ARC 3 Chapter 55

Unacceptable Aftermath

Three months of search fell in vain.

Lan Wangji narrows his eyes till its closes, eyebrows furrow, his hands on guqin forms into fist. "Wei Ying... everyone..." he mutters quietly.

Next to him is his older brother, carrying his xiao, hands gripping on it tightly, Lan Xichen knitted his eyebrows in helplessness. "Still, this is better than getting an answer from them, Wangji." Lan Xichen wanted to lift their spirits, that has been crumbling ever since they gotten the news of the fall of Wen Clan and Zhuque Sect. "If our soul summoning able to call them, it will be the cruelest result."

Lan Wangji couldn't help but to agree.

It is really could be the cruelest outcome for the missing head disciples of Zhuque Sect.

Cong Zhuliu was charged to guard a group of merchants crossing a well-known dangerous road. According to the merchants that gotten escape, they were attack by a group of bandits and along with them are members from falling sect Zhou Sect. Madam Lan, together with Cong Guixiu went and tries to find some traces of where or what happened to the lad, yet in vain.

Li Yang is seen by a passerby as he entered the rumored cave which contains Demonic sword. So, they at least expecting that he could still be inside the cave, but when explored by Madam Yu together with her son Jiang Cheng and Hua Xie, a disciple in House of Zhang at Zhuque Sect, they found no sign of him.

Myo Qing was last seen by the other former Wens of Dafan. During their trip back, something seems to catch Myo Qing's attention that she jumps at the carriage which shock everyone. Of course, they all try to ask her, and about to follow her but they gotten yell at by her, leaving the words: "Don't stop the carriage!" and "Keep going!" since then no matter who search for her, no one could find her.

After hearing of what happened to his older sister, Myo Ning decided to search for her by himself, yet he himself gone missing as well.

The seven days seclusion in Zhuque Mountain have finished yet no one came back, Tiao Liujuan and Wei Changze went to check the situation, yet they were shocked after finding the dead bodies of disciples. It was truly gruesome sights, the disciples didn't just kill via simply stabbing, or slashing but someone cuts their body parts and stitch it to others. Quickly, Tiao Liujuan and wcz went up the mountain, only got heartbroken seeing dried blood splatted all over the place.

Half of wisteria trees were tumble, and the grass and flowers were crash on some thing's weight.

Yet no matter how much and whenever they search, Tiao Reinshun is nowhere.

And finally, Wei Wuxian.

Three months of no clue of where everyone might be, their allies are starting to lose hope.

Seeing the corpses, everyone could tell that all Wen members have struggle to live, struggle to protect their clan, their families, yet these usurpers doesn't care as they all presented these corpses with glee and declaration of power against the other sects.

Who are the usurpers? It is none other than the lower sects, those who struggling to get in top, those do nothing but complaint about the achievements that prominent sects were receiving, those who blame the prominent sects just about everything.

Truth be told, the sect leaders of Nie Clan, Jiang Clan, Zhuque Sect, Lan Clan, Jin Clan and currently missing Wen Ruohan were getting tired of hearing.

Sun Shot Campaign or shooting down the suns which are the six sects that currently been reigning the top spots. The campaign are created by join forces of other sects, mostly those sects where the thousand disciples that complaints at Mt Baifeng Hunting Ground about Wei Wuxian and his siblings hording the preys.

According to Xiao Xingchen, a disciple from Sacred Mountain, the Sun Shot Campaign were led by some questionable insane people, which after hearing the names have made Cangse Sanren and the others cringe.

Wen Chao, Wen Xiu, Lady Qin Su, Su She and shockingly, Tiao Kanglin.

When Tiao Liujuan heard that his former sect and his daughter leading the march, Tiao Liujuan immediately realized that they are the caused of why Wei Wuxian and the others disappearance.

Much to Jin Zixuan disappointment, the missing Jin disciples are actually joined the campaign. Not that he cannot understand why. All members that went missing are those who cannot accept the fact that his brothers, especially Xingxiu Xuanyu, that they used to bullied is stronger and powerful than them. He could understand them but it's intolerable.

"The other day Wen Xiu announced that our sects must offer our loyalty and alliances to him, or else him and his campaign will kill us."

Deafening battle roars could be heard from the whole place of Nightless Castle.

Two cultivators narrow their eyes, and despite acting indifferent than the rest, no one take a noticed of their oddness.
