Three Months Later...
Roguefort is 16. Others retain their previous ages.
"Where are you? Buttercream Choco's waiting!"
"I'm coming, you know that I have to take a detour every time to avoid being caught."
"Ah, right, be here in 10 or we won't wait."
"Okay, fine."
Roguefort slipped his phone in his pocket before leaping to the next building, his cape billowing in the wind.
Over 3 months, he had mastered the arts of parkour and illusions. He still had to work on actual combat and the use of weapons(most of them which he was too afraid to touch), and Almond had rescheduled the meeting with Buttercream Choco, just 3 months later.
He'd spent his birthday with his family, though he really didn't have a choice, and his gift was not training for a day. It didn't seem much, but as the training grew tiresome, he knew it was a great gift.
His family had also gifted him with his disguise; resembling the cheeses with a suit and a cape in a bright yellow with a few blue spots and a top hat. Despite him not being proud of his ancestry, he'd accepted; he knew that no one would recognise him in this.
This was his "first mission": stealing a thing from Buttercream Choco's mansion.
He'd planned to steal something small, like a bar of soap or even a tissue roll; they weren't worth much.
Finally, he landed in the huge garden of the mansion; entering the mansion and easily navigating to the Cookie's bedroom, where Almond and Buttercream were.
"Woah, you came in here by yourself?!" Buttercream Choco exclaimed.
"Roguefort! I'm so glad you're okay, I haven't seen you in months!"
Almond rushed towards the Cookie, embracing him in a hug. Roguefort's mouth was in an O before he smiled and returned the hug.
Buttercream coughed a bit, diverting the two Cookies' attention back to him.
"Hehe, sorry to break the atmosphere. But I think we have to finish translating the book before my mother comes back."
"Geez, thanks for ruining the moment." Almond chuckled, "but yeah, we don't have that much time."
"Let's go then."
Buttercream Choco held up the keys and got a flashlight.
"Lead the way, you rich Cookie."
"I can't control which family I'm born in."
The Cookies went down a series of stairs, each one steeper than the rest. Almond was extra careful; Roguefort went down the stairs without a sound, reminding the other Cookies of a ghost.
His training kind of paid off, as Buttercream slightly scared the other two Cookies with every loud step on the metal stairs.
"What's with your outfit?"
"I swear, you're the only people that would recognise me in this. It's my...family costume."
After the final flight of stairs, Buttercream opened a wooden door, the cracking sound of it frightening Almond.
"Finally, that took too long," Roguefort exclaimed.
Buttercream shone the flashlight in the room, lighting it up.
"We're in the deepest part of the mansion's basement. Come in."
The three Cookies stepped into the room. Dust lined the walls, the room echoing every step the Cookies took.
"This is creepy."
"I've seen worse."
"Didn't think the richest family in the Main City would have a room like this."
"No Cookie has been here in at least 10 years," Buttercream explained, "this room is forbidden to every Cookie except for my mother."
"So we're breaking the rules?"
"Kind of. But it's fine. You need to know the truth."
"Let's do this."
The three Cookies searched the room for the book, Buttercream finding it sitting on an old stool.
"There it is! There's a beautiful Topaz on it..."
"It looks amazing..."
"I'm opening it! There's not much time now."
Taking a deep breath, Almond forced the heavy book open with all his might.
Before he could even read the ancient texts on the book, the book glowed a bright yellow before seeming to teleport away to somewhere.
All the three Cookies looked at where the book once sat in shock.
"...What in the name of the Millennial Tree just happened?" Roguefort asked.
"I have no idea."
"I'm getting bad vibes from this. Let's leave."
The Cookies quickly agreed before running up the flights of stairs again, not noticing the opened door.
Whilst running up the stairs, Roguefort suddenly remembered his mission.
He had to steal something from the mansion! Time was running out, and the book just slipped away from his hands. What could he do now?
The three Cookies reached the ground floor again, using their last energy to drag themselves into Buttercream's room before collapsing on the ground in a heap.
"That was a lot of exercise."

In the City of Wizards, a certain Cookie was touring the archives, keeping all the books in check.
Out of nowhere, a book came crashing from the sky, hitting the Cookie in the head, her glasses falling to the floor.
"What was that?"
Rubbing her Cookie head, she inspected the book before recognising what was on the cover.
"The Topaz tome, which holds all truths?!"
From the previous librarians of the Archives, she had learned about the 4 Tomes.
The Ruby, Topaz, Emerald, and Sapphire Tomes were sacred artifacts that carried important things that could change all of Cookieland if known.
At least, that was what she was told.
The Topaz tome was forbidden to those whose truths laid in it, according to the previous librarians. If one tried to open it, it would return to the Archives.
Well, she wasn't told that it would bonk the librarian on the head like a shooting star falling to the ground, but at least she knew now.
But who could've gotten their hands on it with a truth hidden inside?
The Cookie opened the book, caressing the old pages. On the contents page, one truth was shining.
Must be the one related to the person who touched it, she thought.
Flipping to the page that was glowing, she read the title.
"The Truth of the Nuts and Cheeses...?"
The skilled reader skimmed through the ancient texts, her eyes widening at the meaning of it all.
This could change the rivalry completely, and the fact fate had led her to be personally acquainted with the sons of the families...
She knew what she had to do.
The next day, she wrote a simple letter addressed to the Nuts' house.
Almond, come to the Archives. Find a date where you and Roguefort can both be present. There's something you need to know.

"Dad, you just told me to steal something, you didn't tell me what."

"Look, if you two don't apologize to each other immediately and pretend this never happened, I'll literally grab my knife and point it to y'all's necks."
