Damian POV

Jason had taken every opportunity available to complain about how unfair it was that he was the one with the broken arm. Damian wanted to punch him.

"Would you stop complaining. And just accept that your a halfwit." Damian said from his side of the coach.

Jason glared at him. "I actually still have to go to work. It's so unfair." he groaned and threw his head back.

Normally Tim would be the one to be giving Jason shit about everything but he'd been silent most of the Friday so far. It was night now and Damian almost had to leave to go to David's place for the movie night.

He was curious as to how the night would go, he'd only hung out with the whole group once, but the conversation had proven to be worth his time which was saying something. They were all pretty smart. Cwrston wanted to be a doctor and at first Damian thought he didn't stand a chance until he pulled up his records and saw he really had the grades for it.

He saw Dick standing over by the door. When he caught his eye, the older boy discreetly signaled for him to come over.

Damian blissfully stood and strides towards his older brother and Dick pulled him out of ear shot of the other two boys.

"Listen, There's something wrong with Tim. I think he's upset about that ex girlfriend of his again, but it's different this time and I can't figure it out. Can I ask you a favor?" Dick asked, a pleading look in his eyes, one he had perfected throughout the years of living with three stubborn and cold brothers.

"Depending on the favor." he answered.

He rolled his eyes. "Just take him with you to your movie thing please. He needs to get out and be around people."

He gave the older boy a unimpressed look and Dick sighed. "Please. I'd take him with me to Cory but he'd just feel like a third wheel." he begged.

Damian stared at Grayson. Then sighed. "Fine." he growled.

He walked back into the living room to find that Jason was gone, probably left for training, and Tim was still sitting on the couch staring at the flames in the fireplace. It was strangely depressing.

" Get up and be ready in five minutes or I'm leaving you here." Tim didn't even have time to react as Damian left the room once more to go get dressed.

He threw on a pair of dark jeans and midnight blue trainers along with a black K-way jacket then glanced at himself in the mirror.

The dog tag around his neck was showing so he quickly tucked it beneath his clothing and grabbed his keys before leaving for the garage.

Tim was already there. Damian made his way over to his car only to be stopped by the black haired caffeine addict.

"No, no. We didn't buy you this thing so it could rot in the garage." Tim said and tossed Damian the keys to his motorcycle.

Damian rolled his eyes. "Fine, give me a minute." he tossed his car keys onto the cabinet near the garage door and got on his bike. He texted Cami a quick message to tell her he was bringing Tim then put his helmet on.

"You know where this place is?" Tim asked over the sound of the revving engines.

Damian linked his phones GPS to his com and nodded to Tim.

The two were out of Wayne manor and in the streets seconds later, wind ripping at them and biting into their skin.

...

Camilla POV

" He has this white stripe in his hair and it just matches everything so well. He is so funny you'll love him. " Milla had been talking about Jason since the second they got to David's house. Which was twenty minutes ago.

Camilla was about to interrupt when her phone buzzed with a text from Damian.

" Uhm Milla? Sorry to burst your bubble. But Jason isn't coming." she said and Milla's face fell.

"What do you mean he isn't coming?"

Cami turned her phone to the other three so they could read the message.

Damian
Jason can't make it.
Switching one idiot brother
with another. Bringing Tim.

"Well he definitely likes to keep it short." Carston commented, looking slightly amused as he tossed his phone up and catches it again and again looking like that guy from 'Why don't we'.

Milla pouted. "Damnit."

David raised an eyebrow. "Well maybe this one is hotter." he said in an attempt to cheer her up. It didn't work.

"I don't care if he's hotter. Jason was... Nice. That's all." she said, a blush creeping up her neck.

"Somebody's got a crush." Carston sang, teasing his friend.

And that's how the bickering started. It started at Milla's 'crush' on Jason and thirty minutes later ended with Carston's inability to get a boyfriend which he justified by saying he was too busy.

"Enough!" David said, obviously not being able to take another second of their fighting.

"Cami did Damian get lost or something? He's late." he said in an attempt to change the topic off their boring love lives.

"Maybe we should stand outside? Maybe he drove past the house?" she asked and David nodded clearly eager to put an end to the previous conversation.

The four made their way to the open front yard where only Milla's car was parked. Cami had got a lift from her and Carston had been there since after school.

"It's a good thing we got him a watch." Milla muttered as she shivered from the cold wind and looked up at the shining stars.

As if on cue two motorcycles came speeding up the street only slowing down before turning into the driveway they were standing in.

The first came to a stop in front of Cami, it was black and dark blue.
The guy pulled of his helmet to reveal an irritated looking Damian, his sharp eyes scowling at the person next to him.

The other motorcycle came to a halt near Carston. The guy had dark hair, not unlike Damian's, his skin was lighter and his eyes were wild like a burst of energy. He grinned over to his brother who was now glaring at him.

"Oh come on, lighten up, that was fun." The guy who Cami assumed was Tim, laughed loudly.

Damian's expression didn't change. "Our versions of 'fun' clearly differ."

The two got off their motorcycles. "Yes my version of fun was taking that detour, your version of fun is dangling someone off a building by their ankles." Tim continued still smiling. Camilla knew he was probably joking but she couldn't stop the unsure feeling in her chest.

Damian rolled his eyes and ignored his brother.

"Hey, this is Tim. I apologize in advance." Damian greeted as he peeled off his gloves, leaving them in his helmet on his bike.

Tim winked at them.

"Hi I'm Camilla, but you can call me Cami." she shook his hand then bumped Milla on the shoulder.

"Milla." she gave him a short introduction. Obviously still upset that Jason couldn't be there.

"David, pleasure." the two shook hands all bro like. Now everyone was staring at Carston, who obviously didn't notice because he was staring at Tim, only Tim.

...

Carston POV

Carston barely heard a word that was spoken after Damian had introduced his brother, Tim.

Saying he was attractive was an understatement. He had heard what Milla had said about Jason being a looker as well. He glanced at Damian, then back to Tim. It obviously ran in the family.

The boys blue eyes shone bright, he was tall, like Damian, and wore a white jacket, light blue jeans and Nike shoes.

His light clothes somehow contrasted to both his dark hair and the dark clothes of his brother. The two shared little to no resemblances, the black hair was about where it ended.

Timothy had pale skin, smooth and a sharp jaw. His eyes shone with determination and perfection, like he had everything figured out.

His thoughts were interrupted when he felt David give him a light shove.

"Carston!" he yelled.

"What?" Carston blinked, then noticed that everyone was staring at him.

"Stop staring at the guy and introduce yourself." David muttered and Carston turned a bright shade of red as he held out his hand to Tim.

"Sorry, I'm Carston by the way." he said, wishing the ground could swallow him whole.

Tim smiled at him as he took his hand. It was warm and Carston didn't want to let go, but reluctantly did, before it got weird.

"Okay so my parents aren't home and we ordered a shit load of pizza. Movie night is taking place in the living room. Follow me please." David said dramatically and Carston had to refrain from rolling his eyes at his best friend.

The six made their way inside.

...

Camilla POV

Damian removed from his jacket the second they got inside.

" I didn't know you had a motorcycle Damian. Aren't you just full of surprises?" Milla said clearly in a better mood.

Before Damian could answer his brother jumped up.

"Oh he didn't. It was a birthday gift from me, because I'm just cool like that." he winked and Damian scoffed.

"It was from the three of you and most likely Dick's idea in the first place."

Tim rolled his eyes. "Whatever, I picked the color and modified it."

"I thought you didn't celebrate your birthday?" Cami asked, tilting her head to the side curiously.

Again Tim answered for him. "Oh he doesn't. But just because his mother was a bitch doesn't mean we are. We still get him a little something every year, even though he hates it." Tim Smiled at Damian but it quickly disappeared when he saw the look he was receiving from his younger sibling.

"His mother? You don't have the same mother?" David asked, suddenly interested in starting up the investigation not to discreetly.

Damian was staring daggers at Tim, who was now puffing his cheeks up with air and slowly blowing out while drumming his fingers on the table.

"Right. How about I shut up now. You said something about the movie night being in the living room? How about we check that out?" he rambled and Carston, David and Milla dropped it and led him down the hall to the living room.

"We'll wait for the pizza." Cami called after them.

"Money's on the counter!"

She turned back to Damian. "Well I know you don't celebrate it but the four of us got you something." She blushed as she pulled out the box and held it out to him. He raised an eyebrow but took it from her either way, their fingers brushed against each other's and Camilla's skin tingled.

Damian opened the box and a small smile tugged at the edge of his lips.
"You shouldn't have." he said as he pulled his sleeve up and placed the watch on his wrist.

"Do you like it?" she asked, suddenly flustered.

He offered her a small smile and nodded. "There are not a lot of people who would do this for me, so thank you."

Camilla felt her heart going crazy in her chest when Damian wrapped his arms around her in a quick hug.

"It-it was from a-all of us really." she stumbled over her words as he pulled back once more.

She was saved from looking like a total moron when the pizza arrived.

...

Damian POV

Friends hugged each other as a 'thank you' , right? Damian wondered. He'd hugged Cami but was starting to think it was a mistake, she was acting strange, she stumbled over her words and got flustered every time he looked her way.

Was she trying to tell him he'd made her uncomfortable? That he shouldn't do it again?

The movie they were watching was called '10 things I hate about you' and even though Damian wasn't much of a movie buff, he quite liked this one, or at least he liked the leading female character.

He was sat at the edge of the coach with Cami next to him in the middle and Milla on her right. David had the small couch on the right to himself and Tim and Carston were on the mattress in front of him of the floor.

Tim was completely into the movie, Carston was watching, but Damian didn't miss the small glances he stole at Tim every now and then, he seemed to enjoy Tim's presence more than the actual film.

Camilla's laugh stole Damian's attention before he could overanalize the situation. Her blond hair bounced around her head and her eyes shone with amusement.

After a while she noticed that Damian was looking at her and turned her head slightly, still smiling.

Their eyes locked and for a moment and Damian didn't care about the movie, but instead found himself staring into the deep blue gaze of the blond.

The moment was interrupted when the movie ended and David clapped his hands together.

"Okay that's three of them over so far. Now it's between 'The game plan' and 'Life as we know it' which one is first and maybe last. It's actually getting late." David frowned down at his phone. Damian glanced down at his new watch. Eleven.

"What time do you guys need to be home?" Carston asked

"We can leave when we want, or when our dad calls." Tim shrugged.

"My curfew is one, ans I still need to drive Camila home so I think this should be our last movie." Milla said, then yawned stretching her lean body out.

"What are they about?" Damian asked and David went on to explain the movies in such detail they might as well just have listened to him tell it. In the end they'd picked 'Life as we know it'

The movie was barely ten minutes in and nearly everyone had fallen asleep. Everyone except Damian.

He was tired but he also felt the need to stay awake. He wasn't really looking forward to waking up because of another nightmare especially not around his new... Friends?

He glanced around the room. Tim and Carston were both peacefully asleep on their mattress, though Tim hardly ever slept so he vaguely wondered when was the last time he had gotten any rest. David was drooling all over the couch cushions and half of Milla was dangling off the couch.

Cami had her head turned towards him, her hair was falling around her face and her arms were tucked against her chest.

Damian couldn't help but feel a bit more tired by just looking at them. He turned his head towards Cami and decided to just close his eyes for a few minutes.

....

Damian hadn't woken because of a nightmare, but instead he woke to find one. There was a gun pointed to his face and as he glanced around the room he saw that Cami, David, Carston and Milla were all tied up together on the floor, one guy stood over them with another gun, they looked terrified.

How the hell did he sleep through this?

Of course that was something that would only be answered much later.

There were five men in total. One holding a gun to Damian's head, another to his friends on the ground and one last one had his arm wrapped around Tim's throat trying to push him down to the others. The last two were busy carrying out the TV they'd been watching movies on.

A robbery? Seriously. How had he not woken up?

He glanced at Tim who gave him one small nod before throwing his guy over his shoulder and grabbing the gun from his hand.

The guy in front of Damian turned to look at what had happened and Damian took the opportunity to wrap his one hand around the gun and the other he used to roughly slam against the man's wrist making him let go of the weapon.

The man swiftly turned back just as Damian hooked his ankle around the guy's feet and made him drop to the ground, he quickly got up and slammed his head to the tiled floor, hard enough to knock him out.

By now the other three guys had noticed and the two who had been carrying out the TV were now fumbling for their guns, Tim's guy was unconscious and before Damian could wonder what could've happened to the last one he heard his name being screamed by a high shrill vioce before a bullet missed his head by mere inches as he yanked away just in time.

Tim shot the guy in the leg twice and hurried over to grab his gun. Damian turned just in time to dodge a punch from another one of the criminals and landed on his back. He threw his legs up, hitting the guy in the chest and making him stumble back. Just as he recovered and headed towards Damian again Tim tripped the guy and slammed his head into the coffee table.

Damian jumped up and scanned the room for the last criminal, but it seemed as if the man was gone. Or so Damian thought until he felt a bullet bury itself in his shoulder and burning pain shot through his body but he barely grunted.

He fell to his knees to avoid being shot again but raised his gun with his right hand from where the shot had came from which was around the corner to the hallway. He watched as the guy's shadow disappeared and Tim chased after him with an unrealistic speed.

He tossed the weapon on the couch and pressed his hand to his shoulder, it came away bloody. He didn't like guns and neither did Tim, both could shoot and work with the weapons but preferred fighting by other means. Guns were Jason's thing.

He got to his feet and slowly made his way to his tied up friends who were gawking at him. He started to untie them and noticed that Cami was crying.

"Damian? You're not okay sit down, call the cops-no call an ambulance." she begged him.

"I'm fine." he said, calm and collected. But she kept arguing with him saying he was in shock which he definitely was not.

At that moment Tim returned. He gave Damian a nod telling him he'd taken care of the the last crook and walked over to him helping him untie his friends.

"How bad is it?" Tim gestured to the bullet wound.

"I'm fine." Damian said and Tim laughed.

"You're not fine, your losing blood. Now let me do this, call commissioner Gordon."

Damian rolled his eyes and tried not to grunt in pain as he sat back and pulled his phone out, calling James Gordon.

When he got off the phone Tim had finished untying everyone and Cami rushed over him.

" Do you have a first aid kit?" Damian asked David and he frantically nodded and disappeared down the hallway. Everyone was rattled.

"How are you so frikin calm?!"Cami asked freaking out. But Damian knew she was just in shock. It wasn't everyday someone held a gun to your head. Well, at least not for her.

Damian was sat on the floor with his back resting against the couch.

" Calm down. Just breathe. " he said but Cami didn't calm down.

David returned with the first aid kit and handed it to him. He tore his shirt where the bullet was and grabbed a pair of plastic tweezers from the kit.

He glanced over at Tim hoping to ask him to do it but he noticed that Tim already had his hands full with trying to keep Carston from having a panic attack. He took the hyperventilating boy out of the room and Damian realized that he was on his own.

He breathed in and pressed the tweezers into the wound after the bullet. He wanted to be done before the cops arrived so they wouldn't have a reason to send him to the hospital. He hated hospitals.

Thirty seconds later the bullet was out and Damian was fumbling around in the first aid kit for something to stop the bleeding.

"David go get my jacket, it's in the kitchen." he ordered and his shocked friend took a few seconds before registering his words and running from the room once more.

Damian found bandages but knew they wouldn't do much for the blood. He didn't have time to look for something more efficient so he started to wrap his shoulder with one hand before Camilla took the bandages from him and started to wrap up his shoulder for him, his skin tingled where her fingers brushed it.

David returned with his
