Y/N's POV

~A magical timeskip~

We finally arrived at our destination. Getting out of the bus everyone started stretching due to hours-long bus journey.

"I can't believe I had my butt stuck to the seat for 4 hours straight!" Inha complained standing beside me holding her suitcase while I was struggling pulling out mine from the storage under the bus. That's when I saw Jimin's 'Girl-friend' just beside me.

She held the handle of the suitcase tightly trying to pull it out, it did not move an inch. She mustered up all her strength and tried to draw out with all her strength. It was quite big and heavy that it just jerked a bit. But suddenly I noticed two muscular arms on either side of her pulling out the suitcase. It finally jerked out and she held it in place. I turned my head to see who it was and saw Jimin was the one who helped her with it. Jimin teased her for not able to pull out a suitcase by herself as they started walking away.

I look back at my suitcase with a frown and harshly jerked my suitcase out.

"Inha let's go!" I poked my inner cheek turning around.

Jimin has been treating me well lately... at least better than how he used to treat me. He gives out a smile every time our eyes meet in the hallways in between classes or during breaks. He doesn't talk to me much but keeps a check on me when we talk. But why does he seem more comfortable around her... Why does this overwhelming feeling of insecurity gets me every time I see them together.

'Y/n, He just helped with her suitcase... It's not a big deal. Calm down!' I tried to calm myself down, coming back to my senses.

As soon as I clicked open the door of the resort's room Inha ran in and jumped on the bed like a five-year-old kid. After placing the luggage on the cabinet I joined her.

"Who do you think will be our roommate?" She asked lying on the bed.

"I have no idea," I replied, still thinking about it.

As it was a room for three people we had to share the room with one more person.

"I just hope that person does not snore while sleeping... I want to have a good night sleep for the next two days." She said which made both of us burst into laughter.

But soon the door clicked open revealing a long black haired girl. It was her... the one who ruined my sleep schedule the past few nights...

"Hey guys, I am your roommate for the next two days and don't worry I don't snore." She greeted with a smile.

"Omg Aera! I'm glad it's you.." Inha went and hugged her.

'Woah... I didn't know Inha knows her...' I thought rolling my eyes.

"Oh heyy Beautiful..." She came towards my direction making me snap out of my thoughts. "You must be Y/n." She asked.

'Now how does she know me?' I was becoming even more suspicious.

"Yeah, I'm Y/n," I confirmed forming a fake smile.

"Nice to meet you... I'm Aera." She introduced herself giving me a smile... which... seemed to be a genuine one.
I managed to smile once more before heading to the washroom.

~

"You know her?" I asked Inha while we were going down the stairs to have breakfast.

"Actually we share a couple of classes..." She replied giving me a 'Is something wrong' look.

"Guys hurry up!" Aera called as she was a couple of steps ahead of us.

We reached the dining hall and got our breakfast. I wanted to have the food alone cuz it was glass noodles. I and chopsticks are sworn, enemies. But Aera instantly waved at the boys and told us we can join them.

'Ahh first these chopsticks and now I have to have food with them.' I cursed under my breath walking towards their table.

"Hey ladies." Hoseok greeted as we reached the table.

"Heyy...' Inha and Aera greeted back.

The meal was quite fun... I guess... In one end I couldn't even eat properly and on the other the end Aera being fed by Jimin and Taehyung once in a while. They seemed pretty close that they were sharing their food and here I am... not even able to eat properly.

Wow-what a great way to start a trip I let out a sign.

The rest of the day went by we had to attend a seminar related to modern art and many highly qualified people were giving speeches about their life experiences. It was knowledgeable yet boring. I mean they expect us to stick our butt on a seat and get up once in a while to clap for five hours straight?!

Ah... Why did I even agree to come on this trip?

Again, on the way back, I saw Aera running around with Jimin playfully, it seemed like they were having fun. I just wanted to go to my room and fall asleep. The evening activities were remaining, I informed the in-charge I was not feeling well and wanted to go back to my room.

~

It was around eight in the evening, I was in my room trying hard to fall asleep while my mind was roaming around the whole time. I just made an excuse to skip the activity cause I could not bear to be around people any longer.

It's like I was being the second third or the last option every time. Everyone, including Inha, was talking and giving attention to Aera. They would ask me if I was alright once in a while.

But...then I realized... I guess it's my fault here cause I'm scared to talk to them not wanting them to feel I'm annoying them so, I keep quiet the whole time. Maybe that's why they go to her as it is easy to talk to a person who is outgoing and positive rather than a person, who is closed and self-doubtful.

"Ahh... I'm going out to get some fresh air." I grabbed my jacket in frustration and rushed out to get some fresh air.

I had my earphones chugged. I was taking a walk on the pathway inside the resort.

'Why would they want to out and do activities when they booked such a beautiful resort?!' I thought while enjoying the view.

I was taking pictures when I suddenly heard footsteps behind me... again. Since that incident, I get scared as I heard footsteps while walking alone. I sild my phone into my pocket and started to jog to get out of that place.

As I jogged further the person also followed and I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder making me flinch in fear. I just squatted down hiding my face shaking as I broke out in a cold sweat and begging to leave me alone.

"Y/n?! Is that you?" I heard a familiar voice.

I looked up and found Hoseok looking at me with a worried expression. "You alright?"

"You scared me!" I screamed at him breathing heavily as I fell on the floor.

"I-i'm sorry. I just- " He backed off.

I got up and wiped my sweat trying calm myself down. I guess it was harsh, this is the first time in years I screamed at someone.

"I was just walking around and saw you... I was about to call you but you started running..." He explained.

I started walking ahead and he caught up my pace.

"What are you doing here? You did not go Hiking?" I asked as I thought I was the only one who did not go.

"Actually... I am allergic to bugs and I'm scared of the dark. So... I got myself cut out." He explained to which I made an 'o' expression.

He looked over me and "What about you? Why didn't you go? You loved adventures activities, even when we went to the amusement par-" He stopped and stared at me as if he said something he wasn't supposed to say.

"What?" I stared at him in confusion.

'It's true I loved adventures activities but how does he know? And when did I go to the amusement park with him-' I thought.

"So, why did you skip it?" He asked without completing the previous sentence.

"Umm... Just did not feel like it." I replied fiddling with my fingers.

We both went silent till we reached and sat on a swing near a lawn area.

"But can I ask you something?" I asked breaking the silence. "Yeah sure." He turned towards me.

"Are Jimin and Aera close?" I blurred it out. I was really curious about it that I could not hold it in anymore.

"Like yeah... He first used to hate her but off late it seems like they get along well." That- was not I wanted to hear...

"Oh..." I replied as if it did not affect me.

"So... that's the reason you did not join them." He turned away smiling weakly after examining my face.

"WHAT?! NO!" I defended by semi-yelling.

He gave out a weak chuckle turning ahead "Your reaction confirms it..."

"What?! How do you know that? You don't even know me well." I tried to defend myself again.

"I was your BEST FRIEND for god's sake!" he yelled back glancing at me.
I was totally blank... What on earth did he just say... 'Best friend'?

"And you fell for him... again..." He bitterly replied.

"Hosoek... What on earth are you talking about? When were we best friends?" I patiently asked wanting him to explain.

"Ah... I'm not supposed to tell you this..." He snickered aggressively brushing his hair with his hand.

"Just say it!" I yelled again as I was not able to hold my curiosity. After attempting to convenience him to explain... he finally opened his mouth.

"Y/n... We all were friends... and something happened that got you into coma... and when you woke up we found out you lost the memories of the time you spend in Korea... So, your dad..." He stopped and took a deep breath before continuing staring deep into my eyes.

"Dad?!"

"He decided to turn it into an accident and not tell you about the time you spend here... and took you back to the states... because it was not safe for you to be here..." He completed.

I was totally puzzled. I wanted more explanation but he suddenly got up and "I wasn't supposed to tell you that." He backed away with a wide eye.

"Hoseok... What- I mean you can't give me half information and just go.." I tried to convince him.

HOSEOK's POV

Why am I doing this, I wasn't supposed to say those things to her.

'I WASEN'T SUPPOSE TO TELL HERR!!!' I cursed myself under my breath.

"Hoseok... please tell me more, Imagine yourself in my shoes... wouldn't you go nuts in this situation?!" She held my arm while her eyes were clouding.

Ahh... I thought I was really over her... Why did I overreact and let my emotions control me. Now, what am I supposed to do when she's looking at me like that... I dropped my head down not knowing what to say...

"Hoseok?! Please..." She held my hand as a tear rolled down her cheek.

I guess I had no other way...

"Al-alright..." She immediately with curiosity beaming out of her eyes.

I held my backpack and pulled out the old black hardcover book with a lot of stickers on it. I stretched my hand signing her to take it.

"What is this?" She was confused as she expected me to explain something but instead, I handed her a book.

"Just don't freak out while reading it..." I said turning around walking away.

I heard her call my name a few times but I just kept walking without turning around.

'I'm sure gonna regret this...' I thought.
