"Prophet Cookie, it's been so long! I didn't know you were in the City of Wizards, much less taking the same train as us!"
"I had to get to the City of Wizards to continue some trainings! How did you even know we had to go to the Archives?"
Prophet Cookie held his purple crystal ball up, unamused.
"Oh."
"That was scary..." Roguefort murmured.
"Was that your sister, Roguefort? I think she's called Mozzarella Cookie?"
"I think the masked Cookie is, they have the same icy eyes as my sister..."
The three Cookies were walking along the path, the forcefield now strong thanks to Prophet's magic powder that he willingly shared to the two Cookies.
Almond still had the crossbow in his hand, ready to shoot if any intruders were to attack.
Roguefort's eyes were still darting around, the icy glare of his sister still deeply embedded in his mind, giving him when the image resurfaced in his mind.
Prophet was still holding up his crystal ball, the ball emitting a faint glow and occasionally a flame.
"We have to be incredibly cautious then...I'm sure she has more than that trick up her sleeve."
"Obviously...she will have more than that..."
"Hey, at least you two are safe on the way here, this barrier is basically over-powered."
"Sure, but what about on the way back...?"
"Don't think about it too much! We'll be fine."

"They got away! You promised that you would stop them!"
The tanned Cookie screamed into the metal device, enraged.
On the receiving end of the words, the masked Cookie remained a poker face, standing in a dark alley.
"No amount of physical damage will break the magical barrier they prepared; the magic was heavy, meaning they must've had a powerful Cookie or source of magic. It is simply impossible that we stop them from reaching the Archives."
"Then what? We made a deal, and I will gladly break that promise if you don't do your part!"
"I never proposed that I wouldn't do my part. In fact, there is still a way to conceal the past. Who says that we can't stop them from telling the truth?"
A glimmer in the tanned Cookie's eyes.
"That's it! You can stop them once they step foot out of the Archives."
"Precisely. Now, please do not bother me for my preparations."
Mozzarella grinned, a sinister smile plastered on her face as she hung up.
"The fool really fell for my trap. They will have nothing left if this fails, and nothing more if this succeeds..."

"Here's the Archives!"
An enormous structure stood before them, giant open doors and regal-looking pillars. The place radiated a an old, yet royal aura, and the smell of paper wafted out like a cup of cocoa in a freezing winter.
Delicate carvings of moons and stars laced the doors, while mysterious carvings of ancient magical symbols adjourned the outer walls.
"Woah..."
"Welcome to the Archives. I am glad you arrived safely."
Blueberry Pie, in her librarian robes, stood at the top of the stairs just inside the door, holding the Topaz and Sapphire Tomes in her hands.
"Prophet, I thank you for assisting them on their journey here."
"No problem! Just go already, do what you gotta do. I'm actually gonna get back to my family."
"Have a safe journey then."
Prophet waved to the three Cookies before leaving the two friends at the Archives.
"The Topaz Tome continues to glow. The truth will be untold."
Roguefort grabbed Almond's hand, in pure instinct, still slightly scared of all that has happened.
Why would their families be forced to go against each other?
What was the reason for all of it?
Almond clutched his friend, no, his brother's hand tightly.
"Whatever happens, we'll be facing it together."
A determined Almond next to him, Roguefort tightened his grip, no longer so afraid, as they were two Cookies as one.
Two Cookies that had bonded, even with all the odds against them.
A faint smile was planted on Blueberry Pie's face.
"Let us uncover the missing truth."

The crystal ball glowed in Prophet's hands, a purple spark emitting from it at times.
While he had left the two Cookies at the Archives, and he was sure that Blueberry Pie would assist them to safety, he was still uneasy of the near future.
Two of his friends were in a city, where magic was allowed; Light Magic, Dark Magic, any sort.
And he had no idea why they were here, only knowing they had to get to the Archives because Buttercream Choco had told him.
"If they can't get there, you have to help 'em, alright?" he had said.
Prophet had agreed, despite not knowing the full story.
Still unsure about what would happen, he held the crystal ball to eye level.
Reciting a small mantra, the crystal ball replied with a simple message.
"The knot is too tight. The only way to untie it will be to break it."
"Oh, come on!"
Prophet felt a sudden urge to throw the crystal ball, with its vague messages that didn't give him any answer at all.
"A Phantom will rise in the storm."
"A Phantom..?"
Pure and utter confusion.
Prophet internally cursed as he neared his home.
A metal blade neared his neck, and he jumped away in surprise.
"So, mister see-the-future, what will I have to do to capture them?"
"Who are you?!" Prophet shouted in a panic, shielding the crystal ball from the Cookie that appeared before him.
"Lend me your foreseeing powers and I will not kill you."
Prophet tried to run, but the Cookie was faster, stepping in front of him shielding his way, like a phantom in his head.
Perhaps this was the Phantom in the crystal ball's prediction.
"Mere Cookies, can't even do a simple thing. You cannot escape me. Tell me, what do I have to do to put them in check?"
A gun was now pointed to Prophet's head.
The crystal ball responded after Prophet's previous activation, clear words on the ball's surface.
Trembling, Prophet handed the crystal ball out for the Cookie to see.
A simple nod from the Cookie, no expression at all.
"You have done your job, Cookie."
And like a Phantom, the masked Cookie was gone, as if she had never been there.
"I'm never going on the streets of this City alone again."
~♤~
"What will I gain from this?"
"Perhaps you will gain some experience, or would you like riches in return?"
A long cloak, a magician hat, a dark magic symbol.
"I am quite curious to see what will happen. You have my word; I will assist."

~♤~
"I'm glad to hear that; you must leave with caution tomorrow then."

If she could not keep the secret, she would no longer have her power.
She would be a commoner, possibly even banished by her own creation.
This was her last bet.
