Warning: A bit of cussing, not too much though!
(Y/N)'s POV
"Do you know that guy?" Thomas asked me, pointing at a kid our age eating alone.
"No, I don't..." I looked at him wondering if he was new. The boy had messy black hair and blue eyes.
"He looks lonely, maybe we should be his friends?" I suggested, thinking about how it felt when August and I sat alone during lunch.
"You're right." Thomas goes to stand up but stops in his tracks.
"Looks like Chels beat us to it," Thomas chuckled looking at the brunette girl sit down in front of the lonely kid.
"Well then, I think he'll be fine." I went back to eating my lunch and Thomas did the same, occasionally glancing at the pair.
~~~
"Why is he here?" Thomas asked looking at the boy from earlier at fencing practice.
"Maybe he just wanted to learn to fence?" I told him getting a sip of my water.
"He's very suspicious..." Tom glared at him and put on his fencing mask. Then he walked to the class he tutors in fencing.
"Somethings definitely up," Mr. Isaac told me as he walked to me.
"Yeah definitely..." I sighed and Isaac looked at me.
"Do you have any clue why he's like that?" He said gesturing toward the more angrier than usual blond.
"He has a grudge against that guy," I pointed at the black-haired guy fencing and laughing with Chelsea.
"Oh, you mean Jackson? He's new here," Isaac explained. I nodded in understanding taking in what he said.
"Rivalry maybe?" I suggested and Isaac answered,
"That could be it," He shrugged then his eyes narrowed.
"We've got a problem..." Isaac looked at the crowd in the middle of the room.
"Can't you see I'm teaching a class right now? Save your goofing off for later when you're not at practice." Thomas lifted his mask and glared at Jackson who had a malicious smirk on his face.
"Sorry man. Won't happen again, I'm new here..." Jackson rubbed the back of his neck and frowned. Chelsea sighed and put a hand on Thomas's shoulder.
"Let him be Thomas, Jay is new around here. We should be nice." Thomas's eyes narrowed then softened. He brought a hand to his forehead and sighed.
"You're right... I was being irrational. I apologize." Thomas offered his hand and Jackson took it. Chelsea smiled and grabbed Jackson's arm.
"I'll train him! You all get back to work okay?" She ran away with Jackson and he looked back at us with a smirk.
"I've got a bad feeling about this..." I told Mr. Isaac, he nodded in return.
~~~
"So Chels, you still up for walking home together?" Tom asked the petite girl who was drinking her tea.
"I can't Thomas, sorry. I promised Jay I'd give him extra lessons after practice at my house." Chelsea frowned then stood up.
"Speaking of which, there he is!" She waved at the boy walking in the Tea Shop.
"Hey, guys! It's about time we get going," Chelsea went ahead and ran to the door.
"Bye guys!" Once Chelsea was out of hearing range, Jackson turned to Thomas and whispered,
"She's really cute, isn't she? You think I could be able to get some nudes?" He smirked and bit his lip. I clenched my fist containing my anger. What a piece of crap! I glared at him and held my hand back from hitting him.
"Are you fucking kidding me? That's all you want?" Thomas's eyes darkened and he stood up facing Jackson.
"Get out of here," Tom regained his composure and took in a deep breath.
"She is single, isn't she? No boyfriend to stop me!" He said as he walked away, putting an arm around Chelsea's shoulders at the door.
"I hate that guy so much!!" I said through gritted teeth. Thomas took deep breaths and calmed himself down.
"He is absolutely disgusting!" He sighed and stood up.
"I have to go, we can tell Chelsea tomorrow." I smiled slightly and put a hand on his shoulder.
"I'm pissed too! We'll give him what he deserves!" I grinned at him and he smiled.
~~~
Soon we were back at practice. I was sitting with Thomas on the bench in front of the locker rooms.
"Do you want me to try talking to Chelsea?" I asked the blond boy sitting next to me.
"No, this is my problem. I need to deal with it myself." He said determinedly.
"Yeah, well Chelsea is my friend too!" I crossed my arms and laughed.
"Alright." He chuckled and shook his head.
"Hey (Y/N), Thomas! Guess what!" Chelsea immediately ran up to us and hugged me.
"What's up Chelsea?" I asked while laughing.
"Jackson just asked me out on a date!" She giggled and jumped excitedly. Thomas frowned but got rid of it quickly.
"I don't like him..." Tom glared the black-haired guy talking to three other girls.
"I really don't think you should date him, Chelsea..." Chelsea's smile fell and she looked at me.
"Do you think so too, (Y/N)?" She asked sadly. I just nodded.
"Well, I'll give him a chance. If it doesn't work out then I'll be fine!" She smiled and ran into the locker rooms.
Thomas's POV
I walked into my house after school taking a seat in my room, taking out my homework. I couldn't focus at all, not with the thoughts of Chelsea and Jackson together. I bit back my anger and put my head on my desk.
"Knock knock?" I heard Scarlett walk in my room worriedly.
"You okay Tom?" She sat on my bed and looked at my disheveled state. I just realized but my hair was a mess and I had eye bags starting to form.
"Yeah..." I mumbled.
"We are not doing this again." Scarlett smacked my head and I jolted up.
"Okay fine! I'm pissed off!" I stood up.
"It all started when this guy named Jackson joined our fencing class! He the perfect bad boy! All the girls love him! Especially Chelsea..." My younger sister smirked when I brought up her name.
"He started hanging out with her all the time. She wouldn't stop talking about him either! Jackson this Jackson that! She even has a nickname for him! She calls him Jay! And all of a sudden, Chelsea only calls me Thomas! Where did Tommy boy go?" I paced the room as I let off steam and Scarlett just sat back.
"I know what's going on..." She smirked.
"You, my brother, are jealous." I stopped in my tracks and stared right at her.
"Jealous? Why would I be jealous? I don't even like her that way!" I glared at her and Scarlett's smirk just grew.
"I never said in a romantic way! Friends can be jealous of other people stealing their friends! Unless... you are jealous in that way!!" Scarlett started laughing and I just stared in confusion.
"Am I...?" I sat back down and contemplated for a while.
"She's beautiful, smart, funny, and talented. Any guy would be jealous if a guy talked to her! People glare at me all the time!" I brought my hand to my chin and Scarlett just smiled to herself.
"Not to mention her little dimples that only appear when she bits her lip to stop herself from laughing in serious situations. And when she's worried her eyebrows furrow in the cutest way possible, but it always hurt me to see her sad. She also has this habit of messing with her fingers and ring that her mother gave when she's embarrassed or feeling shy..." My eyes immediately widened and Scarlett snickered.
"I do like her..." I admitted and smiled a bit.
"I do like her!" I repeated and hugged Scarlett.
"Thank you, sis..." She smiled and patted my back.
"You did most of the work! Now go get that a**hole!"
(Y/N)'s POV
"I'm going to beat him to a pulp!" I told Thomas as he arrived at fencing practice.
"What happened?" He asked confused.
"He straight up asked Chelsea for nudes!" I gestured toward the downtrodden girl who sat alone on a bench cleaning her mask with a frown on her face.
"Let's go talk to her," We walked toward Chelsea and she frowned.
"Chels, are you okay?" Thomas gently kneeling down to look her in the eye.
"I feel so pathetic! I should've listened to you two! I just liked the thought of finally not being the rebound..." A tear escaped her green eyes and she looked away, hiding her face.
"It's not your fault, I should've kicked him off the team." He wiped her tears and stood up.
"Let's go give him a piece of our minds." He put his hand out and she took it. The four of us walked to the blue-eyed playboy surrounded by girls. I heard a bunch of whispers saying things like, 'Thomas is hotter!' 'No Jackson is!'.
"Jackson. I'm kicking you off the team. Hell, even the fencing joint. You're no longer welcome here." Thomas spoke sternly to the care-free boy in front of him.
"Oh really now? Who made you king?" Jackson snickered and rolled his eyes. A crowd was starting to form around the pair.
"I'm asking you to leave. I want to keep a good environment for everyone here. They are actually here to fence." Thomas glared daggers into the black-haired guy's face. He scoffed.
"Did daddy's money make you captain?" Jackson sneered at Thomas.
"Tom became captain because of his amazing fencing and leadership skills, He's always been there for his friends and students!" Chelsea started to defend Thomas standing by his side.
"You've got a lot of nerve thinking that you can just come in here and insult our friend!" I yelled at him and he flinched a bit.
"Whatever, you guys aren't worth my time anyway." Jackson turned his head and rolled his eyes again. That was the final straw for Chelsea. She clenched her hand and formed a fist. She grabbed his shirt collar and punched him right in the cheek.
"This is for making me feel pathetic and tricking me!" Jackson saw stars and tears formed in his eyes.
"And this is for insulting Tommy!" Chelsea punched the jerk again and let him fall to the floor. He groaned and rubbed his cheek getting angrier.
"You bitc-." He got up and walked to Chelsea about to slap her. Thomas caught his wrist and glared.
"Lay a hand on her and you'll wish you never were born." Jackson started crying and fell to the ground.
"You're all crazy!" Jackson had pure fear in his eyes and scurried out the building. Thomas washed his hands and high-fived Chelsea and me.
"How about some tea to celebrate?" Chelsea suggested. We all nodded and made our way out. I let the pair walk in front because obviously they need to get their feelings sorted out. Man, just get together already.
Hey guys! Sorry if it's too long, I got really excited and might've made it longer than expected! Love you all!
