Hello peoples
Enjoy~
(Y/n)'s POV
Ururaka finished putting sunscreen on my back and I slipped my shirt back on, covering up the embarrassing swimsuit. At this point, I might as well just give up. After spending a majority of the night last night resting against Kacchan's shoulder, I wasn't feeling all that great. I flipped my braids over my shoulders and slipped on my flip flops.
We were all headed to the beach for a game of volleyball of those who wanted to play. I was planning on swimming a little and perhaps making a sandcastle with Deku. He was always really good at that when we were kids, though we hadn't been to the beach in a long while.
There was a warm lake nearby where we would be hanging out, rather than an ocean. Ururaka and I headed down a mossy trail towards the beach. She had volunteered to stay behind with me since we both woke up a little later than most.
"It's gorgeous out," she commented and I nodded, glancing around. "So, what did you do last night?"
"Slept?" I asked.
"Before or after you snuck out?" She asked, her hands clasped behind her back. My attention was abruptly brought to her innocent expression.
"I just went for a walk."
"With?"
"Myself?"
"So when Deku said Bakugo was gone the same time you were..."
"Must've missed him," I replied, shrugging my shoulders.
"Mmhmm," she hummed, discontent with my answer. "And when you didn't eat dinner in the dining hall, it wasn't with Bakugo?"
"Nope," I replied, simply.
"Oh my God, why are you lying?"
"Why are you asking if you already know?" I chuckled and she pouted.
"What are you two dating or something?" she asked.
"Why? Jealous?"
"Gah! I don't want to date him!"
"Who said him? Wow I'm hurt, you don't want to date me?" I teased and I watched her cheeks puff up.
"Ugh," she grit her teeth.
"Okay, okay, we're not dating because he's the worst and I overused my quirk during dinner last night so he helped me inside. The only reason he ate with me because it's eating with 1 loser versus all the losers," I said. "Although you are very fun to mess with Kirby."
"Hey! I do not look like Kirby!"
"Keep telling yourself that." She shoved me and I laughed to which she giggled slightly. "I like giving you a hard time."
"I know," she replied. She kicked a rock to which it landed in some sand, which meant we were close. "Hey quick question?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you really hate Bakugo?"
"Yeah, pretty much," I agreed.
"Really?" She persisted and I glanced her direction. It seemed that more and more people believed that we had different opinions of each other. I disliked Kacchan, truly.
"You now too? Mina and Kami both think we like each other," I stated, crossing my arms across my chest.
"I don't know, there's a fine line between love and hate," she said.
"Yeah right," I scoffed before we broke off the path and spotted the rest of the class on the beach.
"Hey (y/n), you know when I invited you to the boys side I didn't think you'd take the offer," Denki said smugly and I rolled my eyes at him.
"How the nosebleed issue? Are you sure you're going to be able to handle all these half naked people on the beach?" I smirked back at him and I could tell he was holding back a blush the best he could.
"You have a surprisingly exquisite body, temptress," I glanced to Mineta, feeling my face scrunch up and Ururaka took my arm.
"Let's go," she murmured and I saw Izuku wave at us. I waved back, leading Ururaka over to where he sat and away from Denki and Mineta.
"(Y/n)! Shoto has never made a sandcastle before, can he make one with us?"
"Sure," I replied, smiling. I noticed now that Izuku was calling Todo as Shoto, which meant that they had talked.
"Wait, we're making sandcastles? I want to make one!" Ururaka said, plopping down in the sand beside the two boys. I sat beside and dampened the sand so it would stick. Izuku went to work with the base and Shoto watched politely, looking from over my shoulder. We finished quickly with 4 people helping and I placed a shell Ururaka went to find at the top.
"It is a castle of sand," Todoroki said.
"It sure is," Ururaka replied, smiling towards Todoroki. "Can you make this into glass?"
"Yes, although I'm not sure that would turn out too well," he replied.
"What about this, can you freeze an entire lake?"
"I'd rather not," he said, standing and brushing off his trunks.
"Half?"
"That's not how this works," he replied.
"Perhaps we could discuss this while getting food?" Ururaka asked.
"Ururaka, he's not going to freeze the lake," I said.
"Not with that attitude he won't!"
"The fish would die."
"What about global warming? What can you do about that?" She asked, walking beside him to the food stand. I glanced to Izuku who shrugged.
"How's it going?"
"I mean, it's going," I replied, leaning back into the hot sand.
"Still embarrassed from yesterday?" He asked. I paused, trying to connect what he was talking about in my head. I had almost forgotten.
"I'm actually good now," I replied, brushing him off.
"That's good," he replied, smiling into his childish cheeks.
"I don't really know about how much more embarrassment I can take," I sighed.
"More?" I glanced around the beach to see most everyone was busy.
"Look what Mina and Ururaka picked out for me to wear," I said, tugging open the neck of my shirt. Izuku glanced down and saw the orange, quickly glancing back up at me.
"Oh...oh no," he said and I nodded.
"There's a reason why I don't wear this color I look like the damn Firefox logo," I said, tugging at my silvery-blue hair. "Kacchan's going to have a fit."
"They're not his colors, he doesn't own them," Izuku struggled and I sighed.
"It's fine, might as well at this point."
"Let's just go swimming then," he said, tugging off his shirt. I saw Aoyama glitter across the sand to turn on a speaker system. Music started playing and I grimaced, tugging off my own cover up clothes. Izuku noticed my expression and frowned. "Look, don't worry about it. All you have to worry about is CATCHING ME!"
I watched him take off across the sand and I grinned sprinted after him. We both ran across the beach, laughing and out of breath before we slowed from the lake weighing down our feet.
"Careful! Do not fall!" Iida warned from across the beach as a self appointed safety officer. I collapsed into the lake, feeling more in my element. I felt cool and fluid. I slipped out of the surface to spot Izuku grinning in my direction.
"Can't catch me anymore huh?"
"Look, it's not my fault you train like it's your life," I said. We swam for a long time before I grew slightly bored of it. Izuku shook the water from his hair and I grimaced. "Dude! What are you a dog?" I squeezed the water from my hair on him and he leapt back.
"You meanie!"
"Meanie! Oh my God you are like 8," I squealed. We were just headed back when someone noticed my forgotten suit.
"I've never seen you in orange before (y/n)," Kaminari said. "I thought you would get yellow so we could twin!"
"Yeah no," I replied.
"It reminds me a lot of..." he gasped and I widened my eyes, shaking my head. The commotion had brought just about everyone's attention.
"What the—" I glanced over at Kacchan who was utterly baffled.
"What?" I asked, playing dumb.
"YOU GUYS ARE SWITCHED." Kami exclaimed. I furrowed my eyebrows to see that Kacchan was wearing dark blue shorts. My jaw dropped and he snarled.
"This is bullshit, why are you wearing orange?!"
"It's just a color! Mina and Ururaka picked it out for me. Why are you wearing blue?"
"I like the color blue!"
"Oh my God, I'm in tears right now," Kaminari said, wiping at his eyes. Both Kacchan and I glared at him. Ururaka pulled me away from the conversation to eat and that seemed to be end of it, at least to everyone but Denki.
"Yo (y/n)!" I glanced up to Kirishima running towards me just as I finished my slice of watermelon. "We need another person for volleyball and Mina says you're good!"
"Uh, sure," I replied, hopping up and dusting away the sand on my bottom. I followed Kirishima to his side of the court where Mina was. Kacchan, Kaminari, and Sero were on the other side. Kacchan eyed my outfit again and I smirked slightly.
"You really want her to play?" He asked.
"Why? Scared you'll lose?" I asked and he sneered at me.
"We'll see."
"We get first serve!" Mina called, quickly lobbing the ball over the net and suddenly beginning the game. Sero bumped it back to our side to which I smacked across and scored a point.
"Woah! Nice!" Kiri said, high-fiving me. I grinned, glancing at Kacchan's team with a smug look. Mina served again, this time the other side winning.
"Wait, wait, what are the stakes for this game?" Kaminari asked, grabbing the ball. "I say I kiss from the opposing team?"
"Look, you can't just treat Kirishima like an object like that," I said, placing a hand on Kiri's shoulder. Kaminari stuttered as Mina shrieked with laughter.
"Not him," he said.
"You sure? He's our cutest team member," I said, placing a hand on Kiri's shoulder. "Though you probably already knew that."
"Would you quit it and just serve Dunce Face?" Kacchan huffed.
He did and we scored. It went on like that, back and forth for a while until we were tied at 20. Everyone on the beach had eventually gathered around.
"Prepared to lose extras?" Kacchan taunted and I grit my teeth. I served, Kaminari bumping it across and Mina saved it. It went back and forth for a minute before Kacchan spiked it. I dove for it, smacking it as hard as I could, only for it to slam into the net. I flopped back into the sand on my back from where I dove on my stomach.
"You good?" Mina asked, hovering over me. I could hear the cheers from the opposing team.
"Yeah," I groaned, holding up a hand for her to help me up, but I quickly winced in pain when she grabbed my hand.
"You sure?" She asked, taking my other hand.
"I think I hit the ball too hard, my wrist is killing me," I replied, gripping it in my other hand.
"So how does losing feel?" Kacchan pestered.
"I think a kiss is in order now!" Kaminari reminded us.
"Kiri is right here," I said, stepping aside. "Besides, we never shook on it or even verbally agreed."
"Well shake on it now!" I held up my wrist, shaking my head.
"Sorry."
"Whatever, we still won!"
The class began to move as a whole back to the cabin for a few games. Mina walked beside, carrying my drawstring backpack over one shoulder.
"You sure you're good?"
"Yeah, I can move it. I just think I need ice," I said. "Thanks for carrying my bag."
"You need ice?" I jumped slightly at Todoroki behind me and I glanced around.
"No, you don't have to—" he had already made a small chunk of ice to which he wrapped in my beach towel. He handed it to me and I smiled. "Thanks."
"No problem, excuse me," he said. "Midoryia!" I grinned to myself as I watched him catch up with Izuku. Mina glanced at me and then to Todoroki, connecting the pieces. She gasped and I shook my head violently to keep her quiet. We'd talk later.
When I made my way back to the cabin, I headed for the shower after the ice had mostly melted. It felt much better, but I couldn't roll it very easily. I washed the lake from my hair and put on warmer clothes to combat the cold wet hair on the back of my neck and the temperature dropping with the sun. I glanced at Tsu who was crouched on her own bunk, fixing her hair.
"Where's everyone at?"
"Boys dorm, want to walk with me?" She asked, resting the tip of her index finger along the corner of her mouth and I nodded. We were the last one to make our way there and I sat next to Izuku.
"We're playing what are the odds," Izuku said. "I have no idea how to play." I smirked slightly.
"Why are we playing this game?"
"Truth or dare seemed too basic and everyone trashed the spin the bottle idea. Thank All Might," he sighed and I snickered, leaning up against him.
"Alright, so how this works is that someone asks 'what are the odds that' followed by some ridiculous task or dare," Denki explained. "Then the person asked and the person asking throw out a number on their hand 1-5 and if they match the person has to do the dare."
"What?" Ururaka asked.
"Okay, so for example let's say I ask you 'what are the odds that you jump off the top bunk'. We both count and throw out fingers on one hand." They both threw out numbers, Uru with 4 and Denki with 3. "Since they aren't the same number you don't have to do it."
"Oh I get it."
"This is dangerous, no students should be jumping off any sort of furniture," Iida said, disapproving. He was sat to the side with a few others who refused to play.
"Alright, alright, who wants to go first?" Denki asked and Ururaka raised her hand.
"I have one." She glanced over at me and I eyed her warily.
"(Y/n), what are the odds that you tell present mic that you're secretly in love with him?"
"What?! That's insane!" I said.
"What are the odds?" I sighed at her persistence. We both threw out a 4. "No!"
"Haha! Have fun!" She said and I grimaced. "I'll be behind you. Recording." I stood up and she followed. We made our way to the teacher's dorm and I knocked. Aizawa swung the door open, peering down at me.
"Why are you outside your dorm?" He asked.
"Um, I have to ask Present Mic a question," I said. He eyed me and disappeared for a moment into the room.
"What's up kid?!" Present Mic asked. "Question?"
"Uh, well, I don't know how to say this to you, but I think...I'm in love with you?" I choked. He still grinned at me, but for once in his career I had rendered him speechless.
"That's not a question."
"I know, I just had to let you know," I replied.
"Well, I'm afraid I'm a teacher and you are a student." I suddenly realized how ridiculous I must sound and I started to giggle. "What?"
"I'm sorry, I was just dared to do this and I can't take myself seriously. You can give me a detention if you want, I honestly don't know what to say," I laughed and he peered at me curiously.
"Killer dare! You really had me there!" He said, offering up a high five.
"Wait, I'm not in trouble?"
"Nah, just head back to the dorm kid! Stay out of trouble," he said, smiling obnoxiously at me. I smiled back, heading for Ururaka.
"He's got to be the coolest teacher ever to exist," Ururaka said, glancing back at the now closed door.
"That was weird."
When we returned the video was shared, though it really wasn't as good as people thought. If it had been Aizawa, I would certainly have a detention at this point. A few other people were dared to do things, though most people avoided the odds. It wasn't long before Denki himself had directed an odd at Kacchan.
"Bakugo, what are the odds that you..." Denki looked at me. "Make out with (y/n) right now." I felt my stomach sink to my toes and my face went slightly pale.
"Wait woah, why was I dragged into this?!" I asked, shifting uncomfortably.
"I don't know," he said, placing his hand behind his back, ready to throw.
"Wait, I never agreed to this!" I protested, but they were already counting down. Denki threw out a 5 and I glanced quickly over to Kacchan.
Out came a 3.
I let out a sigh of relief and the game continued on. There was absolutely no way I was kissing Kacchan. Not for some dumb game. Not for...anything. A few other people went before Iida insisted that it was time to retire. I lingered with Izuku while people started hanging back.
"You'd think Denki would want you to kiss himself, not Kacchan," he said.
"That's a long story and besides the point, but seriously that's terrifying. What if it had matched?" I asked.
"Well it didn't, so nothing to worry about," he said. I pursed my lips, nodding before I started back to the dorm with the rest of the girls. I fell asleep promptly from the exhaustion of the day, though the thought still probed my mind. I woke up in the middle of the night, sweating terribly despite the cool breeze from the window. I stepped out into the hall, breathing slightly heavy. I felt like I was on fire.
"Do you ever sleep?" Kacchan asked from where he was leant up against the wall.
"Seems like you don't either," I quipped, setting my head against the wall and shutting my eyes. When I opened them again, Kacchan had moved silently to stand in front of me. "What are yo—"
"What would you have done if I threw out a 5?" He asked, tilting his head to gaze at me.
"What?"
"Earlier, what if I threw out a 5?"
"I don't—"
"Imagine if I had," he interrupted, placing a hand on the wall behind me and trapping me.
"I—"
"I didn't want to do a 5 in front of all those extras," he said, leaning into me.
"Kacchan—"
"Why can't you just call me Katsuki?" He asked lowly, his breath panning over my face. What was happening? I felt like I was suffocating. He leaned in and pressed his lips against mine, placing his hands at my sides. He tugged me up to wrap my legs around him, using his strong hands and arms to hold me. I felt my eyes widen, staring at his closed ones, his lashes resting gently on his cheeks. I shut my eyes, running my fingers up through his surprisingly soft hair and he growled slightly. I felt myself getting hotter and hotter, my face completely red. He pulled away peppering my cheek, jaw and neck with kisses and soft nips to which my breath became erratic.
"And when you wore my favorite color today, that wasn't a mistake was it. Trying to get to me," he breathed, his breath hot over my skin.
He kissed me again and I felt him tug at my bottom lip with his teeth and I let out a sharp breath, gripping onto him. I felt my stomach tingle and my heart nearly beat out my chest, so hard I began to grow distracted from the wonderful feeling by the loud beating in my ears. Why can't I focus on him? Why do I want to focus on him?
"And seeing you, just a towel last night. Laying your head on my shoulder. You must be joking," he said, pressing up against me, my back firmly against the wall. This was so out of character for the both of us, it made no sense, but I let out a heavy sigh of content as he kissed me. This was far better that I could've ever imagined, not that I had.
"Katsuki." This spurred him on and I tugged harder on his hair, though I couldn't really feel my hands. I was becoming quite numb as the beating in my ears became louder and I urged for the feeling to come back and flood over me again. I didn't want to let go but I was losing it.
I jolted
