The children were also teary-eyed. 

"mother let's go" Zuan Xi tugged at her clothes lightly.

"hmm, let's go to the nearest village" she nodded as she held their hands tightly after caressing the jade ring on her finger.

She sighs inwardly and glances at the place they used to live once more filled with nostalgia. Her nose soured as her eyes started watering again.

The three of them quietly leave the place and head to the nearest village according to the old monk's disciple's direction which was half a day away from here. She hasn't been to the village before as far as she remembered as they don't have money to buy anything at all.

On their way, they meet countless spirit beasts in the forests but Zhan wemei dealt with them skillfully. Her strength was explosive and she thought it was just normal, her kids have unparalleled skills and strengths too.

Not long after their journey becomes peaceful as the spirit beasts hide away from them.

Zhan wemei was quiet and in deep thought along the way. Now that she thought of everything carefully, that temple was indeed weird. Although it was near the village she haven't seen anyone come there to pray.

Half a day later they arrived in the village at a relaxed pace, they didn't have many things with them so it wasn't troublesome. Besides the old man giving Zuan Xi and Zian Xi a storage ring each, she was envious of them because she didn't get anything. Who would have thought that old man would be so generous to give her his spatial realm?

Once they arrived in the village the two children watched around nervously at first, but soon after they started enjoying the bustling people doing their stuff.

They just buy some stuff in the village first like clothes and salt before leaving. The old man's disciple was kind enough to give them a thousand taels before they parted so they spend some.

It was enough for them to spend for the rest of their lives if they live in this village but Zhan Wemei was a spendthrift person so she bought some fancy things for herself and for her kids like boots, clothes, and accessories.  She also bought some food and sweets and pastries for the kids. They were still in a village and the quality of goods was not that high, so she just bought a few casually.

"we should buy a carriage but I don't know how to drive it so we should just hire a coachman. Besides we don't know where the nearest city is" Zhan wemei muttered to herself in a loss. After contemplating she held hands with the kids and ask around for the stables.

"excuse me, but is this the place where we could hire carriages and coachmen?" she asked with a polite smile.

The shopkeeper smiled as he scratches his head. "this is indeed the place miss. However, boss Jiang rents all the carriages and coachmen to transport his goods to serene lake city" he said with great difficulty.

He didn't want to reject a customer but they can't accommodate them anymore, besides there are no more stables in the village.
