dialogue:

"bye, vinnie, thanks for taking me home." kingsley smiled as vinnie pulled up to her house. 

"yeah, of course. i had fun." vinnie said keeping his hand on kingsley thigh. "have fun on your date tomorrow with chris." 

"oh my god, it's not a date, vincent!" kingsley laughed. "i'll text you tomorrow. bye, vin!" kingsley said unbuckling her seatbelt. 

"hey," vinnie said causing kingsley to turn her head. 

vinnie looked in her eyes with a soft smile appearing on his lips. obviously sending kingsley into a trance. he was in his own one, too. his gaze moved from her eyes to her lips and then back to her eyes. he leaned in, his hand going under her hair and softly gripping the back of her neck. his were lips her centimeters away from hers when he looked back at her eyes.

"you're pretty." he said.

"kiss me." 

vinnie turned his head pressing his lips against hers, slightly tightening his grip on her thigh. vinnie lightly licked her bottom lip, causing her to smile into the kiss. 

"you probably should get going." vinnie said, his lips still close to her lips. 

"yeah, probably." kingsley said. vinnie gave her another quick peck and kingsley opened the door. "bye, vinnie." 

"bye, baby." he said causing goosebumps to grow on kingsley's arms.

dialogue:

"hey, chris!" kingsley said sitting down at a small table. "am i late?" 

"no, no, i'm just early." he said. 

"okay, great!" 

"so, how're you and vinnie?" chris asked immediately. 

"um, we're good. thanks for asking!" she replied.

"so, i saw he told all his tiktok fans about you." 

"yeah, i mean, he's my boyfriend." 

"for a week."

"your point being...?" kingsley said getting annoyed by his bluntness.

"c'mon kings, you're not dumb."

"don't call me that." she said.

"sorry, kingsley, you know how common it is for vinnie to mess with a girl for a week and then drop her? i just don't want you to get hurt."

"why do you care so much?" kingsley asked. 

"i'm just looking out for you, kingsley." 

"so you wanted to have coffee so you could tell me that you think i should break up with vinnie?" 

"kingsley, i just don't want you hurt. that's what he does. hurts girls."

"well, you know what, chris? i'm not dumb. and i know when someone is playing me, okay? i appreciate your random need to be my mother, but i'm good." kingsley said as she stood up.

"kingsley, i didn't mean it like that! i just didn't-"

"want me to get hurt, you've mentioned." kingsley said before standing up and leaving the coffee shop. she grabbed her phone and pulled out her phone. she held the phone to her ear as she tried to hold back her tears. 

"hey, baby," a wave of comfort washed over her when she heard his voice. 

"hey, vin, can you pick me up?" she asked trying not to cry.

"yes, where are you?" 

"i'm at the coffeeshop by the middle school." 

"i'm on my way." 

"k, thank you, vin."

"i'll be there soon." 

she put her phone in her bag as she stood outside the door, praying chris wouldn't come out and look for her. sooner or later, vinnie pulled into the parking lot. she quickly walked to the passenger door and climbed in, still holding back her tears. 

"did he touch you?" vinnie asked quickly, she could hear the anger in her voice.

"no, just please, drive." 

vinnie nodded and began driving not sure where to. he brought his hand to her thigh and lightly rubbed his thumb. kingsley grabbed his hand and held onto it as if she was falling. 

"wanna tell me what happened?" vinnie asked after a couple minutes of comfortable silence. 

"um, nothing really. i'm being dramatic, i don't know why." 

"tell me what's going on." 

"i sat down, and the first thing he says is 'are you and vinnie good?' and i'm like, 'yeah' and he's like 'it's weird he told his fans about you' and i'm like 'i'm his girlfriend' and he's like 'yeah but only for a week'-"

"why does that matter to him?" vinnie scoffed. 

"no clue, so i ask him that and he says that he doesn't want me to get hurt." 

"by me?"

"i guess, i don't know. i stood up and left." 

"well, he's a fucking dick. and i'm glad you called me." vinnie said looking over to kingsley at a red light. "where do you wanna go?" 

"i don't really care."

"my parents are out of town, touring colleges with reggie. you could come over and watch a movie or something."

"yeah, i'll do that." kingsley smiled, looking down at vinnie's hand that was still holding hers.

* * * 

"hey, kings, kings, baby." kingsley heard a voice whisper as she slowly opened her eyes. she looked around a second before meeting vinnie's eyes. "your mom is calling."

"oh, shit, thank you." she said grabbing the phone from him. "hey mom. yeah, sorry, things didn't go right, i'm with vinnie now. yeah, i'll tell you when i get home. um, they're out of town. oh my god, yes mom. yes, i know. i'm not stupid. okay, i will. love you too. bye."

"what'd she say?" vinnie asked. kingsley looked up, looking at his perfectly toned chest with a cross necklace sitting right in the middle of his pecs. she looked at his veiny arm as he rubbed her back. 

"she said no sex." kingsley smiled as she rested her head on his chest. it surprised kingsley, how comfortable she was with vinnie. 

"well, there goes my plan for the night." vinnie, who was now running his fingers through her dirty blonde hair, joked. 

"what time is it?" kingsley asked, wrapping her arm over vinnie's torso. 

"four." vinnie said. 

"oh my god, seriously?" she said as she rested her left elbow on the bed, and her right hand on his chest. "i slept for an hour and a half?" 

"yeah."

"oh my god, i'm so sorry." 

"are you kidding me?" vinnie chuckled.

"well, i had you trapped for an hour and a half!" kingsley laughed.

"i wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else." he said grabbed her chin with his thumb and index finger. 

"you're sweet." she said resting her head back on his chest. 

"and you're a cute sleeper." vinnie said as he rested a hand on the side of her head, stroking her hair. 

"you're annoying."

"i thought i was sweet."

"i take it back." kingsley smile and rested her chin on his chest.

vinnie looked at her in awe as he pushed her hair behind her ear causing her to blush.

"you're cute when you blush."

"annoying, i tell you, annoying!" she laughed before giving vinnie a kiss, which she thought was gonna be a quick peck, but vinnie's hand quickly grabbed the back of her neck. his tongue swiped her bottom lip, just like last time, but this time he slowly added his tongue to her mouth, deepening the kiss. 

with a sudden boost of confidence, kingsley pushed herself up against vinnie's shoulders, sitting on vinnie's lap, grabbing the sides of his face as vinnie's hands grabbed her waist.  

it surprised kingsley; how comfortable she was with vinnie. how right he made her feel. it seemed at that all her problems would drift away as long as vinnie's muscular arms were wrapped around her.
