"BBP...?"
Almond was staring at the letter in a confused state. Who was BBP?
Plus, he'd never been to the City of Wizards before, and he didn't know where the Archives were.
And he had to call Roguefort, who most definitely hadn't went there, as well?!
This was going to be a hard task.
It was a week after the mysterious incident at Buttercream Choco's, and Almond was already starting to miss Roguefort.
A friend really did mean a lot to him.
"Hey, was that the letter on your desk today?"
Almond nearly jumped out of his seat when he heard his mother's voice next to him.
"Mom! Don't scare me like that!"
"Hehe, sorry."
The female Cookie looked at the letter Almond was holding.
"The Archives? It's an interesting place. Books fill every single corner of that library."
"I've never been there. It'll be an interesting experience."
"Going with Roguefort? Interesting."
"Mom, you approved of our friendship 3 months ago! He's my best friend. Plus, I really want to know what BBP has to say to us."
"I didn't say I was going to stop you," Cashew chuckled.

"What's that letter, Almond?"
"Nothing, mom."
"I'm sure it's important."
Cashew took the letter from Almond, quickly skimming through the words of her late husband.
Almost immediately, tears brimmed the edges of her eyes once again.
"Pecan...he knew he was going to be targeted..."
"Mom, I'm sorry for not telling you sooner. I'm shocked as well."
Wiping the tears away from her eyes, Cashew pulled Almond into an embrace.
"Don't worry. We'll get through this together, alright? Be strong, for both of us."
Almond smiled, knowing his secret was safe with his mother.
"Also, you have a friendship with Roguefort? He's the heir of the Cheeses..."
"Are you okay with that, mom?"
"I'm fine, as long as he doesn't pose any harm towards you. Pecan even says to treasure your friendship. I can't really stop a bond like this, can I?"
"Thanks, Mom. I love you."
"Love you too. And I'm sure your father loves you dearly too."

"Isn't BBP supposed to be the current librarian of the Archives? The Pies take care of the Archives, do they not?" Cashew suggested.
The mother and son were thinking of who BBP was, Cashew evidently having more knowledge of the City of Wizards than Almond did.
"You're right..."
His mind was thinking of all the Cookies he knew.
From the camp, he knew Roguefort, Salt, Prophet, Pilot, Buttercream and Blueberry Pie...
"Oh! It must be Blueberry Pie, as in Blue-Berry-Pie! I knew her from camp."
"You did?"
"Yeah, we met during one of the challenges where I and Roguefort got whacked by falling Apple Bear Jellies that her partner, Cream Cookie, shook down from a tree."
"You were buried under the mountain of jellies, right?"
"Yeah," Almond replied with a chuckle.

"You stole a bar of soap?!"
"Dad, you just told me to steal something, you didn't tell me what."
"Roguefort!"
The father and son were standing in the living room.
Cheddar recently got into a brawl trying to steal a jewel; his injuries being so severe that he had to use a whole week to recover. Roguefort had presented what he'd found, but Cheddar was fuming.
Steam was basically bursting out of his head as Cheddar snatched the bar of soap that his son stole.
"I bet you just asked them and took it, you weakling... What proof do you have that you stole it?"
"You never told me I needed to give you proof!"
The two Cookies continued to quarrel about the bar of soap, Cheddar saying that Roguefort needed to steal something valuable, while Roguefort arguing back that he didn't specify.
Soon after, an annoyed Mozzarella Cookie came out of her room.
"Why are you two so loud?! I'm trying to devise a new plan for my next kill. For Millennial Tree's sake, can you two shut up?!"
"Roguefort just stole a bar of soap for his first mission, Mozzarella! He's supposed to be a thief stealing gold and silver, not some street rat that steals bread!"
"Dad, you never specified what I should've stolen! You could've wanted a roll of toilet paper or something. How would I know? Who am I, Prophet Cookie?!"
"Geez, calm down. Roguefort's never gonna be able to get to charming thief level if you two fight on every single mission he does."
"So, does that mean he can just steal a bar of soap from a mansion? A mansion! He could've chosen anything worth way more! Gold, silver, jewels... And what did he choose? A bar of soap!"
At this point Cheddar's face was red, and Roguefort's voice was rather hoarse from shouting at his father.
"Did you just tell him to steal something from the mansion?"
"Yeah, what about it?" Cheddar boomed.
"You didn't specify what, so it's partly your fault for choice of words. Roguefort, that doesn't mean you chose the right thing to steal. You went to the richest household in the Main City with an invite and there's a big array of things to steal from there that probably isn't properly guarded. As a thief, you should've chosen something more valuable. So, both of you are at fault. Now apologize to each other and don't waste my time."
The two Cookies looked at each other.
Cheddar, full of rage, turned away immediately.
"Sor-"
Roguefort tried to apologise but Cheddar Cookie cut him off.
"I ain't apologizing to him."
"Okay then, I won't too."
Both Cookies stood their ground before a frustrated Mozza held both of them up by their necks.
"Look, if you two don't apologize to each other immediately and pretend this never happened, I'll literally grab my knife and point it to y'all's necks."
The sound of keys dangling and a door opening suddenly reached their ears.
Gouda Cookie stepped in, carrying a bright red ruby in her hands, her makeup half on.
"Gee, did I seriously come home to see this?"
Mozzarella loosened her hold on the male Cookies, and put her hands up, as if she was surrendering.
"They two were fighting, I tried to help. They wouldn't budge."
Gouda sighed and put the jewel in a nearby safe before grabbing a rubber band to tie up her hair.
"What, would you steal a bar of soap when you get a chance to go to a literal mansion?!" Cheddar angrily retorted.
She perked up.
"...Did you just say a bar of soap?"
"The one on the table, why?"
Gouda, not caring to freshen her makeup, walked to the table and took a look at the bar of soap before laughing as hard as she could.
"Roguefort, you're such a genius. Mozza, dearie, get me a bucket of water."
"Why-"
"Just do it. Don't ask why."
Gouda took the time to change her appearance, taking off all her makeup while the bucket was being filled. Meanwhile, Cheddar stared at the bar of "soap", inspecting it until he laughed as well.
"I didn't know your acting skills were so good."
Roguefort, utterly confused, decided to play along; he knew that he'd probably stolen more than just a simple bar of soap from the bathroom.
A bucket of water was soon placed in front of the family. Gouda removed the plastic wrap and threw the bar of "soap" into the water.
Instantly, bubbles formed and a sizzling sound filled the room. A white foamy substance floated to the surface, then somehow faded away.
"Woah, this thing's loud!" Roguefort exclaimed.
"I certainly didn't expect the richest family to hide their valuables in such a pathetic way." Mozzarella commented.
Soon, the water was a milky white. Gouda reached a hand inside the water, lifted it up...
And a bright shining emerald sat on her palm.
