"You lyin'!"

"Maggie, I can not make this shit up." Arnell told her.

Arnell was telling Maggie about the park situation. She just couldn't seem to stay out of drama.

"So, that's why her ass ain't been in school in forever." Maggie said. "How big was her stomach?"

"Big enough for me to notice." Arnell said. "She was prolly hidin' it for a minute."

"That's craaaazy." Maggie said. "And big daddy Meech came to yo rescue?"

Arnell rolled her eyes. For the past few days Maggie insisted on annoying her with questions about Damitri. His ass still had her purse and was being petty over the whole situation.

"Fuck him." She said.

"You know y'all both bein' childish, right?" Maggie told her. "You should just go over and get ya shit back."

"Whatever." Arnell responded crossing her arms.

The bell rung, which meant lunch was over. The crowd of students began pouring out of the cafeteria.

"I'm just bein' honest, don't be mad." Maggie said getting up. "You still want me to come over after school?"

Arnell nodded vigorously. "Of course."

"Aight, see you later." Maggie said while leaving.

Arnell sat at the empty table for awhile before getting up to leave herself.

After school, Arnell waited outside of Maggie's class for her to come out. When she came out, the walked to the front of the school.

"You getting a ride from Anthony?" Maggie asked as they walked out.

"Yeah."

Maggie and Arnell were laughing all the way to the parking lot but stopped when they saw Damitri and Anthony talking.

WHAT THE FUCK . Arnell thought.

Mercedes came out and waited until the boys were done talking to get in the car. Anthony jogged over to his car where Arnell and Maggie were waiting.

Damitri seen Arnell and smiled at her, before getting into his car and driving off. She rolled her eyes.

"Nell, you can sit in the front. Ima sit in the back wit Maggie." Jay said kissing Maggie on her forehead.

They left school and headed home.

"Would you stop texting and driving." Arnell told Anthony while grabbing control of the wheel.

"I know what I'm doin', Nell." He said with his eyes going back and forth between his phone and the road.

"He too busy textin' his girl." Jay joked from the back seat.

"Anthony ain't got no girl." Maggie laughed.

"You don't know what I got." Anthony shot back.

"I know you ain't got no girl." She said again.

Arnell was getting annoyed. It was like he was typing a whole paragraph. Nothing was that important that it couldn't wait until they got home.

"I got it, Arnell." Anthony told his sister.

She finally let go of the wheel once Anthony put his phone away.

"Let's go get somethin' to eat." Jay suggested.

"Nigga, there's food at the house." Anthony told him.

"Yeah, but I'm in the mood for Panda." Jay said.

"Ooh, that sounds good right now." Maggie agreed.

"Arnell?" Anthony said as he looked at his sister.

"Yeah, it's fine." She said.

Anthony changed routes and headed to Panda Express. Anthony found a parking spot and they all hopped out.

They preferred going inside rather than the drive thru because they never got their money's worth. At least they could see if the employees were filling up their plates or not. They acted as if the food was coming out of their pay checks or something.

When they got in there, the line wasn't very long. Maggie was the first to order.

"Can I get some orange chicken?" She asked pointing at the food behind the glass. "Damn, can you put some more on there?! Stingy asses." She mumbled.

Arnell couldn't help but laugh. Maggie moved further down the line. Jay was next, and then Anthony.

Arnell was staring up at the menu deciding what to order when she felt someone come up behind her.

"Hey, remember me?" Arnell heard of familiar voice say.ย

She turned around to see who it was.

It was a fine ass dude. She knew she had seen him somewhere, but she couldn't quite remember.

"Umm." She said trying her best to think.

"Trinity, I was your waiter..."

"Ah, right." She said remembering.

She didn't know how she could forget. That boy was gorgeous as hell.

"I didn't get your name." Trinity noted.

"It's Arnell." She told him.

She just stared at his eyes. She could've sworn that they were green at the restaurant but now they were a bluish gray color.

"Arnell." He repeated. "I like that." He smirked.

Arnell didn't say anything. She didn't know what to say. He was so fine that it was distracting her.

"Well, enjoy your food, Arnell." He told her while winking.

Trinity left the restaurant and left Arnell staring at the door like an idiot.

Damn. I shoulda got his number. She thought. She smacked her lips.

"Nell, who was that guy you were talking to." Maggie asked. "That boy was fiiii- hi baby!" She said when Jay and Anthony walked over.

"Don't 'hi baby me', what y'all talking bout?" Jay questioned.

"Nothing." Maggie laughed.

Arnell went to go order her food. They got in the car and headed home. Everyone except Arnell went into the living room to watch movies. She didn't feel like being bothered.

"I'm going to my room to eat." She said.

Maggie and Jay swapped looks and watched her go upstairs.

Arnell flipped through her channels in search of something good to watch. She heard someone walking up the stairs and down the hall towards her bedroom.

"Arnell?" Anthony said while knocking.

"What."

"Can I come in?"

"For what." She said.

"So we can talk." He explained. "I know you been wondering why me and Damitri been talking."

"Not really." She told him.

"Arnell..."

"Fine, come in."

"Why you sitting here in the dark." He asked while closing the door behind him.

She didn't answer him. He walked over to her dresser and grabbed her pink basketball. He laid back on her bed and threw the ball up and down.

"The reason why Meech and I been talkin' is because I stopped sellin' for Quentin." Anthony explained.

Arnell's eyes slowly turned to Anthony.

"What?" She said in disbelief.

"Yeah, I thought about what you said and about everything and you were right." He told her.

She couldn't believe any of that was coming out of his mouth. Not too long ago he was so sure he wasn't going to stop.

"Anyway, he was just tellin' me that if I needed anything, to let him know, and that thereย  ain't no hard feelings." Anthony finished.

Arnell nodded her head. She was happy but she didn't know what to say.

Anthony got up and put her ball back where he got it from. He left her room leaving Arnell with nothing but her thoughts.

Arnell finished eating and was getting ready for the shower. She saw her phone light up from across the room and went to go check her notifications.

Meech: is u gone come get yo purse?? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Keep it.

Meech: nah, I'll just come and give it to you since being childish.

Arnell rolled her eyes made her way to the bathroom. She took a long relaxing shower. So long that the water turned cold before she got out.

She wrapped her towel around herself and tiptoed back into her bedroom. She picked out some cute pajamas and lathered herself up with cocoa butter. She slid into her house shoes before checking her phone again.

Meech: I'm ousside.

Arnell made her way downstairs and to the front door. Damitri was parked in his usual spot when he came. He was leaning against his car texting. Her purse was sitting on the hood. She walked down the driveway and to his car.

"You smell good as hell." He told her.

"Okay, and?" She scoffed.

Arnell rolled her eyes at the sight of him checking her out. He didn't even try to hide the shit.

"Damn, you still got an attitude? I know you tired of being mad." He laughed.

She snatched her purse off of his car and put it on her shoulder.

"Damn, no 'thank you, Meech'?" He asked.

Arnell scoffed. "Why would I thank you? You basically stole my shit"

"You, was being mad petty so I thought I would be petty too." He chuckled.

"You not fuckin' funny, Damitri."

He raised his eyebrows at her. She knew that she just fucked up. Instead of going off like he usually did, he just shook his head.

"You coming to my birthday party?" He asked changing the subject.

"No."

"Why not?" He said not looking up from his phone.

"'Cause, I don't like you."

"Well, I like you. Even if you childish and annoying." He told her. "So, you coming?"

"No," She said again. "I don't like parties."

"It's not a party. It'll be a little kickback wit me and a few of my friends." Damitri explained. "So, are you comin'?"

"No, I don't like yo friends."

"You don't even know my friends." He told her.

"Don't have to." She shot back. "Ask Blue to come."

"She already comin'." Damitri informed her. "But, I want you there. I can tell her no if you too jealous." He smirked.

"I gotta go." She said turning around.

"Aight, catch you at the kickback."

"I'm not comin'."

"Yes, you are,Nells." He said getting into his car.

Arnell rolled her eyes and walked away. Damitri watched her until she was all the way in the house. He laughed and shook his head. Arnell peeped out of the window and watched him drive off. She walked back upstairs and went to her room where she stayed the rest of the day.
