Kenny told us how Levi had been started acting strange one day. He kept having nightmares about his previous life in another universe and wasn't sleeping even more than usual. He said he was mumbling to himself often, talking about different lives and timelines. Kenny was hesitant on telling Levi anything since he already seemed to be losing his mind, so he hoped maybe he would naturally start to remember and eventually come to his senses.

When the incident at the park happened, Levi seemed to have recognize me instantly from his nightmares and knew he had to find me and talk to me. He followed me all the way to my place and snuck inside. I guess a part of me should feel weird about the whole thing, having someone sneak into your home...but genuinely, I was grateful it happened.

He also explained that the entire law enforcement in this town was ran by the cult, and that it was a very corrupt system. The cult members were working on extracting certain powers from people to use in a sort of black market business. The church was just a cover up to use to get people to join them, preying on small minds and desperate people. I still barely understood what my powers were, aside from stories expressed by  glimpses of my past that I am able to recall. Whatever it was I possessed that allowed me to use magick and manipulate energy, it was something very old and sought after in this world

Truthfully I wanted nothing more than a solution to this all, to make it stop. I wanted to just live my life with him. Seems like every time we tried, we failed. Honestly it was so depressing that at some point I started to drown out Kenny's voice as the truth began to stare at me with such an ugly and depressing face.

I had failed...so many times. I was tired, my spirit was exhausted. What if this was it? If I died this time, what if that's it for us? This man has struggled each timeline to keep me breathing, he must be tired too, right? Surely a soldier like him could live this life without me constantly causing his suffering....

I shook my head...fighting the intrusive thoughts creeping on me. The sound of their voices seemed so far away, something about infiltrating the church, something about creating the elixir...something about....

And that's when it all went black.
