After the game, everyone went home for the evening.
Tom: We're so proud of you on your last game, Marin.
Marin: Thanks, dad.
Sabine: I have a feeling you'll have a bright soccer future for you after you graduate high school.
Marin: I hope so too, Mom.
Bridgette: So, what's gonna happen now? Since the soccer season is over?
Marin: Just going on with my school and normal life until I graduate.
Tom: I'd say with your victory tonight, you deserved to relax.
Marin: Thanks, dad. *At home, after everything was settled down, Tom put the salmon and the yeast rolls in the oven and let them both bake as Marinette worked on the strawberry pudding for dessert. *
Tom: How's the pudding, honey?
Marinette: Good so far. Good thing we still have some strawberries.
Tom: Yes, a good thing. *At the dining room, Marin and Bridgette set the table for dinner. *
Bridgette: Great game.
Marin: Thanks. Sad it's the last game of the season.
Bridgette: At least you'll have more time when you head off to college with the soccer scholarship.
Marin: Yeah. I can see it now.
Sabine: Who's turn is it to walk the dogs tonight?
Marinette: My turn. I'll get to it as soon as I'm done with the dessert.
Sabine: Okay. *She added ice cubes to the pitcher and mixed in the drink. *
Marinette: Okay, we're done. How does it look? *Tom looked at the pudding she made. *
Tom: Looks good to me. Mind if I...
Marinette: Sure. *Tom gets a small spoon, scoops some pudding, and tries it. *
Tom: Mmm. This is delicious, honey.
Marinette: Thanks. Is it, huh?
Tom: Yep. *He pinched her cheek and kissed her on the cheek. *
Marinette: I'm gonna walk the dogs now.
Tom: Okay. *Marinette washed her hands after making the pudding, she grabbed the leashes from the wall rack, then hooked up Tibbles and Angel, and walked out of the house, walking them down the street. *
Marinette: Okay, let's get this over with. The dinner we're done, the sooner we can go back home. *She keeps walking down the street. In Alya's room, she types on the computer her update on the LadyBlog. *
Alya: Okay. Got the battle with King Microphone done and with Mommy Dearest. And send. *She clicked the send button and it was uploaded on the LadyBlog. * And done. *She signed off of her LadyBlog site. Then, the door knocked. * Come in. *The door opened and it was her. *
Marlene: Honey, dinner's ready.
Alya: I'll be out soon.
Marlene: Okay. *Her mom walked out of the room and Alya walked out of her room and sat in the dining room with her family. Marlene put a whole Beef Wellington down at the center table, along with sweet peas, mashed potatoes, and some cloverleaf rolls. * Alright, Beef Wellington for everyone.
Otis: Mm, Beef Wellington. *Marlene started cutting up the Beef Wellington and served it to everyone and some got some mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and a cloverleaf roll. They started eating and talking. *
Marlene: So, how was everyone's day today? *They all said okay, great. *
Otis: How was your shift at the Hotel?
Marlene: Prety good. As usual. *She cut a piece of her Beef Wellington and took a bite. *
Alya: Not sure if I told you all that my class played soccer.
Otis: Soccer, huh? Speaking of, was the school soccer team played today?
Alya: Yeah. *She scooped some mashed potatoes into her spoon. * But as usual, Chloe refused to play and got akumatized and made soccer her way.
Nora: That blonde priss is still in her temper tantrum?
Alya: As usual. *She eats some mashed potatoes and scooped up some sweet peas in her bowl too. *
Marlene: Hey, just because Chloe is the mayor's boss, we should still show some respect. Even when we're not in the same room.
Otis: Your mom is right. *He tried the Wellington and Ella drank some juice. Then, the whole family eats their food together. *
Meanwhile, Marinette came back from her walk with Tibbles and Angel, she unhooked them, and they started running around, then she put the leashes back on the wall rack.
Tom: Right on time, honey. We got everything all done.
Marinette: That's good to hear. *She goes to the kitchen and wash her hands and dry them. *
Sabine: Dinner's ready. *Marin came out of his room, rubbing his stomach. *
Marin: Yes! I'm hungry. *Bridgette came out of her room and Timmy came out of his room. Marinette then put food and water in both Tibbles and Angel's food and water bowls, she rubbed their heads, headed back to the kitchen and washed her hands again, then sat down next to her mom. *
Tom: What we're having is baked salmon, Italian salad, and yeast dinner rolls. And Marinette made a special dessert for us.
Bridgette: What is this special dessert?
Marinette: You'll see. *Sabine poured some cherry limeade into everyone's cups and put the pitcher down on the table. Tom cut up the salmon and placed a few pieces of baked salmon on each plate, then one by one they each placed some salad on their plate and added a dinner roll on their plates. *
Sabine: Okay. Again, Marin, we are so proud of your last game.
Marin: Thanks, mom. This will be the one game I will never forget. *He eats some salmon and holds a dinner roll as Bridgette holds a cup of the cherry limeade and takes a sip. *
Bridgette: You said that the last few times you won your first game.
Marin: And still sticking to it. *He eats his dinner roll, Bridgette rolls her eyes and takes another sip of the cherry limeade in her cup. *
Bridgette: What kind of drink is this, Mom?
Sabine: (Cutting up a piece of salmon and holding a piece) Cherry Limeade. *She takes a bite as Marinette tries the Italian salad, and Tom adds some ranch dressing to the salad and eats it too. *
Bridgette: It's pretty good. I like it.
Sabine: Thank you, honey.
Marin: I got offered a scholarship.
Tom: You took it, right?
Marin: I said I'd have to think about it.
Sabine: Are you crazy?
Marin: You gotta act like you don't want it, Mom. You gotta make them think you're keeping your options open. But don't worry, I have their business card so I will.
Tom: You better! That's a fantastic opportunity.
Marin: I know dad, I wasn't born yesterday. *He cut up his salmon into a piece and about to eat it. *
Bridgette: That's debatable. *Marin stuck his tongue out at her as she poked hers out back at him. *
Tom: Enough you two! Eat your dinner.
Marin: Anyway, I'll call Coach Niblick and tell him I'll take it.
Tom: Tomorrow, right?
Marin: Yeah. *He eats some salad and sees a bottle of salad ranch dressing. * Can you pass the salad dressing, please?
Tom: Sure, son. *He handed Marin the salad ranch dressing and poured some into his salad. *
Marin: Thanks. *He then eats some more of his salad and takes a bite of his dinner roll. *
Sabine: So, I scheduled a family photo shoot for the adoption process.
Bridgette: Family photo shoot?
Sabine: Yes. So the adoption agency would know who we are and what family the baby will be going home with.
Tom: When is it?
Sabine: Friday afternoon.
Marin: Why Friday? *He drinks some cherry limeade. *
Sabine: We have a busy bakery shift this weekend. And we have to have a lot of help.
Marinette: (Taking a bite of her baked salmon) And we will help out too?
Sabine: Yes. We'll all the help we can get for this weekend rush. So, whatever plans you have with your friends, can be put on hold until we're all done.
Marin: Is it all day?
Sabine: No, not all day.
Marin: Okay, just wanna know that.
Tom: Marinette, you should invite Luka over to dinner this week.
Marinette: Okay, What day would be okay?
Sabine: How about Friday evening?
Marinette: Okay.
Bridgette: It's been a while since his last visit, you know. *Marin spotted a piece of salmon Bridgette hadn't eaten yet, he tried reaching for it, but Bridgette stopped him. * If you don't wanna wear that fork, you better get it away from my plate, you weasel. *Marin looked away and finished off his roll and the last of his salad. After dinner, Marinette served everyone a cup of strawberry pudding. They tried it and it was delicious. *
Sabine: This is delicious, honey.
Marinette: Thank you. I learned from the best. *Tom grinned after that and hugged Marinette. Timmy ate some pudding and licked his lips. *
Bridgette: This is not bad. Wish I could make something else like this.
Tom: How about tomorrow night? I can teach you how to make a dessert tomorrow night after dinner.
Bridgette: Great idea, dad. I'll have to look up something easy to make. *Marin finishes up his pudding and he sees Bridgette's pudding untouched. He then reached for it. * If you don't wanna wear that spoon, you better keep your paws away from my pudding, stretch.
Sabine: Who would like to help clean the table and wash the dishes?
Marinette: I'll help. *She eats some pudding and Bridgette takes a bite of her strawberry. *
Bridgette: I'll help too.
Sabine: Thank you, girls. After dessert, we'll get started on it. *They nodded and the whole family enjoyed the pudding Marinette made and they enjoyed it. *
