The number of times her phone buzzed with calls from Dazai reached an uncountable level. Eventually, she texted him she was canceling whatever it was they were going to do tonight. Sitting in the cooling sand, she tugged her arms around herself. The cold was starting to bother her as she shivered. Looking up to the setting sun, she dialed the new member Atsushi. He surprisingly picked up on the first call. "Hello (Y/n). Can I help you with something?" lightly chuckling she sighed.
"Can you drive? I need a ride... and somebody to just rant over." she heard some talking in the background before hearing a hum of approval. Her fingers typed over the keypad, sending him her location. When he pulled around the beach, she lifted her dress and walked over to the car.
She was shocked to see a 14-year-old behind the wheel. Kyoka told her not to question it, so she didn't, simply staying silent until the question popped from her mouth. "Say you kissed your co-worker who you may or may not like, but then while out with your child-hood crush, who you definitely love, you kissed them... what do you do?" she mumbled watching Atsushi go from confused, too shocked, too worried. "Oh, and your child-hood crush also happens to hate the co-worker, but also be his ex-partner and sorta ex-best friend."
"Uh, did you kiss Dazai?" softly nodding the female looked out the window as they approached the empty woods surrounding her estate. "Okay, so you also kissed Chuuya...", nodding once more the female pouted softly. "Well, maybe make a pro and con list? Pick somebody?" The extremely poor love advice was paused when he and Kyoka draw-dropped to the size of her home. Slipping out of the car (Y/n) rushed inside and slammed the door shut. Tossing aside the dress, she slid out of the unraveling wet bandages. Leaving everything beside the door, her feet rushed over the wood and marble floors to her bedroom. Collapsing in the bed, she screamed into the pillow.

Having not been able to get any sleep the last night, she woke up and tossed on her usual clothes, and lazily finished dressing. She avoided Dazai all day at work. She couldn't look him in the eye after yesterday.
Days went on like this until it became a problem. Kunikida and the others noticed the tension and it was driving everybody mad. Dazai was moping about again. His work-load was getting done slower than usual. Kunikida slammed his hand onto her desk, eyes glaring, deadly daggers he spoke. "Alright what's going on here. If your ignoring him wasn't affecting the rest of us I don't think we would mind. But the tension is driving us all nuts (Y/n). It is not proper for the workplace! My schedule has been put off because Dazai is far behind with paperwork." looking up, the female buried her head in her hands.
"I'm going to tell him," Atsushi mumbled as (Y/n) bolted straight and glared.
"Don't you dare!" Atsushi gave an apologetic glance her way. He moved from his desk to the break area. Dazai was listening to that suicide song again.
Tapping his shoulder, Atsushi looked at him nervously. Glancing at him, Dazai almost smacked his hand with the full intention for it to hurt. Reeling back the urge, he sat up removing his headphones. "Yes Atsushi?" he asked.
"So, this really shouldn't be coming from me since it's about (Y/n)." he was sweat-dropping as Dazai's face fell to be completely unreadable. Not a single muscle in his face twitched.
"So what my mind came up with is right then?" he went back to reading his guide to suicide.
"She kissed-" his sentence was cut off as a certain female jumped onto him. Covering his mouth, she hissed like a child. Glaring daggers, she removed her hand from his mouth.
"She kissed Chuuya. I already knew, I was waiting for her to say it herself but I don't think that's going to happen." his tone was cold and distant. She knew that tone and it terrified her. "I'm also waiting for her to tell me something else." her heart skipped a beat as she stood up. Heart racing she felt herself panic. "Chuuya has a loud mouth (Y/n). I thought by now you'd know just how much I hate being lied to." her smart tongue decided to show itself. It was her defense mechanism in these situations.
"Aw, somebody but hurt, he got played and wasn't the player. Please, all I did was twist some words. You manipulate people like putty." standing up, she dusted her skirt. Aware of the button she had just pushed she kept her face masked. Innocence wrote itself over her face. Sticking her tongue out like a child. Those small actions hid the urge that had managed to suppress itself for weeks. "I'm clocking out early. I'm going home."
"Don't go do something stupid." rolling her eyes, she walked out the door. The facade dropped as she walked towards the abandoned streets of the slum. Pulling off her glove she slammed her fist against the brick wall of an old building.
"Fuck!" she shouted, angrier with herself. The words Dazai had spoken hadn't yet settled in, past a shallow meaning.
~
Dazai had to go for a quick cool down. Walking through the building as he huffed with frustration. "Dazai, what happened?" Kunikida asked only to hear from Atsushi.
"They kissed, then she kissed Chuuya." kunikida pinched the brim of his nose as he shook his head.
"I shouldn't have reacted like this though. I know she was afraid of telling me because she didn't want to get hurt. Her brains still wired to act like she's in danger 24/7." Dazai couldn't help slamming the wall in frustration.
"Her fiance was abusive right?" The question Atsushi asked was completely innocent, but seemed to have a negative effect on Dazai's already highly agitated mood.
"Yes, so of course she's going to keep things hidden because she doesn't want to lose everybody. She's been back for a little over a month now and things are already getting mixed up." Dazai took a seat at his desk.
"Go find her, apologize, tell her to take her time deciding." Dazai nodded looking at kunikida with an expressionless look.
~
Now she understood what he meant by doing something stupid. Running a hand through her hair, she groaned. "That was stupid." she huffed before facepalming. "So was that, and that." now she had blood on her face and in her hair. This is why she needed therapy. Bending over the body of the perv who had dared try and touch her, she clicked her tongue. Their blood and tossed-up, guts surrounded them. "Haven't gone this overboard since my parents." she had no idea how to cover this one up. Starting to clean up, she gagged a few times.
A soft clap echoed from behind her. Tilting her head in confusion, she turned around. Her eyes flew wide as her feet nearly tripped over the corpse behind her. She looked behind her to see if she could run, but there was no exit. She'd backed herself into a problem. "Happy early anniversary."
