Yuya sighed as he studied the computer screen the next afternoon. His counterparts were all out of the house at the moment. Yuto was hanging out with Shun and Ruri, Yuri was at the movies with Dennis and Sora, and Yugo was having a riding duel with Rin. Yuya had opted to stay home and practice building in Reality Bytes.

At the moment, Yuya was working on a house that he'd envisioned in his head earlier. It seemed to be coming along very nicely, much better than anything he'd ever built before. It was quite large too, currently consisting of sixty-one rooms total with a symmetrical floorplan. The tomato-head hoped he would be able to finish it before his counterparts got home. He wanted it to be a surprise for them!

There was a knock at the door, and the boy jumped, frantically turning off the computer monitor to hide what he was working on. Then, Sawatari's voice called out from the other side of the door. "Yuya! Reiji and I came to visit you!"

"Oh, thank god, it's you guys!" Yuya sighed in relief. "I thought you were my counterparts, heh! Come on in!"

"Do you not want your counterparts in here?" Reiji asked as he and Sawatari walked into the room. Yuya shook his head. "Not at the moment, no. I'm working on a surprise for them, but I'm kinda struggling. Actually you know what? I'm really happy you two came by! Maybe you can give me some advice!"

"Oh, what are you working on?" Sawatari asked as he and Reiji sat down on either side of Yuya. The tomato turned the computer monitor back on, and showed his boyfriends the house he was building.

"Oh, that's quite nice!" Reiji said, impressed. Sawatari nodded in agreement, "Yeah, I can already see it's going to be amazing when you finish!"

"Thanks!" Yuya said, beaming with pride. "Thing is, I'm having trouble filling all the space without making it look like I just threw a bunch of stuff together." He was moving the camera around to show them the house, when he noticed something. "Ack! I forgot the doors to the saunas! Nooo!"

Sawatari chuckled as Yuya frantically added doors to the doorless saunas. "Wouldn't want anyone to get trapped inside!" the blonde said. Reiji raised an eyebrow. "How would they get trapped inside if there's no doors to enter in the first place?"

Yuya moved to an empty room on the second floor, and thought for a moment. Then he added a square stone platform to the center of the room, and then a second square, wooden platform diagonal on top of it, with a small wall in the middle. "What do you think of this for breaking up the space in this room? I'm thinking it could be a family mausoleum, where the urns of Folks can be placed on little altars over the generations, along with flowers, candles, and incense, and photos of the deceased Folks on the walls above their urns."

As he spoke, Yuya added little altar-like console tables with tablecloths along the walls, four on either side of the room and two on either side of the wall on the diagonal platform. He added little decorative urns, flowers, and incense holders onto the console tables and paintings on the walls. "This all is just placeholder stuff, y'know?"

"That looks great, Yuya!" Reiji said. Yuya beamed and moved up one level to a room directly above the mausoleum. "This room would be perfect for a seance room! It's right above the mausoleum, so if I just..."

He placed a diagonal square stone platform in position right over where the mausoleum platform was, then moved to a room on the ground floor and grabbed a table from it, which he placed on top of the platform. Upon closer inspection, Reiji and Sawatari noticed that it seemed to have a crystal ball on it. Yuya then added a little rug under the table. "There, what do you think?"

"That could work!" Sawatari said. "Just needs a little decorating, and it'll look great! What's up those stairs?" He pointed at a pair of L-shaped staircases in the room.

"Ahaha!" Yuya giggled. "That's the attic! My favorite room! It's got a little secret surprise that I'm not going to show you just yet!"

"Alright, fair enough!" Sawatari said, though now both he and Reiji were very intrigued. What could possibly be in the attic to make it Yuya's favorite room?

Yuya hummed as he searched through the furniture catalog, selecting and placing a plant, a sofa, two console tables, a cabinet, and a couple of paintings. "How does that look?" he asked.

"Very nice!" Reiji said, and Sawatari hummed in agreement. Yuya looked pleased and moved down to the ground floor again. "There's really only a couple rooms that I'm really having trouble with," he admitted. "The gym here and that massage parlor."

"Can you add wall mirrors to the gym?" Sawatari suggested. Reiji said, "Add lockers and a place to shower after a workout."

"Hmm, lockers and showers might be tricky, since there's a laundry room over here," Yuya said, showing them the laundry room that was just off the gym. Then he got a contemplative look on his face. "Unless..."

He moved the gym equipment a bit and added a wall, splitting the room in two almost in half. Then he added a smaller room in the slightly smaller section and began adding furnishings. One room became a nice little locker room, the smallest room became a bathroom with a shower, and Yuya rearranged the gym equipment and added a wall of mirrors with backlights as well as a few rugs. "Eh?"

"That looks good!" Reiji said, ruffling Yuya's tomato fluff. Sawatari nodded in agreement. "The rugs really help define the space!"

"Alright, onto the massage parlor!" Yuya said, moving to that room. "Hmm... what if..."

He searched through the catalog again until he found the items he was looking for, some waterfall walls that he lined the walls behind the massage tables and chairs, as well as between the two sauna rooms. Then he added some wooden partitions with candles between the chairs and tables. "How's that?"

"I really like it!" Sawatari said. "It looks like something from a spa!"

"Perfect!" Yuya said. "That's exactly what this room, the saunas, and the room next door are supposed to be. This one is the massage parlor, the one next door is the zen room for yoga and meditation, and the saunas are saunas. Speaking of the zen room..." He moved to the zen room and lined the walls with the same mirrors that he'd added to the gym.

"It's looking great, Yuya!" Reiji said. "I think you're really improving on your skills. You said you were having trouble furnishing it, but you're doing really well!"

"Well, I do have you guys here to help," Yuya said modestly. "Ah, but the hallways are going to be a real pain to decorate. You both have big houses, right? What do you put in your hallways?"

"Mainly paintings and console tables," Sawatari said. Reiji nodded in agreement, "I've got a few statues in my halls, too."

"Mm..." Yuya looked distastefully at the massive hallway. "Think I'll save them for last... Okay, now I need to figure out how to add some greenery to my house. There's this Life Goal for a mansion, and it requires several thousand ByteCoin's worth of landscaping to fulfill it. Thing is, there's not a lot of space to put landscaping, since I've turned the beach into a playground for kids."

"Rooftop garden," Reiji and Sawatari said together. Yuya blinked and moved to the roof. "I mean, I already roofed the house but I can definitely see if I can add a rooftop garden."

He began fiddling with the roof, eventually deleting two sections in the back. "Gotta be symmetrical. I'm thinking two rooftop gardens with balconies."

"Perfect!" Sawatari said. "I've got a rooftop garden at my house myself!"

"So do I," Reiji said. "It's a nice place to relax after a long day."

"I know right?" Sawatari agreed. "Mine has a place to sit and watch the sunset, too! Or read in the sun."

"I enjoy looking at the cityscape at night, seeing how different it is than how it is in the daylight," Reiji replied. Sawatari nodded in agreement, "Rooftop gardens are great places to hangout and socialize too! And also to get away from people you don't wanna interact with!"

Yuya was listening to them talk, but he was also busy working on his rooftop garden in his build. After a while, he proudly said, "Eh? Eh?"

The little section of former roof was now a luscious and vibrant garden space. The floor was covered in green grass with a red hibiscus tree in the center, surrounded by a thick carpet of purple bougainvillea flowers arranged in a circle around the tree. Lining the two sides of the garden up against the house walls were red ixora hedges. The two other sides of the garden were lined with a balcony fence.

"Oh that looks beautiful!" Sawatari said happily. Reiji nodded in agreement, and Yuya smiled brightly as he clicked on the garden, copied the room, and placed the copy on the other side of the house to make it symmetrical.

"Wait, you can copy rooms like that?" Sawatari asked, surprised. Yuya grinned. "Yeah, I was surprised too, but it made making the house shell easy, since I was able to just copy the empty rooms and place them where I wanted. Plus, I kinda was sneaky and just made all the bedrooms nearly identical by copying them. And all the closets and bathrooms are identical too. Except for the gym bathroom, heh."

"Well, that does seem to make things easier, huh?" Reiji said. "I'd love to see the bedrooms."

Yuya smiled and moved the camera to one of the bedrooms. It was actually right next to one of the new rooftop gardens. The bed was against the garden wall, with a little dining table near the foot of it against a pair of floor-to-ceiling windows. The dining table had two computers on it with two chairs. Against the wall opposite of the bed was what appeared to be a video streaming setup. There was a rug on the wooden floor and a painting on the wall next to the bed beside the door.

"Each bedroom has a different special activity," Yuya explained. "This room's activity is streaming. There's a bedroom with a candlemaking table, there's one with a woodworking table, one with a 3D printer, and so on. What do you think?"

"It looks nice, but I think you could add windows to the garden wall, and move the bed to the wall with the painting," Reiji suggested. Yuya tilted his head, doing as Reiji suggested. He moved the painting over the streaming setup and then lit up. "Hey, this means I can swap the dining table out for two desks for the computers! There's enough space now with the slight re-positioning of the bed!"

He added a couple of desks, one against each set of windows opposite of the bedroom door and moved the chairs and computers to them. Then, after some consideration, he added two nightstands next to the bed, each with a candle. "Yeah?"

"Perfect!" Sawatari and Reiji said together. Yuya grinned and started rearranging each of the bedrooms to match. Sawatari blinked when he saw that the second floor consisted almost entirely of bedrooms. "How many bedrooms do you have?"

"Ten, each with its own walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom," Yuya replied. Then he paused. "Actually, does the nursery count as a bedroom? It's only got beds for toddlers, cribs for infants, and bassinets for babies... But it does have an ensuite bathroom, just not a walk-in closet."

"Eh, I'd say a nursery doesn't really count as a bedroom," Sawatari said. "They wouldn't have a whole different word for it if it did."

"Alright, time for the worst job of all," Yuya sighed. "The halls..."

"Show us the decoration options," Reiji said, leaning a bit closer to the computer. Yuya obliged, showing his boyfriends the decoration catalog. Reiji studied the decorations and the hallway, then asked, "Would you prefer to make them identical or unique?"

"Oh, I'm definitely open to making them identical," Yuya replied. "Much less struggling. Thing is, they don't all have the same amount of archways and doors as each other."

Reiji pointed at a few of the paintings and wall sculptures, then at the walls. "Put those paintings here, here, here..." He pointed at the spots and Yuya placed the designated paintings where he said. "And then these wall sculptures on either side of these four paintings here."

The second floor hallway now looked very nice, and Yuya was quite pleased. As he moved down to the ground floor, Sawatari piped in. "You should add some console tables between those archways, and some flowers on the tables."

"Oh, that's a good idea!" Yuya said, doing as he was told. Sawatari beamed and said, "Oh, and add these wall decorations above them. And then those two sculptures on either side of the massage parlor door, since it's in the center of the hallway."

"Add those two paintings to that wall, with those wall sculptures on either side of them again," Reiji said. "And then those little tapestries to either side of Sawatari's sculptures."

"I think it's turning out really well!" Yuya beamed. "One more hallway left! Third floor!"

"So I'm thinking these paintings again, but there's not as much room to fit those wall sculptures between them," Reiji said. Sawatari nodded, "So maybe pillars against the walls? I saw some pillars on the corners of the house when you were making the rooftop gardens."

"Oh, yeah, those would work!" Yuya agreed, adding the paintings and pillars. After a moment's consideration he added a long yellow sectional runner rug along the length of each hallway.

"That looks very good!" Reiji said. "And the rug helps break up the space too! It's not just a lot of brown wood flooring anymore!"

"Yeah!" Yuya agreed. "I think I'll also add some curtains over all the glass windows and the archways too."

Reiji and Sawatari watched him do just that, very proud of their shared boyfriend. It was obvious that he'd been working very hard on his house all day, and they were both very happy that they could help him make it what he wanted it to be.

"Yay! I think it's done!" Yuya cheered as he looked his house over one more time. "Thanks guys!"

"Just one more thing," Sawatari said. Yuya and Reiji looked at him, and he looked at Yuya. "Can we see what the attic looks like? Please, Yuya? I wanna see why it's your favorite room!"

Yuya hesitated, then said, "Well, I do wanna add those wall sculptures to it. So I guess... If you guys promise not to tell anyone! Not your papa, not Reira, not my counterparts, not anyone!"

"We promise!" Reiji and Sawatari said together. Yuya grinned as moved up to the attic, giggling like a maniac. Reiji and Sawatari looked at the attic, then just stared.

"Yuya," Reiji said. "Why, exactly, is there a bowling alley in the attic?"

Yuya giggled some more, clearly very pleased with himself. "Because it was the only place it would fit!"

"Why do you need a bowling alley?" Sawatari asked, bewildered. Yuya looked at him with wide eyes. "I'd have a bowling alley here in my house if I could! I love bowling! Hey, we should go bowling together sometime, the three of us!"

"Well, that would be fun," Reiji agreed. Sawatari nodded, "Yeah, how about this next Saturday?"

"I'm free then," Reiji replied. Yuya bounced in his seat, "Me too!"

"Well, then, it's settled!" Sawatari said.
