Chapter 06 Hidden You

Walking elegantly on the hallway is Tiao Shun or also known as Lady Lin.

Despite being younger than Wei Ying she's already showing beauty and grace, quite hard to see on girls on her age if not being watch.

"Good morning, Lady Tiao." greeted by some maids she passes by. Having taught of good manners by her father himself, Tiao Shun returns the greeting befitting to her status.

Tiao Shun is none other than the heir for the position of Head in House of Liu. In addition, everyone claims that she's the potential wife for the next sect leader, or maybe she's may become the next sect leader instead.

Being able to be out of others' sight Tiao Shun sighs, quite dishearten, 'If they just know the truth.'

Tiao Shun and everyone present in the place turns their heads and stops their works right after they heard an explosion coming from Cong GuiXiu's manor, and before anyone could think of bad occurrence they saw Cong GuiXiu appearance after he came out which makes their eyes almost leave their sockets, why? Because Cong GuiXiu is covered in different colors of powder all over him, from head to toe.

No one could be able to help but to secretly snicker at the incredible sight, fully aware who is the culprit.

Tiao Shun sighs, 'Again...'

But instead to get mad at the obvious culprit Cong GuiXiu catch Wei Ying and embrace him making sure the colored powder will get into the child as well.

"Young Master Wei is so spirited!"

"Yeah! The ZhuQue Sect has become lively after he came."

"Although, I am thankful that he is targeting the heads only!"

"Oh my! You never know. It probably nice to be prank by him once in a while!"

Having seen no such thing as problem, Tiao Shun continue her stroll carrying her dishearten feeling in her chest.

"Ah! A-Shun!"

"It's Lin, father." Tiao Shun bows to Tiao LiuJuan, who only smile.

"What is that explosion?"

"Young Master Wei pranks..." she pauses as she suddenly remembers something, "Sir Cong GuiXiu."

"I've told you many times that you can call them shufu, A-... Lin."

There's a pause between the father and daughter until Tiao Shun bows again, "This humble disciple Lin suggest that you see the situation yourself, as for sure you will have a good laugh at it."

Tiao LiuJuan sighs, "That so? Then what about you? What is your schedule for today?" that's not what he wanna ask, but he knew his daughter and what is she being through, he wanted to help but he didn't know how. Everyone advised to him to let her breathe first, that she will be just fine, that she is still young and has many chances to grow up. But Tiao LiuJuan asked, when is that?

"I'll be starting my lesson at House of Xing."

"I see... good luck then A-Shun."

Tiao Shun no longer answer and instead bows to him again. Tiao LiuJuan tries to reach her head to give a pat, but he retracted his hand back, as she fixes her structure.

Such an awkward atmosphere has created between the two, and Tiao LiuJuan doesn't know how to leave it. He only sighs and smile again at his daughter and finally with last word he left and went on where the entertainment is.

Tiao Shun watches his father's back with saddening look on her face, 'This is fine.' she sighs, 'Soon she will replace me here. That's why it's better not to get involve further with him, with them or live as who I am." her eyes narrows, 'In the end I'm just a discarding child.'

"Ah! Sister Shun!" Days later she hears Wei Ying calls her, but she didn't turn and pretends not hearing him. "Ah! Wait up Sister Shun!" Wei Ying pouted, "Tiao Shun!" finally she stops, and face Wei Ying who quickly stand to her side. She bows to him.

"Young Master Wei, my name is—"

"Tiao Shun!"

She frowns a little, "No. I'm Lin, Tiao Lin, please remember that."

Wei Ying tilts his head in confusion, "Why should I? It's not your name. Who it is? Tiao Lin, I mean. You are Tiao Shun after all. Why do you want to be call by someone else' name?"

That's the last straw for Tiao Shun, she just a child, they are both children, and so her patient is not that long. "Young Master Wei! Please I—"

"Why are you insisting on living as someone else'?"

Cat got her tongue as she doesn't know how to answer that—no, she knew how but even if she answers he'll never understand her at all.

"Brother Ying!" behind Wei Ying were Myo Qing, Myo Ning and Cong Liu (formerly known as Young Master Zhao) who are gave them both a bow.

Myo Qing, "It's time to our session in Yi House."

"Oh yeah, I totally forgot! I'll be surely scolded if we're late!" Wei Ying turns back to Tiao Shun, "Sister Shun—"

"It's Lin Young Master Wei!"

"Aren't you going with us?"

"My lesson for today is in Zhen."

Wei Ying grins, "Is that so? Then see you later Sister Shun!" then runs.

"It's Lin!" she screams, but Wei Ying is fast on his feet, so is the others, she only let out an exasperated sigh. "Why he doesn't get it?"

"Why are you insisting on living as someone else'?"

Tiao Shun narrows her eyes, much disheartened than ever, 'It's be really nice, if I really allow to.'

"A-Ying did you really called her 'Shun'?" Tiao LiuJuan asks to Wei Ying that afternoon.

Wei Ying beams, "I did!" proud, "Is there anything wrong with it?"

Tiao LiuJuan sighs and smile, "There's nothing wrong—at least on our end, but living as Lin is her way to protect herself."

"Protect herself?" confused, "From what?"

Tiao LiuJuan sighs, he is a child, only nine, would it be fine to tell him? Tiao LiuJuan takes this as chance, a chance to help his daughter, seeing Wei Ying able to saves several people already, like the DafanWens, Zhao Liu and even the Lan Clan, the last statement was unknown to Wei Ying.

The Head of Liu's House put his faith on Wei Ying as he finally tale him his daughter's past.

Tiao Shun has a twin sister named Tiao Lin.

Young maiden Shun was used to be living with Tiao Lin at their grandparents sects.

While Tiao Lin is loved by their grandparents, Tiao Shun was being abused physically by them.

After turning six, their father Tiao LiuJuan surprised them by coming to their grandparents' sect only to witness his youngest daughter, Tiao Shun getting slap and has her hair pull hard.

In their defends for doing those "punishments" they talked about a customer who taking a liking of her since she's a sweetheart, saying she's tarnishing her sister's reputation since they have same face.

On that very same day, very same time Tiao LiuJuan takes Tiao Shun in ZhuQue sect, ignoring his parents' complain about not taking his oldest instead, that she's far more suited to be the next madam of their sect.

Tiao LiuJuan asks why they are so different towards Tiao Shun, they answered rather proudly that Tiao Shun's birth mark is a bad omen that whoever gets close to her will meet their demise, Tiao LiuJuan couldn't believe what he just heard, for such a reason Tiao Shun has endure their cruelty.

Without looking back Tiao LiuJuan takes Tiao Shun back at ZhuQue Sect.

Yet Tiao LiuJuan get dishearten when Tiao Shun introduced herself as Tiao Lin, afraid that she will be abuse again if she uses her own name. Tiao LiuJuan swore that no one will hurt her, that she could live as her, but her grandparents scarred her deeper than he thought.

The broken-hearted father with advice from everyone let his daughter on what she's comfortable into.

Tiao Shun sighs as she get yet another prank from a certain lively young master in their sect.

This time Wei Ying free hundreds of butterflies in different colors but mostly purple ones and many varieties, inside her chamber.

Just what gotten into Wei Ying to target Tiao Shun? Although all of his pranks were harmless, it's still irritating at Tiao Shun' part, because she has to clean his mess.

Tiao Shun sighs for the second time since she woke up, and stay quiet before she opens her eyes, and her face darkens with an evil grin.

Wei Ying felt a shiver on his spine.

Myo Qing, "Cold?"

"No, I don't think so."

The next day Wei Ying woke up by a wet, yet rough feeling on his cheek, plus rolls of pleads from a familiar feral he tends to see way back at Yilling. He opens his eyes that quickly widen in bewilderment seeing his bed chamber is full of different kinds, sizes, and colors of stray cats that keeps meowing at him asking either for food or affection.

Myo Qing is snickering; Myo Ning has awkward smile and Cong Liu is trying his best not to burst.

"Just laugh as you like!" Wei Ying despite getting prank doesn't really mad, more like he is happy.

Myo Qing, "She finally retaliate~"

(Former Young Master Zhao) Cong Liu nodded, "Yeah, finally. It took so much effort just to break her shell."

Myo Ning, "Is this means we didn't have to go into the mountain again just to fetch some bugs?"

"Hmm..."

"Young Master Ying," Tiao Shun appears in front of them and bows with refreshing smile and— "that some cute companies you have!"

Wei Ying and the rest smiles as they sees how refreshing her face now.
