"hey, kingsley!" chris hollered as he jogged up the stairs to where kinsley's locker was.

"hey, chris! what's up?"

"i heard you and vinnie are dating now?"

"i guess word travels fast."

"well, yeah, i guess when it comes out of vinnie's mouth." chris scratched the back of his neck. "but, yeah, i was just gonna talk to you about it!" chris said quickly.

"yeah, well, we're dating." kingsley smiled as she closed her locker.

"cool, cool. you happy?" chris asked as he began to walk with her to class.

"yeah, i am."

"good, good. so i guess this means you and i probably shouldn't go and grab coffee anymore?"

"what? no!" kingsley said as she stopped walking. "why would you think that?"

"well, it's just because you've got a boyfriend, and i don't really think he likes me." chris mumbled.

"okay, first off, i can be friends and drink coffee with whoever i want, no matter what. and vinnie doesn't have anything against you. i promise." kingsley said as she continued walking.

"thanks." chris smiled softly.

"so, this weekend?" kingsley asked.

"huh?"

"this weekend. let's get coffee."

"oh, yeah, for sure!"

* * *

"this sucks, vincent." kingsley said as she read over vinnie's paper.

"it can't be that bad. i copied like, half of it!"

"see, that's why it sucks!" maggie said. "if you're gonna plagiarize something, you can't half ass it. you have to go full on."

"or you could just write it yourself." kingsley said handing the paper back to vinnie.

"you underlined almost everything!" he exclaimed.

"you told me to underline everything that needed work." kingsley said shrugging before laughing.

"you're a brat." he laughed with her.

"i'm gonna go throw away my cup." maggie said standing up from the table they were sitting at.

"throw away vincent's paper while you're at it!" kingsley hollered.

"you're so mean!" vinnie yelled as she put his arm around her shoulders.

"hey, vinnie!" micha and sam yelled running  to them.

"hey kingsley." they both said as soon as the reached the table.

"vinnie, we need your paper." sam said.

"oh, don't bother. it's a c minus, at best."

"fuck you!" vinnie said as she laughed.

"well, i need to turn in something." micha said beginning to panic. "kingsley, give me your paper!"

"sorry micha, i turned it in last period."

"i'm gonna fail!" micha yelled!

"well, if it makes you feel any better, you would probably still failed if you used vinnie's paper." kingsley joked.

"kingsey." vinnie smiled.

"sorry, i'm done, that was the last one!" she said.

"hey, kingsley, it that your friend?" sam asked pointing to maggie who was now walking back to kingsley.

"ask her yourself."  kingsley smiled.

"hey, my name's sam. i just wanted to tell you you're pretty cute." sam said as maggie walked up in kingsley, who still had vinnie's arm around her shoulder and was now leaning her head on his chest.

"don't you have a girlfriend?" maggie asked.

"oh don't worry, that don't mean anything to him, right sam?" vinnie laughed looking at sam.

"man," micha laughed.

"shut up!" sam yelled.

"what?" kingsley asked.

"nothing!" sam quickly yelled causing kingsley to turn and look at vinnie. vinnie nodded his head slightly giving her a i'll tell you later look.

"i have to go pick up a paper for cheer. i'll se you in class, king." maggie said swinging her yellow, jansport backpack over her shoulder.

the bell rung soon after and the teens started standing up and grabbing their bags.

"well, great. it's sixth period and i don't have an essay." sam groaned.

"try flirting with the teacher!" micha said.

"oh, yeah! i'm sure that'll work." kingsley said sarcastically as vinnie grabbed her hand and interlocked her fingers, making butterflies appear in kingsley's stomach.

"you actually think so?" sam asked.

"n-" kingsley began.

"yes! do it, sam!" vinnie called back, interrupting her.

"you're evil." kingsley laughed as they both walked to class.

"yeah, well, he's stupid. it's fair." vinnie smiled looking down at kingsley. "we should do something this weekend."

"i agree."

"you got any plans?" vinnie asked.

"hm, yeah, i'm getting coffee with chris but we haven't decided on a time."

"who the fuck is chris?" vinnie asked with a confused look on his face causing kingsley to chuckle.

"my side hoe." kingsley said causally making vinnie roll his eyes. "chris daniles. he'a a childhood friend."

"oh that kid who listens to me talk in the locker room."

"yeah, maybe he's in love with you." kingsley joked.

"does chris know that you're my girlfriend?"

"yeah, of course. we're just getting coffee to talk."

"about what?" vinnie asked.

"i don't know, mr. protective. i told him you didn't hate him."

"why?"

"because he thought you hated him. do you hate him?"

"i will if he touches you." vinnie said as he and kingsley stopped walking since they were at her classroom's door.

vinnie flashed her a smile before leaning down and quickly pecking her lips before walking away. kingsley stood there for a second or two before looking down the hall to see vinnie walking backwards to the double doors. he gave her a wink before turning around and pushing the metal doors open. kingsley quickly looked down at her feet and gave a small smile.

"okay, mrs. blushy." maggie smiled as kingsley sat down.

"huh?" kingsley asked snapping out of her day dream that was simply the feeling of vinnie's hands on her cheeks before lightly pressing his lips on hers.

"oh my god! what do you have going through your head/" maggie asked chuckeling.

"nothing, nothing."

"girl, i'm not stupid. spill!"

"just, vinnie." kingsley smiled.

"what happened?"

"nothing, really."

"tell me, kingsley."

"he kissed me, is all." kingsley said as she reached into her backpack and pulled out her journal.

"oh my god," maggie said with a gasp. "y'all's first kiss!" she yelled.

"mag! shh!" kingsley said before giggling.

"was it a kiss kiss or just a kiss?"

"just a peck."

"has he kissed you before?"

"i mean, on our date. on my cheek, though. but i told you that."

"wow, y'all's first real kiss. that's exciting."

"it's really no big deal." kingsley lied as she grabbed her pen and dated her paper. her smile refusing to leave her face.
