will lose their intel on our army."

I said.

I added. I looked at the tattered rebel's camp.

I replied. Ameralda giggled at my response.

"Maybe you should learn some of that reckless romance from him, Leo-sama."

Ameralda said.

"Isn't that impossible? Are you telling me to bust the national defense, crush the ceremony before it finished and escape with the bride while being pursued by a crazed groom and the whole knight corps and city guards?"

He said.

"Eh? You won't?"

Ameralda asked with surprised tone.

"If that case also happened to you..."

Leo said but stopped midway.

"I'll do my best."

He added. His determination somehow bit too shallow. If it were me I would have said no matter if the opponent is a nation, alliance nation, or demon lord union, as long as I stayed alive I would kept charging forward to stop anyone from stealing her from me.

Anastasia said.

I added. When I finished joked on that, I received a message from Fianna.

I said.

She said.

Anastasia said.

"Such wicked item. Where did he get that?"

I wondered.

"I think he took it from the royal treasury. I heard from father that many rare single-use items were stored there for the cases of emergency."

Leo deduced.

"That guy used that in this stupid farce? How foolish that king can be?"

I couldn't help but ridicule him.

'Milord, I have finished analyzing the enemy's force.'

Fianna contacted me.

"Tell me."

I said.

'The enemy mostly composed of heavy infantry, heavy cavalry, light cavalry, archers, and light infantry. There were several different units but their number is scarce.'

She said.

"Tell me the details of their numbers."

I said.

'At the front of their formation, they had 10 legions of heavy cavalry and there were two legions of light cavalry in the middle. Behind the cavalry, 40 legions of heavy infantry were ready to march with their weapons. Both left and right flank had 8 legions of light infantry and behind them; there were 30 legions of archers. On the furthest location, I could see the presence of siege weapons. 10 unit 30cm caliber magic cannons were put on standby. Each cannon was protected by two 15 meters class armored golem. Around the cannons there were also magician units present to operate and protect the cannons.

The Hero King and his Royal Guards moved toward the front formation on their horse. It seems like he was waiting for the cannons to be fully charged.'

Mother said.

"Actually, I don't want to kill them but in this situation, it's either killing or killed. I already left Sora with Fianna so their mobility shouldn't be a problem. In this situation, Leo is our king in term of chess. I need you stay behind to organize the army. Alicia, Ameralda, I want both of you to wake the soldiers. Alicia said.

Fianna warned me all sudden. I still haven't finished my explanation. I quickly concentrated my mana. I summoned my regalia. A single flag halberd with my dragon crest as the logo painted on it manifested in my hand.

I looked up. Silver lights descended toward us. I gritted my teeth and used my full power to stab the flag to the ground.

"Infallible Eden!!"

I activated its ability. Light wrapped us from above.

BOOM!!! BOOM!!! BOOM!! BOOM!!! BOOM!!! BOOM!!! BOOM!! BOOM!!

Continuous deafening explosions kept coming on our camp. When the light dissipated, the surroundings changed. Everything beyond 100 meters radius from my flag was scorched down and had a deep hole. The camp was safe but it became an easy target as the area beyond my regalia's protection had been wiped out.

"The usage of the zodiac symbols are allowed!! Operation Commence!!!"

I shouted. Karina darted out from her spot and departed like bullet. I approached Anastasia and handed her a magic bag.

"What is it, Ren-sama?"

She asked.

"It filled with vials of poison. Throw them at the enemy's ranks. No need for mercy."

I said. Anastasia widened her eyes.

"Yes."

She answered resolutely.

"Make sure to come back alive."

She said.

"You too."

I replied.

"Ren-sama..."

Alicia was calling for my name reluctantly.

"Alicia, since your mother whereabouts is still unknown, after this whole mess is over. Let's travel around and find her."

I said.

"Eh?"

Alicia was dumbfounded.

"And after that..."

"After that?"

"Let's get married. I'm already tired of this fiancé status hanging on myself."

I said. Alicia became cheerful and nodded happily.

"Then, I'm off."

I said before I ran toward the battlefield. I slowed down midway when I realized something crucial.

"I hope my words just now didn't trip the death flag."

I muttered before raising my speed once again. I leaped around and looked at the distance. Flashes of lights flying in straight line from single spot could be seen from the mountain.

"Fianna is already started. I need to join in right away."

I muttered. I gathered my mana and created a magic circle. The magic circle duplicated itself and became looked like a cannon. It was my favorite magic combination. I reached for my pocket and picked out several vials containing various liquids inside. I lazily threw the vials into the closest magic circle.

BOOM!!

The vial disappeared and an explosion occurred at the distance. I looked up voluntarily when I saw the flying magic beasts passed by. Anastasia had started her attacks. I shifted the magic circle barrel several times as I aimed at the approaching cavalry.

Chemical reaction occurred every time the vial broke and created a dust explosion. Each explosion would claim several knights along with their mounts within its range.

"Hmm?"

I stopped firing when I saw a single horseman approached me while being unscathed after receiving such strong explosion. I dispelled my magic circle and summoned my regalia replica, the spear of justice. I grabbed my spear and lunged it toward the approaching horseman, Daigo.

"I thought you're going to run away again, Ren."

He said as he parried my spear with his sword. He jumped from his horse and swung his sword at me. I stepped back as I lunged my spear forward. My attack was quite amateurish as I have no skill or job to support this style of combat.

I gathered my mana. I summoned my sacred treasure and readied my stance. Daigo who saw my battle stance snickered.

"I guess it's time to end this farce eternally."

He said. He took a communication tool which was similar with the ones I got from the traitors. He smirked and threw it casually at me. I dodged it as it was slow but then I realized it was a trap. The orb shaped object glowed beside me and the other orbs in my possession flew out voluntarily from my magic bag and flew around me in circular motion. When the last orb flew out, the orbs stopped moving and shattered into pieces.

"What was that just now?"

I asked as I readied my spear.

"Weeelll, I wonder about that."

He smirked disgustingly. I furrowed my eyebrows and readied my position. I ran forward. I lunged my spear at him with my full speed. Even I had no skill for it, my stats was enhanced by my level and with our level difference it should be enough to put some damage on him.

But, my expectation was shattered. When my spear made contact with his armor, it turned into small particles and disappeared along with my gauntlets. I widened my eyes and reflexively took some distance.

Daigo laughed maniacally.

"What's wrong, Ren Concerto? Where's your confidence from few moments ago?"

Daigo asked. I tried to summon my sacred treasure but no avail. I glared at Daigo.

"If you're not attacking, then I will!!"

He leaped toward me. His speed was faster from before. I leaped to the side. I created a magic circle to attack him with Arcane spell but my eyes widened when I saw that my magic circle evaporated before disappearing.

"What's wrong, great Ren-sama?"

He asked mockingly. He was grinning endlessly.

"EAT THIS!!!"

He swung down his sword. I leaped away to dodge. Dust rose to the air and I received some dust on my body. It was then I realized something was missing. I was unable to taste the dirt in my mouth. I glared at Daigo.

"This is... poison. No, a sealing magic isn't it?"

I said.

"Oooooooooooooh!!!"

He clapped his hands.

"Good work figuring it out. But, it's too late. Soon, I will defeat you and take everything from you!!"

He declared.

"That won't be easy feat you know."

I said. My mana was sealed that was for sure. My speed was getting slower as my physical ability was slowly got affected. I activated my inventory as fast as I could before it was sealed. I fetched out several magic rings from inside as well as the intelligent weapon I had checked before.

"Hou, it seems like you have some interesting items over there."

Daigo said. I unsheathed the sword.

"Oi! Wake up, you lazy sword!!"

I called the sword in my hand. There was no response.

"What? You got some screw loose after your magic sealed huh? Ren-sama?!!"

Daigo attacked with a magic wave. I tried to leap away but the speed of the attack was too fast. I swung my sword to block the wave when suddenly the sword gave a dark vibe.

"Oi, Oi! Isn't that a rude way to wake someone, chibi-suke!!"

The sword said. I was annoyed but there was no time.

"Sorry but I need a bit of your assistance here. I'm in a pinch."

I said.

"In a pinch? That doesn't concern me. Also, I only serve the one I- OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHH!!!!!!"

The sword became excited all sudden. It seems like he read my stats just now.

"That was an interesting sword you have there. Mind if I have that? It's a shame if it got sealed with you."

Daigo said.

"Shut it, you maverick swordsman!! This man is no doubt someone who is worthy be my wielder!!"

The sword said.

"For a mere sword to insult me!! I'll turn you into an ingot!!"

Daigo was provoked. He charged toward me. Suddenly I felt my hand was pulled by my sword. I escaped the attack and was floating or rather hanging on the floating sword.

"Master, I'm called Garm. Yours?"

"Ren. Ren Concerto."

I replied.

"Then, Master, let's beat this ugly swordsman right away."

Garm said.

"Yeah, but I'm starting out of option as the sealing process hasn't stopped."

I said.

"You should have the proper eye for this situation right? Use it. And for your lack of power, give me a bit of your blood and I'll help you."

Garm said.

"Alright. But the proper eye? AH!!"

I remembered that I had five more eyes in my dragon form.

"It seems like you still can't control your power properly. Well, whatever. Just give me your blood."

Garm demanded. He was helping me avoiding the attacks. I raised my left hand and bit my finger. With a single sweep I made the thin engraving on Garm's blade covered in my blood.

"YOSH!! CONTRACT HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED!!!"

Garm said excitedly. Suddenly my view changed. The colorful view turned into white and bluish. I looked at Daigo. He looked like a burning man in my eyes and there was reddish glow on his chest.

"This is your ability, Soul Eyes. With this, you can look into the people's soul. That red color means that he has impure soul. It seems like some demons have drugged him."

Garm said.

"Drug, huh? Is there any way out? We're out of time too."

I said.

"Just kill him. He'll lose the impurity along with his soul. That's the easiest."

Garm said.

"Other way?"

I asked.

"Then, use me to absorb that impurity. Cut him with my blade I'll suck his impurity. He'll lose half of his level and experience though."

Garm said.

"That's more desirable."

I said with motivation. I looked at my finger. Out of four rings, only one remained.

"We just have one chance before your consciousness is sealed."

He said. Daigo who was kept attacking like mad bull at me was started to gather more mana.

"Not good."

I muttered.

"DIE!!"

He attacked with highest output aura slash. The golden aura and magical wave was approaching me fast. Receiving it, my body was thrown to the air. I tried my best to hold Garms tightly. Daigo rushed to me to cut me half as I was unable to dodge.

"This is bad!! We can't dodge!!"

Garm panicked. My eyesight started to darken. It seems like the sealing had reached my consciousness.

"DIE!!"

Daigo swung down his sword. With my last strength I could muster, I threw my sword upward.

"Go, Garm."

I said weakly. The sword flew upward as I was thrown away by the shockwave. I wasn't worried of getting halved as my body was enhanced with runes inside. I was sure that my runes hadn't been sealed when I made a contract with Garm.

With the last trace of my consciousness I Garm was stuck on Daigo's shoulder. Daigo was screaming in agony as he clutched his head instead pulling out the sword from his wound. Before I could see the rest, my consciousness was cut from my body.
